It's definitely one of her worst videos. She doesn't even have the excuse of being on tour at the time like she did for Get Together, Jump, Turn Up the Radio or any videos that are literally her live performances.

In addition to nothing actually happening, it's so full of unflattering close-ups of Madonna's face and gapped teeth. I think I'm going to have nightmares after seeing the demon face that appears at 1:50-1:51. D:

Madonna Fans Boo, Demand Refund For 45-Minute Paris Show

Concert intended to promote tolerance ends in shouts of 'refund!'

A Thursday night Madonna club show in Paris intended to promote tolerance ended with a round of boos and intolerance ... aimed at Madonna. What was billed as an intimate show at the City of Light's 2,700-capacity l'Olympia, streamed live on YouTube, turned into a public relations disaster when the 53-year-old singer left the stage after just 45 minutes.

The abrupt end to the show prompted cries of "refund!" from some and forced YouTube to disable comments on the stream early Friday morning after it garnered more than 12,000 dislikes, according to the Associated Press.

In addition to some asking for their money back after Madonna took the stage at 10:15 p.m. and departed around 11 p.m., a few angered fans shouted insults such as "salope" (the French word for "slut") at the star, who has been embroiled in controversy over the past week for her use of a Nazi swastika symbol on her current tour.

The worst part? The venue was packed with Madonna die-hards, since the tickets were made available only to members of her official fan club, before being released to the general public, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Many gathered outside the venue hours before, some sleeping on the street overnight in order to get a good spot. After the show, though, a number were back out on the avenue shouting "give us our money back!" in French.

An earlier invitation to followers to tweet about the special event ended up backfiring when some attendees used the #MDNAParis hashtag to complain. One angry fan who took to Twitter to vent, wrote in French, "280? for a seat + 10 minutes of a speech + 40 minutes of a show + 2 days of camping in front of the #Olympia = #Madonna #MDNA #Paris #thatsucks."

The concert was a last-minute addition to Madonna's schedule, tacked on shortly after France's far-right National Front party threatened to sue the singer over a video she showed during a Bastille Day (July 14) gig in Paris that featured an image of party leader Marine Le Pen with a swastika superimposed on her forehead.

"I know that I made a certain Marine Le Pen very angry with me," Madonna said during the l'Olympia show , which mixed her hits with covers by French singer Serge Gainsbourg and homages to such national icons as Alain Delon and Edith Piaf. "And it's not my intention to make enemies ... It's my intention to promote tolerance. And when we start saying that we have to get rid of this person or we have to get rid of that person, because then we'll have a better place, it starts to sound like something else, it starts to sound like something scary. So the next time you want to point the finger at somebody and blame them for a problem in your life, take that finger and point it back at you."

Madonna, who has made headlines on the tour for serially flashing her naughty bits
to her audience and for refusing to give up a section of the show in which she brandishes handguns and automatic rifles in the wake of the tragic theater shooting in Aurora, Colorado
, defended her use of the Nazi imagery
 before the Paris show.

"There seems to be a growing intolerance around the world. In Greece, France, everywhere, people are trying to kick out all the immigrants, make people cover up and not show what their religious affiliation is. Think about what's going on in Russia towards the gay community," Madonna said in an interview with a Brazilian TV station. "I'm calling attention to that intolerance and asking people to pay attention, to wake up to see how we are just creating more chaos in the world."

The latest flap comes less than a week after the surprise announcement
that the Australian leg of her MDNA tour would be scrapped without explanation.

Oh Elton. Did y'all see this? Although, I can't argue with the part I bolded - "Ray of Light" is brilliant.

Elton John Calls Madonna a 'Fairground Stripper,' Says 'Her Career Is Over'
In a recent interview, the singer calls Madonna's "MDNA" tour "a disaster" and that she has been "horrible" to Lady Gaga.

10:43 AM PDT 8/6/2012 by Philiana Ng
    The Hollywood Reporter

Elton John is at it again.

The singer made his opinions about former friend Madonna known in an interview with Australia's Channel 7 program Sunday Night, declaring that her career was "over."

“She’s such a nightmare. Her career is over, I can tell you that," John said. "Her tour is a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger c---." Madonna, who is in the middle of her MDNA world tour, was booed at a July 26 concert in Paris during which she performed for approximately 45 minutes.

John, who has been feuding with Madonna for years, went even further with his jabs -- going so far as criticizing her physical appearance.

