Each generation deals with many of the same issues at different intensities, new technology, war, issues of human nature such as racism, homophobia, etc. I think it's just easy to look at a generation that is either developing or in its process of contributing to humanity and assume that it's doing poorly because of the larger, less influential base. It's not necessarily the 98% of our generation's population that will grow up and invent a, b, c, or d that will directly contribute to society and mankind, but the 2% that makes breakthroughs in their respective fields to make the world better for everyone.

I feel safe saying that no one can name even half of Generation X, but I'm sure that there were a few specific people that stand out in comparison to the rest. It's not to say that the rest of the generation is unimportant because we all contribute through the networks of people that we help and influence throughout our lives, but I think it's unfair to say that any generation is of lesser quality because the youth enjoy Facebook, tweeting, and Rihanna.
I agree with this for the most part.

But I think the Millenials really do represent a quantum leap, as compared with Generations X and Y. Yes, it's true, I like to tease the Millennials for not having proficiency in certain things, but at the same time...

...they have begun to bring in a complete change in paradigm, and thank the Lord for that. Mankind has suffered long enough under tyranny, especially the tyranny of religion. As I said before, this change in paradigm has begun to manifest itself in raw numbers--higher attendance at the polls, a marked difference in voting patterns, etc.

I find it a most welcome change.

    Quasar lives near Boston.

Boston, England, that is. I just looked up his home county Lincolnshire on maps.google.com, and walked the streets of Lincolnshire. It's beautiful! So quaint you could eat it with a spoon.

I didn't see many large cities, though. (Boston looks like a village.) One oddity I noticed is that the country lanes look really small--really, just one lane roads. They look rather difficult for two cars to navigate comfortably.

We British are experts at driving past cars at speed with about 1mm space between us.

We're used to navigating very narrow spaces. It was probably one of those farm access roads you saw.

The closest I ever got to Lincolnshire was the Humber Bridge. I've never visited Eastern England or East Anglia.

LOL. I'm actually a few miles from Lincoln, Boston is way down in the southeast of the county, but yes, there are some quite beautiful places in Lincolnshire. The southern part of the county is extremely flat but the Lincolnshire Wolds are nicely undulating and quite picturesque - in fact they're basically a continuation of the Yorkshire Wolds.

Damn! I think I stuck that plastic cigar container too far up my ass while jacking off. There was shit on it when I took it out. I washed it for 10 minutes and I can still smell it. What should I do?

The place I found was flat, but very pretty. Bucolic. It reminded me in a lot of ways of New England, but the architecture was somewhat different.

I still marvel over those narrow lanes. ChickenGuy says you can pass each other at a very fast speed on those lanes. That sounds too scary for me--the rest of my hair would fall out from fright.

I liked the way the hedges are trimmed; they almost look as if they were molded out of clay.

Despite her bad rep, I actually adore Kim K in some points..
She has pretty high aesthetic fashion sense, I like things she wear, 2 days ago I just finished watching 768+ something her slide show on fashion bistro.
+ She's so cute/hot and somehow wary me from my job as fashion analysis to a perv who targeting her tatas/ booty She just giving me strange reaction that is so confusing to me.
Here's a thing, Kim K still not talented in any aspect, an empty headed bimbo who went bedazzled at the Grammy/ award nomination with empty substance in herself, and I bet in her head too..(what's going on here? )
Her talent is social, being a powerful social butterfly and also as a business woman (she knows how to run her money)
Although Im disagree with her way in life but I dont underestimate her.
And I thought she has little/few artistic sense..? She has good eye for color coordination in mix and match her clothing..
that's all, not true artistry in some level. Her style developed much from 2009 to know, from early party-tart girl to a very sophisticated woman.
If she was dress up by stylist then I took some credits out of her
So what's to hate for Kim K? I bet she looks pleasant when she meet you and smells good from hair to toe..
    haterz gonna hate.

Someone posted a thread that I believe belongs in CE&P. I want to report it and ask the mods to move it there, but I'm afraid they'll say no or question me on why I think it should be moved or something.

Way to put this thread back on topic.
Have you tried washing it in the dishwasher? Maybe use some bleach?

    I'll try that. Thanks.

As for reporting threads to be moved, I do it all the time and they never question me on why. They usually do it too. Go ahead and report it. I think you'll be fine.

not to be an asshole BUT i dunno about the whole 24/7 dwelling over what happened in connecticut on the news and even on here. it's NOT healthy to be bombarded with that. me, i'm already someone who is a bit down in the dumps and can easily have my mood go downhill quick so i would rather not overexposure myself to that. seen enough yesterday.

thatgirl posted a clip of one of the parents of the victims crying on the news. that to me is depressing. i dunno why what the media thinks is so hot or cool about someone grieving and crying on the news. it irks the shit out of me. leave them alone.

