Poppy Z. Brite did OKAY. Like I could read it and not mentally reject it as unrealistic or whatever. But if you read her books you'll definitely get that it's written by a fag hag. lol.

    Thank you!

I e-mailed the link to myself to remind me to read them when I have more free time. Might be a couple weeks tho' before I can emerge myself in them. I'll get back to you after I've read them!

Blegh, I need to be careful. I just sent my aunt half of an inappropriate text by mistake. Thank God it doesn't make sense with just the second half...

    Her response:

    "Umm..what?"

So I just got back from a date with a guy and he showed up to the date pretty buzzed already. I've done something similar but I found it kind of cute with him. Hopefully he agrees to a second date.

I would be pretty turned off if a first date showed up drunk.

I'm not a big prude, but I would have to say same. Definitely sets a bad impression. More like what you'd expect of a 17 year old or something.

showing up to a first date drunk sounds like a warning sign for an alcoholic.

I think I might drop this guy because he's always wanting to talk on the phone... it's just really rare for me to have a large block of time where I have privacy and nothing else to do.

Right ? Though not on the first date.

I had a guy pull out a cigarette on a date while we were at the park, which I found kind of funny and ironic (especially since they're trying to make it illegal here). Smelling his cigarette for a while made me realize how much I hate it, so that was a learning experience. That's about it, though. Weed or showing up drunk would just kill it.

In spite of my VERY strong liberal/progressive political views (and those of you who are in C E & P are well aware of this...I'm not at all far removed from GiancarloC), most of the "major" traveling I've done with other people has been with rabid and/or rather extreme Republicans. A rather surprising thing that I just realized myself a couple days ago.

The guy who I used to take a lot of "record hunting trips" with (TONS of such trips in the late 70s/early 80s, and the last one in 1988) was a Rick Santorum type Republican, a generation ahead of his time...haha. More recently, a guy who I've taken three "county-hunting" trips with, is also big time Republican (and, most recently, I took him to the Upper Peninsula at the end of April).

I'm talking about a possible 2013 overseas trip with somebody [to Thailand??] and, likewise, he's a Republican.

Speaking of dating and vices, I like to test guys on dates by showing them my vices. First, I give them the "smoke test" by smoking a cigarette in front of them to guage their reaction, and if it's neutral or positive, and they still seem interested, they've passed the test. Then, I give them the "drink test" by ordering a drink somewhere (i.e. bar, restaurant, etc.), to see if they mind that I drink in moderation. Then, I give them the "weed test" by casually bringing up the subject in conversation to let them know I smoke weed in a roundabout way. If they pass all three tests and don't seem to care if I do those things, then we're good to go. If they fail the tests by showing any sign of disapproval, we're done. The date's over.

It might sound immature at my age but I don't care. It's just my little way of weeding out the mismatches (no pun intended) and saving time. I'd never show up drunk or high on a date, or try to impose my vices on anyone, but I always lay my cards out on the table. What you see is what you get. Take it or leave it. I don't care if a guy is straight-edge (a non-smoker/stoner/drinker), as long as he doesn't care that I'm not.

Re: Confess something that might surprise others or damage your reputation on JUB - 2012

i can be very sensitive at times where my emotions can change within a moments notice out of the slightest misunderstanding. one thing is that i don't know how to take jokes made about me really well without getting angry. i can easily take things the wrong way where i'll get offended. even though i'll contain my anger for a minute, it'll just bottle itself up and before i know it, i get extremely heated and thinking about something in the past where i develop a full blown hostility towards somebody. even if we do patch things up, i still will not let my guard around somebody where i don't forget and will be ready to let off on them if they act up again.

i also don't like it when people misunderstand or misinterpret me. just because i say "yo, know what i'm saying, man", will drop a curse word or many, express myself in a certain way that comes off threatening doesn't mean that i'm a thug or from the streets or that i was raised by wolves. just because i'm gay doesn't mean that i'm weak or some guy that you can mistake for a bitch. just because i'm black doesn't mean that i'm a thug, a thief, a crook, a shoplifter, and every form of negative person in the book. treat me like a human being instead of fucking with me. i can be the nicest, sweetest, and adorable guy or i can be the meanest, coldest, scariest guy. i just want my respect, to be left alone and treated like everybody else, that's all. it doesn't take much to get me on either side so treat me with caution. i don't want any problems so if you feel that you are going to be a problem where you're going to bring out the ugly side of me, divert yourself away from me. thanks in advance.

