I don't really like "Cockiness", but "Where Have You Been" is amazing! Can't wait to hear that at the club. I also like "Roc Me Out" and "Drunk on Love". "We Found Love" is my favourite of the album and I'm excited to hear that "Birthday Cake" might get a full version because love that song too.
I do prefer LOUD as a whole compared to this, I just liked more songs off of that. But still got a lot of love for Rih.
This one's for EvilTwin...a.k.a: MY biggest fan. Y'all gotta give it up to him. He dedicates his signatures to ME, he quotes all of MY posts, he references ME in every thread he posts in and/or brings ME up. So much time & energy dedicated to ME. Oh, the obsession. I am honored that I am so deserving of all this ATTENTION, actually. Wow.
Rihanna, 'Talk That Talk' – First Listen

'You Da One'
From the hand of Dr Luke comes this smile-inducing potion of dancehall meets Scandinavian pop nous. It makes us think of Ace Of Base, with its bouncey early 90s vibe. “Yes, I’m falling hard but there’s nothing wrong with that,” Rihanna sings, sounding, for what feels like the first time in ages, light and happy. There is a Whitney Houston reference in the chorus too (“Your love is my love / my love is your love,”) which is no bad thing.

Rihanna‘s album Talk That Talk drops Nov. 21, but “You Da One” hit the web today, Nov. 11. RiRi posted the track on her Facebook and tweeted to her fans her appreciation for loving her music.
The song is a sweet love song. Lyrics read:
“You know how to give me that. You know how to pull me back. … I’m falling for you and there’s nothing wrong with that.”
She also quotes Whitney Houston singing, “You love is my love, my love is your love” Check out all the lyrics here.
Rihanna fans were also in for a treat on Thursday when the outlandish pop star posted snippets of her entire album online.
In addition to the new album dropping, she’s also commissioning fans to help her win an award. She wrote on her FB: “Rihanna Navy! Today’s the LAST day to vote for RiRi for this year’s American Music Awards! Vote here: http://abc.tv/Vote4RiAMA ”

It's okay but it doesn't sound like a #1 but a shout out to Whitney for using her 'my love is your love' line

A darkness keeps Rihanna's sparkle in check on Talk That Talk

At its best, the record delves into legitimate components of club music while retaining accessibility. Where Have You Been? showcases a fuzzy trance groove, complete with peaks and valleys. You Da One chugs along a dancehall/dubstep beat while paying lyrical tribute to Whitney Houston's My Love Is Your Love. Minute-long interlude Birthday Cake snakes through suggestive lyrics and a hypnotic beat (and should have been extended into a full song).

"Do Ya Thang" is such a funny song and was clearly written by a man. "I know that you eye-fuck other girls, but that's what I love about you... so do ya thang!" It's one of my new faves tho.![]()

Rihanna's 'You Da One' Video Comes Under Fire
Something about Rihanna's "You Da One" video looks familiar and one Norwegian photographer may agree.
In the video, released last week, Rihanna can be spotted gyrating around on the floor as the stripes and dot-shaped shadows dance on her flesh-colored body suit. As the Fashionista blog pointed out, the gorgeous creative direction in the video would seem nearly identical to the work of renowned fashion photographer Sølve Sundsbø.
Back in 2008 Sundsbø created these manipulated light and shadow skin creations in an editorial for Numero titled "Points a la Ligne." In the spread, model Edita Vilkeviciute poses nude with the light projections slithering on her body and rocking a remarkably similar bowl cut wig to the singer. Rihanna was certainly "inspired" by the editorial, but is her inspiration a bit too direct?
This is the third time the songstress has apparently cribbed from a famous photographer. Her titillating clip for "S&M" drew the ire of David LaChapelle, who received an "undisclosed sum" from the singer earlier this year for similarities in the video to his work. She also faced another lawsuit from photog Philipp Paulus over a scene in the video.
Neither Rihanna or Sundsbø have commented on the new allegations. It should be noted that the director behind "You Da One," Melina Matsoukas, also shot the "S&M" video, as well as the epic clip for Rihanna's "We Found Love."

Watch 'n Learn has a perfect dancehall groove to it that I cannot help but get down to real low and be reminded about how much I need to go to the chiro.
Also, I love Cockiness. "Bwoy I waaaaaant: Yooooooouuuuuuuuuuu."
^ Oh yeah--I've been jammin' to "Watch n' Learn" hard for the past couple of days.![]()

The highly anticipated full length version of "Birthday Cake" was posted by Rihanna via twitter today. (I take it there won't be an iTunes release?) I was sort of hoping all the rumors about Chris Brown being the "surprise guest" were false. I know it's been three years, I know the past is the past, etc, but hearing the two of them basically having sex on the song was the complete opposite of sexy due to him. I am not TeamBreezy at all, anyone else but him would have been fine. Nonetheless it's a club banger for sure, and I can replace that 1:18 track on my album.
I honestly did not care for the remix. I did not dislike it overall, but I was simply indifferent towards it. The transition into Chris Brown's verse was awkward and not really smooth. I did not feel like Chris Brown added anything to the track and I wish he had different lyrics (the first two bars) than what Rihanna had on the original.
The collaboration seemed forced, but it could be my interpretation of the vocals. It sounded like they were trying to be dirty and raunchy as opposed to being dirty and raunchy. Much like the S&M remix, the original is enough for me, although S&M was already a full track and Birthday Cake is just a snippet.
I love hearing an full version of the song now (it's my favorite on the album), but something does seem "off" about it. I wish it was just Rihanna.
UNF wouldve loved Birthday Sex with her, shes so sexy.
So when I first started listening to the song, I was skeptical because I heard it wasn't going to be CB. But as soon I as heard his voice and the rest of the song, I loved it as well as Turn UP the Music remix as well. And "sweeter than a rice cake" pow pow Rihanna fired shots at his girlfriend.
This thread is dead.Lemme revive it!
"Battleship" bomb may hit studio's profits: analystsBattleship bomb may hit studio's profits: analysts | Reuters(Reuters) - "Battleship," Universal Picture's big budget science fiction film, is likely to dent the studio's profits after it opened with lower than forecast ticket sales, according to analysts.
The film, which Comcast unit Universal has said cost $209 million to produce, generated $23.4 million in ticket sales at theaters in the U.S. and Canada during its opening weekend, according to figures compiled by Hollywood.com.
It had been projected by tracking services used by Hollywood studios to have ticket sales of between $35 million and $40 million.
The movie, which stars Liam Neeson and the singer Rihanna, finished the weekend second to Walt Disney's superhero blockbuster "The Avengers," which led the box office for the third weekend with $55.1 million in ticket sales.
"It is not quite the epic disaster of 'John Carter,' but this will put a dent in Comcast's quarter," said Matthew Harrigan of Wunderlich Securities, who follows Comcast. He did not quantify how much he expected the film to lose.
So, Rihanna is performing on Thursday at the MTV Video Music Awards. I've yet to read what she is performing but I'm hoping for an over-the-top full performance of "Birthday Cake" [remix] ft. Chris Brown. Please make it happen Rih-Rih!
Rihanna Vs Daft Punk - We Make Love [Carlos Serrano Remix]
Rihanna has yet another album coming out (Unapologetic...scheduled for November release)?
Damn...they won't let one album cool off before releasing another...![]()
New single,"Diamonds"
It's not doing much for me right now, but like a lot of her music--it may grow on me.

This last album is lazy and uncreative. A karaoke version sample of Bandz A Make Her Dance? Dubstep version of Pony? She needs to take a break because the well is incredibly dry.