I couldn't watch that video either and apparently there's also footage of the children sharing their experiences too. I watched a few seconds of the mom speaking and just turned it off. I honestly never know how exactly how to feel after tragedies. I usually beat myself up for whatever stance I stake (because usually more than one opinion will have merit), which I guess is kind of selfish really since I should be more concerned with what happened and less concerned with my own emotions. I think there's some sort of gray area between reporting what happened and 'glorifying' the violence, but it seems inappropriate and disrespectful to bring that up at a point after something like that happens.

yeah, it's basically sensationalism at this point. the tragedy happened already and of course, it's sad just hearing about it. do we have to be reminded of it 24/7? it's sad that we live in a country where it's the norm to hear about tragedies on the news. this may sound messed up but i can understand why everybody is shocked but i can't understand why they're shocked as if this isn't the norm. we live in a country which promotes this kind of shit as twisted as it is. how many school shootings and mass killings you know of where there's multiple killings but everybody knows who the killer is BUT nobody knows or gives a fuck about the victims. you never see any documentaries about any victims that have died BUT yet there's always 101 documentaries on murderers. folks give these murderers airtime. now watch someone go and make a documentary about this sicko or write a book about his life basically giving him publicity and some unwarranted fame like the columbine shooters and the va tech nutjob. this country glorifies killers and it also glorifies negativity on a regular basis. no wonder why people are depressed. it's sickening.

Well, I think it deserves the coverage, but I feel like it should be from a perspective of driving change and keeping it from happening again. Other than that thought I'm just very conflicted about the entire situation. I don't know how it can be remedied and there's really nothing stopping it from happening again tomorrow or the next day. That's a problem.

and that's the main reason why i said that i'm surprised that people are surprised at this happening. folks forgot about columbine and virginia tech. folks got worried about it for about a month or some weeks or two then went about their lives as if nothing happened. didn't stop or changed anything. life went on. folks was acting like something like this could never happen.

i'm just curious to see how this will play out. my guess is that it's going to be talked about for about a month and then people will move along with their lives basically acting like nothing happened.

I sexually assaulted myself last night. I kept saying no...butt deep in the area of my prostate gland I knew I wanted it. In the end, after several seconds of intense struggling, the middle finger of my left hand won out as it forceably penetrated my anus and had it's way with me.

sometimes jub reminds me of a prison facility. something like new jersey state prison. you have the general population. then you have the different populations such as the shu population and the protective custody bunch. the protective custody bunch would be the straight guys in the amateur area which don't post with the general population. the shu population would be the posters that are banned and the ones that have a bad reputation. the death row would be all the virgins on this site that haven't fucked yet. *shrugs*

By playing the awful bumper music they're playing (which Nancy Grace over on CNN does as well...or used to), it's like MSNBC is going out of their way to make sure that everybody stays depressed.

It's all a numbers and ratings game. Sad and pathetic.

I've worked in news for several years and I know that while people are genuinely 'sad and distraught', stations/networks are thinking about airing the best coverage and making #1 in their markets.

they're just completely insensitive towards people. some of them try to act sad but they seem fake.

I did something in particular I am not proud of. My mom called me late last night to bitch about her husband and I let my roommate who's a psychologist listen in our conversation. Apparently my dad's fat ass knocked over the Christmas tree. Course he denied it but it was one of those: "this type of thing doesn't magically happen on its own" especially with the direction the tree fell. Not to mention it looked like he tried to clean it up. I just yes'd her along because I am jaded by these happenings. My roomie seriously wondered why these two were still married. Course if I were divulge my childhood to her, it would irrationally make sense. Although she has heard me bitch about my mom and thought I was making it up but she realizes that I wasn't and these antics are sadly recurring.

I thought of my friend with benefits tonight while eating a twinkie, because it's yellow and filled with cream.

then I felt like a huge racist for thinking that.

I've been in a mood today. Not sure if it's SAD-related, or just lack of sleep, but I've been pretty cranky. I ate a bunch of Chinese food, joked around online, and am about to have a 43 toddy...and now everything's OK again.

i actually laughed at this. for some weird reason, this cracked me up. it wasn't so much about the guy that died for real. it's more of them explaining to big bird what death was. "but big bird he's dead. when someone is dead, they don't come back. ever????" ya think?

is it me or does big bird with all those feathers look like a big ear of corn?

Actually there is something about news nowadays that is absolutely mind boggling-crazy
    People these days..
It's not difficult to find controversial news from sites..
~I just heard an attacker burn 8 yo boy on his bday, the boy survived but die to cancerous result from burned skin. The boy successfully identify his attacker and that SOAB got justice he deserved.
~Another story..an insane dad cut his wife's pregnant stomach (5 months?) Thank God, just in time..911 arrived on the scene! The wife survived! But the baby unfortunately not..
~Recently, a dad engraved inverted pentagram on 6 yo son's back during 12/12/12 as a reminder of apocalypse
~Who put kitty in freezer? This guy..

*** And...from all those bizzare news, what surprise me more is to know that "female sex offenders" are on the rise! I heard 3-4 cases older woman (cougar) as mom/school teacher..lure under-age boys/ student to have sex, this year alone!
    That just..
    Does woman becoming pigs nowadays?
I know the boys are hardly violated, but still

I can handle this scenario better than the story of the bitch that put the kitty in the oven.

I didn't sleep right for three weeks when I heard about it. I found it especially appalling that the perpetrator was a woman! I still can't believe it.