"If Madonna had any common sense, she would have made a record like Ray of Light, stayed away from the dance stuff and just been a great pop singer and made great pop records, which she does brilliantly," said John, who praised Rihanna and Katy Perry.

"But no, she had to prove that she was like ...," he continued, not specifying. "And she looks like a f---ing fairground stripper."

John also said that Madonna, who called Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" "reductive" earlier this year in an ABC News interview, has "been so horrible to Gaga." Lady Gaga is godmother to one of John's sons.

This isn't the first time John has let his criticisms of Madonna known. Following this year's Golden Globes when Madonna won for best original song, John and partner David Furnish took to Facebook to slam the win. "Madonna winning Best Original Song truly shows how these awards have nothing to do with merit. Her acceptance speech was embarrassing in its narcissism," Furnish wrote at the time. He later backtracked on his statements.

Re: The Official MADONNA Discussion Thread!

Elton John is appalling. He espouses anti bullying but clearly bullies Madonna in the media. It's one thing to be mad/upset at someone but to use crass language makes Elton such a hypocrite.

On other news, I was just listening to Esperanza Spalding and in an interview she mentioned how she'd love to pattern her career after Madonna citing how despite her numerous reinventions, Madonna remains Madonna.

Steven Tyler also gave M props during his visit in Ellen.

    Madonna a true icon!

Oh Elton. You sad, pathetic, old, unattractive, bastard... does it really bother you this much that you are not "Queen of the Gays"? Go ahead, keep lashing out at Madonna for having a more avid fanbase than you, and for being prettier than you, for having more radio airplay than you, and for pulling off "the bitch" better than you. The only public attention you get anymore is for talking about musicians who still matter. But it's okay Elton, we'll always remember how good you were... in the 80's... when you still mattered.

LOL! The "bastard" just makes that sentence; it's the punctuation on it, the proverbial frosting on the cake.

Heh, when I think of highly successful/appealing/even innovative Elton John tracks, I don't think too many span beyond his 70s and 80s output. Was "The Circle of Life" the moment where he "jumped the shark"? Maybe do a quicky reworking of that Marilyn Monroe tribute track, crassly, into a Princess Diana one was also such a moment. I wonder if he had any charting singles in the last decade? Maybe I'm just not listening to those kind of radio stations or something.

However at least he did praise "Ray of Light". I appreciated that he appreciated it and "got" it, because I do think he's a phenomenal musical talent.

EJ just needs to go the fuck away and Madonna needs to retire, I think. If she keeps putting out shit like the last two albums, well...she's grasping at straws. I can forgive her for Hard Candy because I realize it was just fulfilling contractual obligations, but when you bring back Orbit into the mix and STILL make an album that flops like MDNA, there's a problem.

It's the third single. The last time a third Madonna single did ANYTHING in the US was What it Feels Like for a Girl, and the last one that was actually successful was Power of Goodbye. Girl Gone Wild crashed and burned so Turn Up the Radio was pretty much doomed from the start, especially with her being too busy out on tour to promote.

Turn Up the radio should have been the FIRST SINGLE!!!

I'm Addicted should have been the second single. The "Feels Like MDMA and that's Ok.. Feels like a drug and I can't get enough" would have have def impacted radio seeing how the rave scene is now seeping onto mainstream radio.

    It's not a big deal.

One, she wants to see Obama win this election and two, you could sense the satire or sarcasm in her voice when she said those words. She doesn't truly believe it. She's poking fun at the people who would have a problem with Obama if he was a Muslim.

I believe she was saying it more or less for the approval of having a Muslim in the White House. Almost a -- what's the big fucking deal, even if we did have a Muslim in the White House -- type of tone.

Madonna realized long ago that the way to deal with some people is not to compromise and back down, but to push even further.

People complain that Obama is a Muslim? It doesn't matter how many times you say "No, I'm not. Actually I go to church." Sometimes it's better to push back and say "So what if he was?"

Just Madonna saying he's a black gay socialist latino muslim european tax and spend educated health care liberal so she can be amused while she watches their heads explode over at Faux News. And the answer is, So What. Still the best candidate going.
Americans need to keep their guns so they can protect themselves from gun violence just like Nancy Lanza did. And like Chris Kyle did. And like Gabby Giffords did. And like Tom Clements did. And like Michael Piemonte. And Joseph Wilcox.
