i wonder if they can introduce Oz characters into the story? though they aren't technically fairy tale like the others. what about the old woman who lived in a shoe or mother goose?

I thought Charming was Jack, from Jack and the Beanstalk and his story did not turn out how it was supposed to similar to Cinderella's fairy god mother getting blown to bits before she gets her happy ending. In the original story the stepmother and stepsisters pay the magic price. Dancing in hot shoes and getting eyes plucked out. Rumple's power's seem to force the magic price back on the deserving person asking to be saved instead of on their persecutor.

He lived with his mom on what appeared to be a farm and owed money to someone. Then he made a deal involving a trade that would make him/ his mom rich before he could ever make a trade for the beans.

I also have a guess that the frog prince may actually be Cinderella's Prince. I think the magic price he had to pay for using the blue fairy's spell was to turn him into a frog and perhaps he fell in the well (or he became the voice of a wishing well similar to Genie becoming the mirror) I don't think the spell would have transported him to Storybrook ahead of everyone else.

Well.....last nites episode was...""eehh"" :/ I don't know what has happened to Kathren, David's wife, but I am beginning to think that the reason their is a barrier/wolf/guard at the edge of the town is that.....if anyone leaves the town, for them, the curse is broken, and they will "remember". That is why the edge of town is "protected" by the curse.

I really doubt they will bring in talking bears and frogs. Good concept but this is modern time, so that will be too far-fetched.

She got me when was first talking to the Hatter. XD Then she made me believe she was believing again towards the end.

I don't think she brought him back just to use him in the spell. I think her father was the only person she legitimately cared for so that was why she was willing to go through all that trouble to get him back. I think the spell came much later on and if I remember right, her father was already there when she tried to use the horse to enact the spell (meaning that he was already there before she knew she had to make a sacrifice of the only person she actually cared for).

When does this season end? Also,...it will be interesting (due to the probably 6 month hiatus between shooting seasons) to watch this show deal with a child actor, that is going to keep growing beyond the storyline timeline.....

May 13th is the season finale. So what i got from Jefferson they been living in this town for 28 years?

Yes....Emma is 28. and as she said in a previous episode she was "found by the side of the road on a highway, and spent her life in foster homes". Snow White and Charming sent their daughter into the present world moments before they themselves were sent there by the Spell. They just both went to different places. AS Henry said, ...time never changed/moved until Emma came to town.
I am unclear when Regina adopted Henry. (Emma gave birth and gave him up for adoption 10 or 11 years ago.) If it was as a baby, shouldn't he ALSO not have grown or changed? I hope they clear this up before the season ends. That, and how he "knows"........

How come no one has talked about Rumpelstiltskin having the magic lantern from Aladdin ? Maybe that is a clue to where the show is headed next year

I wonder if we ever WILL see Mr. Gold's son...... Now we know WHY he helped Regina create/enact the Curse. He wanted to come here to find his son. More and more, he is looking like one of the Good Guys.......

Oh, good eye. I remember the donkey because of it looked a lot like the Donkey in Shrek. But then I remembered it's Disney, and ABC, and the one affiliated with Disney is Pixar, not DreamWorks. I realized this too late as I still rewind it to compare the resemblance. Though I do enjoy Pixar movies far more then DreamWorks.

i think he is Pinocchio and since he was magically turned into a boy in Fairyland-here where there is no magic he is turning back to wood. Still they could have more surprises in the last 3 episodes, i so want someone to finally beleive Henry.

Well, I think there are two more episodes left this season. Last nights episode was "o.k." (August's past). The show (storyline) seems to be all over the place. It looks like the producers are just throwing all their ideas together and seeing what sticks. Ehhh. I sure hope next season is a little more streamlined.

Yeah, that was a little too predictable, but it was still a good cliffhanger to lead into the finale.

Though I love this show, I really cannot see it stretching beyond two seasons. I think it will lose its uniqueness if it does do that. This show actually would have been better as a 10 part mini series (two hours each)......

The finale was okay to me. =\ Maybe I was expecting more. Even though it was bound to happen, Emma fighting the dragon was a bit silly. Others story were too, but they were fairy tales, so at least they made sense. It wasn't all bad, though. It did have it's moments. SO many hot men. The mad hatter, sheriff/huntsman, Charming.

I liked the season finale.....but felt it was a bit contrived. So, in a moment of stress, Emma grabs the storybook, and it is only NOW...THIS time, that she feels it's power, understands, and now finally believes. Also, how does whatshisface, the Mad Hatter, know about Belle being in the underground hospital room?
I'm thinking that this season, it was "Regina bad" "Mr. Gold good". But next season, Mr. Gold, having his power back as Rumpilstilskin will be the All Powerful force, that Emma and Regina will actually have to TEAM UP against, in order to save Storybrook, and the outside world.
