I've never wrestled or even been to a match. However I found this thread very hot. Can anyone tell me as a wrestler if you see a guy coming at you with a hardon, is that more intimidating or not? I've heard all about that, which is dumb. Wrestling is one of the best sports in the Olympics and one of the few I can stand to watch for an extended period of time. If they're gonna get rid of anything it should be one of the lame sports like badminton or table tennis. I don't even consider those "sports" to be honest.

i doubt that it will have much, if any, effect. there are sports that kids crave, and wrestling is one of them. (football is a great example of this as well). high school and college kids will want to wrestle, even if there isn't opportunity to go to the over-rated and over-hyped olympics.

all that said, i think that the ioc will come to its senses and reinstate wrestling for 2020. but it will take an organized and concerted effort by wrestling coaches and many others to make the point.
