Agreed. Davey's one of my favorites. Really intense, not gimmicky and a damn good wrestler. His match with Tyler Black at Death Before Dishonor VII (in 2010) is one of my all time favorite matches, both in terms of the storytelling and athletism AND in just plain hotness. I heard that too. If you break the Wellness Policy 3 times, the wrestler's contract will be terminated. Obviously, WWE doesn't want to get rid of Orton, so they're using injury to cover it up.

It irritates me that the main eventers are getting special treatment. If it was a mid-card wrestler that did this, they would get rid of them without even thinking about it.

Though the circumstances surrounding Randy's injury are odd, we don't yet know if this is true, so it's just gossip. If it's true, shame on WWE, especially because IMHO they really don't need to hold onto Randy.

I'm actually a little relieved that Randy will be off TV for a while. Though he garners an amazing amount of pop, and he's a great athlete, his character has been a bit stale as of late and his recent feud with Barrett has been booked pretty horribly. The brand will survive in his absence, it will give other wrestlers something to do, it will rightfully keep him out of the World Heavyweight title picture for a while... and when Randy comes back, hopefully he'll be given a fresh gimmick.

I feel the same about Del Rio and his recent injury, which by all account is a legitimate injury. Del Rio's schtick has been getting a bit tired and a break would seriously help him re-endear himself to the audience. Use the time to develop Ziggler into a full-blown main eventer in a feud with Punk, and use Del Rio's real life recovery as a storyline when he comes back, force him to remain a mid-carder for a while and bring him back to main event status late next year.
