Most of the actors who come out of the closet publically, are no big surprise or shocker. Was anyone really surprised about Ricky Martin? or Clay Aiken? or Sean Hayes for that matter? My guess would be that most of you would say no. However, once in a while there really is a surprise. The public was genuinely shocked back when they learned that Rock Hudson was gay. It's hard to think of a time now when people actually had no clue. But prior to 1985, he was THE VERY LAST GUY IN THE WHOLE FUCKING UNIVERSE that anyone would have thought was gay. He so contradicted the stereotype of a gay man that people started to think, "If a guy like Rock Hudson could be gay, than anyone could be gay." Personally, I think he is the reason that virtually every single actor to come down the pike since then is "rumored to be gay". So the question I am throwing out to all of you is this: Which actor or celeb really genuinely surprised you? Who really took you by surprise? You never saw it coming. And let's be CRYSTAL CLEAR about something. I am ONLY talking about those stars who were actually brave enough, and had the balls to come out and say "I'm gay." to the vast public at large. Mere "rumors" just don't cut it. Forget about pussies who say "No Comment" and "I don't talk about my private life." and all that. They're cowards. I don't mean them. Only those who are out to the public. I don't want to hear "stories" about this one or that one. They have to be Sir Ian McKellan out, not Matt Bomer "out". The only actor that I can think of off the top of my head that truly surprised me was Steve Antin. I had no idea. He always came off as so straight to me. He always seemed like the tough straight kids I went to school with and were so afraid of. Who surprised you?
