LA City Council voted 9-1 in favour of the law yesterday morning. The law only applies to film productions within the LA city limits. As only 5% of all film permits issued within this area are to adult productions, I'm not sure how much this will affect production. As one adult industry insider pointed out, there are about 20,000 different gun laws in operation but they have made little or no difference in gun ownership or use - they exist to give the impression that gun crime is being tackled. I imagine that this law will make little or no difference.
