    Thread of Nonsensical Ramblings

This thread is for the kind of random "electronic waste" that is normally spewed out in the confession thread, that has nothing to do with confessions. I thought that by giving off-topic posters an alternate venue for the rambling thoughts they feel compelled to publicly blurt out, they may stop ruining the confession thread.

And this way, only people who enjoy skimming past random, boring posts will be exposed to them. So, if you've got some miscellaneous thoughts, videos, pictures, etc., that you want to get off your mind... this is the appropriate thread to do it in.

    Hi back Johan

Congratulations for being the first contributor to this thread, as you win a hand job.

As for that salmon, it looks more mad than chub/chubby, as it's little salmon face is squinched up to the point it resembles the head of a snapping turtle.

It's too bad the U.S. doesn't have any republican presidential candidates as clever as that artist. At first I thought the text captions should be the other way around, butt then I realized that being inebriated makes the "old" lady see herself as young again.

That's easy... a Scottish comic strip called, "The Broons." How could any comic aficionado not know that?

Seriously? You knew it without checking? I thought that 'The Broons' and 'Oor Wullie' were virtually unknown outside Scotland, and certainly not in Uranus U.S.A. / Canada (ASSuming that's where you're from, butt I could be wrong)

    OK, here's another one....

Does anyone know if there's a specific name for this mathematical pattern?

If there isn't, then I'm hereby patenting and copyrighting it as 'ChickenGuy's Triangle'

I thought it up a decade ago.

    P.S.

If you replace '1' with every successive prime number from '5' onwards i.e. 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, etc. and follow the pattern, then you'll get every number that exists, represented in a series of numerical triangles.

EDIT: I forgot about the squares of the prime numbers (25, 49, 121, 169, etc.)

EDIT: And the cubes. And the multiples of two primes (35, 55, 65, 77, etc.)

    I give up. *scraps patent*

I just research..the gayest Greek Gay God is Apollo-3 male lovers (Hyacinth, Cyparissus, and 1 more I forgot)
    followed by Hermes- 1 (Crocus)
    Zeus- 1 (Ganymede)
    Poseidon- 1 (Pelops)
    Pan-bi, numerous lovers
    Dionysius- Power btm

The straightest greek God is Ares- the God of War
& perhaps Haphaestus- 'cuz he's so fugly.
Hades- also very straight. He wanted a bride, he kidnaped (Persephone) and raped her right away.

Ironically, Apollo is the God of male athletes, the God of Sports & Music- he's very Olympic related no wonder..

    16 24 36 54 81

Well your post is kind of old, but I'll solve it anyways. But I'm sure my explanation is gonna be stupid.

I'm not sure if I'm supposed to find the next sequence, but I'll attempt it anyways. But there are actually different patterns in the triangle.
1)The one that I saw first was that the first sequence determines the the differences between the numbers in the next sequence.

Ex: 1 is the difference between 2 and 3. 2 is the difference between 4 and 6, 3 is the difference between 6 and 9. 4 is the difference between 8 and 12. 6 is the difference between 12 and 18. 9 is the difference between 18 and 27. And so on.

    2) The first numbers in each sequence are powers of 2.
    3) The second numbers in each sequence are 3 x the powers of 2.
    EX: 3x2, 3x4, 3x8, 3x16, so on.
Well actually, that's how all the rest of the numbers are. Edit: Actually, I don't think that's how the rest of the numbers are. But whatever, too lazy to figure out the other patterns

So the next sequence of numbers would be:
    128 192 288 432 648 972 1458 2187

To find this, I found the next power of 2 to get the first number. Then used the first pattern I described to find the next numbers.
    Maybe I'm right?

    Edited in for prettiness factor:

    1

    2 3

    4 6 9

    8 12 18 27

    16 24 36 54 81

    32 48 72 108 162 243

    64 96 144 216 324 486 729

    128 192 288 432 648 972 1458 2187

Sorry all, more nonsensical ramblings about this triangle.

I overthought it..by a lot. Multiply the numbers in each sequence by two to get the corresponding numbers in the next. IE: Multiply the first number by two to get the first number in the next sequence. Multiply the second number by two to get the second number in the next sequence. Multiply the third number to get the third number in the next sequence. To get the last number, add the numbers on the right end of the current and previous sequences.

    Where was I? Oh yeah..

    This:
= Please dont tell anyone! Sshh...rarely used.

= Im good, Im angel, not even used.

= Bullshit. It might used when the topic getting super-hot by trolls

= Description of horniness..I wanna blow u chomp chomp!

= Speak to the hand. Lacking sarcastic gesture, I think..it could be effective smiley to defy trolls or..I dont want to hear it. Rarely used.

= I love it! But kind of corny symbolism than the other one. I like it, flattered, happy, giggity.