Personally I'd rather someone lay their cards on the table or be straightforward with me. I actually wouldn't mind if a guy that I was talking to just flat-out said he smokes weed, drinks, etc. We're adults. If I feel a certain way then why not express it? The same goes for anyone else. I'm always apprehensive about letting someone know that I'm interested, but once I'm over that hurdle and I feel that it's reciprocated then I don't really feel that same level of reservation.

Some people can see good within the asshole exterior. I've made a few friends who are like that though yes, granted, it's not a good approach if what you care about is ease or quantity of friendmaking.

I found this whole popularity member thing is awkward and tactless..
unless a member already long gone and we making memorial for him.

but I kudos for the "direct" up in your face energy on this thread , rather than "psst-psst...there are some jubbers that bla-bla-bla"
bitch please If you have anything to say, say that in front of him! ^^

and perhaps, maybe because we're biologically men, we dont predisposed to do backstabbing bitchiness like Kelly, Christina or Ashley...3 popular bitches in my highschool who like to throw indirect bitch-stab over their opponent (usually bullied girl) out loud when she's arrived in class. I was behind them while they forcing me to hear..OMG..totally complete bitchiness..

maybe that's why..after that, I rather NOT to complain human flaws and therefore I keep maintain an impression that people are rarely pissing me off. ( Take that as 1 honest Unicruu point )

and maybe because I observed that character from chatty-girls, I find it odd in men to do such things...it's very feminine and not to mention: unattractive. When you talking behind someone's back...it's like you act like an "actual girl", even drag queen is butch-er than you.
    So, things to considerate. -_-

The point is to be casual about it and present it as a non-issue, instead of "confessing" or "talking about it" like it's a big deal, which it isn't for me. The less seriously I take it, the less they tend to, and vice versa. In other words, I'm being myself (warts and all) in front of them, and letting the chips fall where they may.

I visited kindergarten my sis went as babysitter (part time job)..and realize how lovely the world back then

If you remember preschool education, it wasn't rocket scientist, no ^^

but we taught warmness, kindness, love, moral, caring one another....
where those characters went on us..?
Are we completely lose our innocent?
Or does a real world is too complex to bear?

Sometimes I think...wow, a kid went through out very different phase when he/she was a kindergarten and now as a teenager..,as I see from my little sis, 13 yo now. Cute baby and now a cocksure punk girl..

Maybe we do lose our innocents/values as we grow up..
or does human has tendency to be bad?

However, I often thought that...people who do terrible things to others, they didn't graduate from kindergarten ..

Kids pretty much start being mean by 1st grade at the latest. Just sayin.

^I think human nature is very inconsistent. It's full of variables. I work with children at my current job and I see some of them being extremely kind and supportive to each other. Other times, however, I see the opposite. I think the fact that humans have free will means that they may not necessarily have an inclination to either side overall. It's pretty individualistic I think.

Aww, but notes are so sweet! I got asked to prom via a note (attached to a card) on my birthday. I kept both of them .

With all these people exhuming names from the past that have long gone, I roll my eyes that a friend on here got banned cuz of a mod's racism. My friend was rude about it but it doesn't excuse the mod.

This seems somewhat useful as I'm not into dating smokers, of any kind. Friendship is another matter.

My confession: For the longest time, I thought I was out as bisexual to a section of my family (my mom included), but it turns out that I'm not. I'm not exactly sure what happened.

human is inherently easier to get bad ^^ as seen at Lord of The Flies..

but we all came from loving environment..we all supposed to be raised from that root.
It might because of reality push us to be mean, lie, slander, etc to survive while some people addicted to malicious way.
We're inherently good btw, it just because bad circumstance snap us to be a bad person...that's my formula for sane/normal human being.

    * I notice..this is the right way to write "innocence"
I cant wrote " Do we lose our innocent?" and pretend that was right.

this adj? has same character with "difference"

    "our differences" not.."our different"

    sorry for my behavior

Actually there is a jubber I kind of worry..and I wish I can pm him over something but it seems he's acting tough/unbothered while a guy he likes acting like a jerk..
I really want to ask/make sure over this thing, but unsure..

yeah we can talk "hush hush" about someone if we care/caring/loving/cruishin and other positive feelings
I still practice what I preach...

You should just do it... talking about it in hush hush won't get to the root of whatever it is.
