If you could read instead of oogling at the pictures like a silly school boy with a crush on innocence lost you'd see that the blog is relatively new. From the looks of it the blog appears to be run by someone (maybe his boyfriend?) else. On more than one occasion the blog was updated hours after the main website posted a new page. Whoever does write the blog is definitely a comic in the making.

O.K. How do you surf/search Tumblr? I go to the Tumblr home page, and they want me to sign up with my email, password, and URL. I don't HAVE a URL! (That I know of.) Tried signing up without a URL, and it won't "take"!

I don't want to create a blog, I just want to surf the ones that are there!

Any suggestions?

This, in my view is where Tumblr has major room for improvement >> Searching. Although, imho, Tumblr is lightyears ahead of LiveJournal and Wordpress, searching is still quite a chore, with precision/specific searching being next to damn near impossible.

I stopped tagging posts on my page because when I would go back and click on the search tags, it would always come back "no results found", even though there were multiple posts with the same categorical search tag. While the tags may work on other Tumblr pages, they won't work on mine for some odd reason.

The best advice I could give you insofar as blog-by-blog searching, is that a majority of tumblr pages (mine included) have a list - either out to one side, or at the bottom of the page - of other tumblr pages that particular blogger follows. You can click on one of the icon pics to pull up that separate Tumblr page, and look through it, but that's about all I know about searching.

@Kanimal it is easy to create a 'url'. It has to be of the form 'sexyguy.tumblr.com '
Mine being http://makeuhard2.tumblr.com/.
You can then see what is being loaded every minute and pick up some interesting sites to follow. You do not have to post anything on your site if you dont want to. However like most other sites you wish to join you have to give a valid e-mail address.
I agree with above poster that it is difficult to search for particular pics but using the followers of other posters soon gives you a source of the type of pic you are searching.
I try to update my site each day with something new which pleases me
