Lol really? Most of the tv I watch (and don't watch, but know enough about) portray the rich as corrupt, vile, shallow, and hateful people.

And I mean a vast majority of television shows at that.

But it seems like the idea of having a new family/new storyline/different setting unrelated to the house plot seems to be getting get more attention this past week or so. In a way it makes sense, because how much can this family really take, but again feel its a strong cast all the way around.

And how fucking mindblowing is Jessica Lange's acting on the show? I mean, seriously, most actors and actresses should take notes from her performance here...it is Oscar-worthy! Absolutely incredible! She got me feeling like I felt when I watched Charlize Theron in "Monster"...just in awe with the unbelievable quality of the acting! I can't compliment Jessica Lange enough...she's just...WOW!!!

I must confess. Since my previous post in this thread over a month ago after the premiere, this show has got me hooked. The offbeat characters and dark humor is very entertaining. The cast is perfection, the writing and acting are good. Even the opening credits is cool. The story is definitely a bit over the top, but that all plays into the style of this show. I'm glad I didn't dump this show and gave it a second chance.

I'm pissed off that HULU still doesn't have the rights to the show, so therefore it is not uploaded the next day like most shows. I have to wait until the day after the NEXT episode, to see the previous one! On Wed nite you are watching episode 6 and on Thursday morning I am watching episode 5!!! I do not have cable, and even though I have a streaming T.V. channel site on my computer, I cannot always be home to watch it.
I love this show, but i hope I do not get fed up and stop watching it because it this. I'm afraid one of these days there will be a HUGE event on the show, that will be spoiled for me before I get to see it.

I watched the show since the pilot. The pilot is very excellent and strong, not to mention unique since it dives into the notorious sensual horror genre. I also like the way the show deliver the creeps almost purely by psychological ways instead of gruesome scenes.

However, I feel the show's giving way too much stuff to digest in the episodes, sometimes leaving me confused as hell. Also, the ghost concept is unclear here. It's like they're complicating the story way too quick. They really need to slow down and take a breath.

As for the characters...unfortunately, I find none of them are likeable to me. Ben's acting like a sexual addict, Vivien's stupid enough to have sex with a complete stranger, Violet's...bland..., Constance is annoying as hell not to mention shameless, Tate's...well, he's disturbed, and the other two (Moira and Larry) are nothing but nuisances. But the actings are flawless, especially from Connie Britton and Jessica Lange. I just hope they don't get tangled like gLee and NIP/tuck.

I really love the show. Judging by how messed up (physically and emotionally) Constance's children are, Hugo must have some bad sperm. Which could fall into the demon baby plotline.

I fucking love this show. I just finished watching the Piggy, Piggy episode on Hulu, and scene where Constance was "talking" to Addie made me tear-up, it was so emotional and beautiful. Anyone who judged this show based only on the first episode and didn't stick with it, should be ashamed of themselves, this is a great show.

I think Taissa Farmiga (Violet) was stunning in the scenes where she learns who and what Tate is. Though her sobbing seemed to well up from the depths of her soul, she was willing and able to comfort Tate. Wow!

But I'm wondering, where is this story going....? Now that the daughter knows about the ghosts, and the mother knows something is up (saw Nora's photo). Are they going to fight FOR the house, and it's "good spirits" or do battle against it? I am SO waiting for Vivian to find out about her maid (being a spirit) and who did it to her. I'd love to see Viv confront Constance, and rip her a new one for it...lol

Each week Ryan Murphy does an interview with Entertainment Weekly that's posted right after the episode airs.

Right after the first episode he said he thought it would be obvious to everyone who the rubber man is.

So it has to be someone who appeared or was mentioned in the first episode.

The only male characters were Ben, Tate and Larry, but the doctor and the gay couple were mentioned.

(I'm eliminating the twin boys because of age and size)

That's why I said earlier it couldn't be Ben or Larry, and I think it would be unfair plotting, if it were Tate.

We know he isn't either one of the gay couple.

That only leaves the doctor.

Unless I'm missing something from the first episode.

And BTW, we do not know that the man Constance shot was her husband. He wasn't wearing a weding ring. He could have been her husband, but that was never stated, Never assume on a Murphy show.

He also wasn't in the first episode, so he can't be the rubber man.

Yeah, Tate's character isn't making a whole lot of sense to me. I mean, they decide that they aren't going to have a baby anymore, so Tate just figures that he will murder them both to get a new family in there. Couldn't he try haunting them to scare them away? I mean, they were going to end up losing the house to the bank anyway.

But then again, Tate is a psycho.

Oh and Hugo returned. They need to have him in more scenes. Did he have his pants on when Constance shot him? If not, I think that he should be doomed for eternity to walk around the house in his underwear.

I don't think we can call these plot holes right now. Who are we to say that we are experts with how ghosts are supposed to behave? Maybe they have complete control what they look like, like Moira apparently does as she looks young to men and old to women. Or perhaps some other force or stimulus chooses for them. Or maybe they are not even ghosts. Maybe something else is going on here; something more to the psychological component.
