The acting is great. It stars Emile Hursh and Tom Guiry.
It's basically about a young kid Duncan discovering his sexuality in a close minded hick town. He is very confused and he has a crush on another farm boy Perry who's a typical straight hillbilly guy. Duncan and Perry and complete opposites. Duncan is shy and awkward. Perry is confident and powerful. Duncan's mother recently dies and he starts behaving strangely and Perry's father is an alcholic and beats on him. Perry is very protective of Duncan.
One day Perry pees in front of Duncan and lets him watch. Then another day Duncan feels one of Perry's arms and it sets something off between them. There is some sexual tension that erupts in a pretty graphic scene.
It's a dark movie with a pretty crazy ending but overall I really liked this and I think a lot of gay or bi people can identify with it, especially if they had some issues coming to terms with their sexuality.