= for horny purpose only, It might've been used under the radar like Pm, maybe

= Rosy cheeks, shy, happy embarrassment, smitten, flattered, look quite drunk also.

= My signature, if I can. ^ What is this use for?

= very..UGLY smiley. It supposed to be "idea" like aha! Light bulb! But it came along more like a cyclops saying OooO. Who used this?

= Sarcastic rolling eyes..but less sarcastic than the blue one. Usually used for goofing around, like "oops my bad" or to point a very off putting comment.

= I used this alot until I saved this in speed dial ^ Jk. This one is Mr.Green. It's my signature for cheekiness and unapologetically humor. Even though it's off putting.

= Genuine laugh..for funny stuff, usually when we're fooling around..

= Mad. Rarely used I thought it's quite funny looking

= Hmm...cunning smirk, what's the catch? Being evil, mischief, also horny, pervert idea..however, rarely used for sarcastic purpose.

    = Exclamation. Nobody used this

= Lol ^^ My sigs..It's like O-really? Hmm..pretend to confuse. Pretend to be innocent while secretly being sarcastic. Very complex and funny smiley!^ Usually comes after funny stuff too.

= Classic smiley. People usually use this for genuine purpose such as good feeling, thank you, courtesy, etc..but the lack of expression could indicate more complex feedback. It's like saying Goodnight, ttyu tomorrow this smiley could hinder op's real intention, he might not talk to you tomorrow...

I overthought it..by a lot. Multiply the numbers in each sequence by two to get the corresponding numbers in the next. IE: Multiply the first number by two to get the first number in the next sequence. Multiply the second number by two to get the second number in the next sequence. Multiply the third number to get the third number in the next sequence. To get the last number, add the numbers on the right end of the current and previous sequences.

Lol, you've actually thought about it a completely different way than I ever did, focusing on the bottom numbers and then extrapolating divisions of them with regard to the number above. And would you believe that I NEVER relaised that the bottom right number equalled the sum of the numbers to its left and above it? All those times looking at it and I never caught that.

What I focused on was the premise of starting with '1' alone at the top, and then putting '2' and '3' down below it, and then continuing to put down numbers where the double of it went lower left and the triple of it went lower right. I found out that the triple of one number was always the same as the double of its neighbour (because 2x3 is the same as 3x2). So multiples of 2 and 4 and 8 fall down the left, multiples of 3 and 9 fall down the right, and multiples of 6 fall down the centre.

And then I realised the only numbers MISSING were 5 and 7. So I made triangles for them too. In fact, the only numbers missing were the prime numbers. 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23 etc. etc.

The first number that couldn't be put down anywhere was 25. Because whereas 1x1=1, 5x5=25. So I put it above the 5 triangle. Keep on going and you start to create an inverted triangle above each triangle for its square number. The same with 49 for 7, 121 for 11, etc. etc.

But then there comes another problem - 35. It's 5x7 and 7x5 and so belongs in both triangles but there's no place for it. The same with 55 and 65 (5x11 and 5x13). And then when you reach 125 (5x5x5) it has to be put somewhere else too.

It gets progressively more and more complicated and impossible to place numbers down within the triangles, especially those involving complex muliples of 5 and 7 and 11.

    P.S....

I was really more into this 10 years ago than I am now. I've largely lost interest. But back then I used to try to type out as many numbers as I could on Microsoft Excel, and I colour-coded them as well 5=red, 7-green, 11-blue, 13-yellow, 17=magenta, 19=cyan, 23 onwards darker shades of colours, 100 onwards grey of differing shades.

I didn't realise it at the time, but now, looking back on it, it's pretty obvious that all of this behaviour of mine was indicative of Asperger's. So there it is.

    Zechariah 14:12

“Now this will be the plague with which the LORD will strike all the peoples who have gone to war against Jerusalem; their flesh will rot while they stand on their feet, and their eyes will rot in their sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouth. On that day a large-scale panic from the LORD will spread among them. One person will grab the hand of another, and one will attack the other.”

“We are all of us participants in a world of concrete music, geometry and number … a world of sounds, forms, motions, colors, so mathematically related and coordinated that our bodies, equally with the farthest star, vibrate to the music of the spheres.”

^ TNG. Season 6. 'Chain of Command, Part II'. Picard has been captured by the Cardassians and subjected to torture and psychological stress. He was repeatedly shown four lights by his captor, repeatedly asked how many there were, but told that there were supposedly five, and given an electric shock if he told the truth. In short, they were trying to break him into submission by getting him to voluntarily agree with a lie. Just after that scene he was rescued. Later on, back on the Enterprise, he privately admitted to Counsellor Troi that at one stage, his mind had actually started believing that there were indeed five lights.
