    Triple G,
I've got an Oral B electric - was using the Oral B battery. Wegmans is like just under $30, BJ's was around $25x2 for a pair.

I checked out Wedmans on line. Wish we had them instead of Safeslay. Cloudy and dark today.

The breasts are way too large. They weigh over 2 pounds. Can't fry them due to their size.

I buy the thighs a lot.

All depends on the size of the original chicken- fryers vs. roasters.

    And, there are tenders.
Perdue has pre-packed in freezer packs in bulk available - can always cut the breast in 1/2 or 1/4 as the appetite allows.

There isn't really a shortage - a little lower count, but readily available.

They say the US will consume 1 BILLION wings tomorrow - works out to around 3 per person - man, woman, child in the US.

Bought 20 lbs of Foster Farms breasts last Tue at $1.99 a pound as that
was the best price I've seen in weeks. Thursday I bought 40 lbs at $0.99
at a different market...still Foster Farms only brand we buy...
Just like Best Foods/Hellmans is the only Mayo...
    Somehow they just taste right

Garage freezer is now full of tri-tips, other red meat, boneless pork ribs,
1 ham and lottsa chicken tits. NO WINGS.

Those breast split length wise fry well. But, we fry thighs and legs after
soaking them overnight in salt water.

    You like brining them, eh?
I don't brine, try to keep the sodium levels low - don't know what that'd do to our overall sodium intake, even though I'm told it makes the meat very juicy.

We use granulated garlic over the meat instead of salt to impart flavor, and forgo the brining.

    My mama brined,

    her mama brined and

    her mama did too,

    plus, many years ago

    a dear friend showed us

    how she (native Kentuckian)

    did fried chicken and the

    overnight was a big part.

    It doesn't taste salty but

    damn succulent and juicy.

Her gravies were to die for too.

have to cut the salt elsewhere...

    like no fast food joints.

ID:	927319 Lefty, you are a wise old pony. My wallet was right where I put it. Donned a clean pair of pants to go to Bible study last night and didn't take my wallet out of the old pair before I tossed them in the dirty clothes pile. Can't make up my mind if I am more senile or dumb. As the bard said, "All's Well That Ends Well".

You are neither. You have so much packed in that space between your ears that occasionally details (small stuff)
Leak Out...It is the blessing/curse of not dying young. We older occupants of the planet have so much real life
knowledge that the mundane stuff slips aside now and then.

now where the fuck did I leave my glasses and keys?
oh hell, where was I going?
    Why, its raining?

It could be bad for us. Hope we don't lose power, that would mean no heat.

This Nor'Easter is reminding me of the 29" of "Ocean Enhancement" Boston got hit with this time in '03.
I was there w/ my son and his forensic's team from HS for the Harvard Tournament - was cold, so the snow was super light and fluffy - all of the kids from South Florida were freezing their gonads off and swearing up a blue streak - we challenged them to a snow ball fight.

It was great - especially when all of their flights got cancelled.
We almost didn't get out, either, but Amtrak finally pulled out of the station a couple of T stops from MIT.

The only other Big Nor'Easter I lived through in New England was '62, I think.

At times like this I am happy to live in the land of rattle snakes, scorpions and wild bunnies.

    Good luck with the power.

I'm glad we don't have rattlers here. Yuck.
