Great, thanks for the info. When I was a member a few months back, I don't remember downloading anything prior to 2008 but all the ones from SC servicing the guys to the most recent movies are DRM free. To save money, I'd recommend selecting the recurring option and then cancelling the renewal.

SC does NOT use drm on any of their videos. As other have said, this has been true for several years. All videos that are currently available from sc are drm free. (I've downloaded the complete library in the last two years.) These videos date back as far as 2001. From time to time, SC has removed a few of the videos. For example, all of the videos that showed Sean Cody himself are no longer available from sc. Because sc has always numbered their videos, the missing videos are obvious if you look at the web site, or download videos.

I actually dislike the camera people and their questions. It’s just my personal opinion, but in the “behind the scenes” they sometimes seem rude, pushy and almost sadistic in their questions and demands. It seems that whenever the models try to catch a break, or try to find a moment to be alone, the cameraman pops in and surprises them to ask weird and creepy questions.

In the past there was one cameraman in particular who often made the models do weird things, followed by laughing at them (and I always got the sense it wasn’t laughing with them, more like at them). Often you can tell by the model’s demeanor that they’re uncomfortable, but they pretend to mask it by laughing or throwing out a joke. You can see this in the Aidan/Landon video’s BTS: they note how big the facial is, and Landon laughs along, and then goes off screen to vomit while the crew laughs on. The new woman intrudes on Aiden when he’s resting, and it just seems like she’s a creep to me, so I hope they discontinue working with her. The same thing with the BTS for Peter/Curtis. Again, it’s just my opinion, but small situations like this make me think that at SC, they don’t care much about the model other than whether they can perform.

When it comes to jokes, I find context and intent are very important. I am not sure if 5 minutes of BTS can establish either. So I leave it to those involved to eventually get offended and I don't do it for them. I do not like the idea of BTS anyway, not only it can be easily misinterpreted, but for me the models are there to perform, that's what they are paid for handsomely. I like the sc bts stuff. If it's the first time I'm watching a video, I typically watch the bts footage first and then watch the video. It gives just enough context to set the tone for the action. I don't much care for the one cameraman that asks them to do weird things. Mainelobster's assessment is accurate. The kidding around often is at the expense of the models. The bts stuff I like best are just sitting around with the models, letting the models comment, and maybe a few questions. For example, there's a short clip of one the guys talking about the blow job he's just received - that was interesting.

I don't have a problem with a woman cameraman at all. I have wondered if perhaps it was mr Pam as she moved back to the west coast this year. If so, she has gotten good press for good work, including working well with the models in gay porn.
