How many of you remember bashful? What an intelligent, thoughtful, sweet & gorgeous young Jubber he was!! I received an email from him a year or so ago and he said he was fine but way too busy with life in the real world (i.e. his academic studies ... I think he said he was studying for his Masters or PhD or some such) to return to JUB. You have to watch carefully, but he shows up from time to time in the occasional thread. He rarely ever makes his own new threads now. In all honesty, I'm not surprised he's not here much anymore. He wasn't treated very nicely.

Croynan was a treasure around here...cultured, well learned and kind hearted.JUB is a lot poorer not having him around much these days, and hearing that he was not treated well by some posters here just angers me. Croynan was always a class act and hopefully he'll venture some more back in.

I just can't figure though who wouldn't like, or at least respect, Croynan. A good man whose posts were witty and thoughtful and whose threads were consistently compelling and enterttainingly presented...an educator by profession, he knew how to make learning new things fun!

I know you are being sarcastic, but I would say this about Knucklehead: he and I probably had little in common, politically, religiously or in lifestyle and for all I know, he may have hated me, but I believe there was a tender side to him that didn't come out as often as it could. He was a take-no-prisoners kind of guy. He was also genuine...what you saw is what you got with him. His opinions were his own and they often angered others, but so what? I'm more likely to trust someone like him than someone who kisses everyone's ass.

Sausy, I agree about Croynan. He is and was a JUB legend. I suspect there were those who didn't like him because he, too, expressed his own opinions, even if they were not the popular ones. Plus, he really cracked me up when he fought with the Professor from Toronto.
