Yes, it was obvious WW was rushed. I believe it was the iron boots that are just sitting on an island with no dungeon or difficulty in obtaining them outside of the 'must be this far and have this item'. Even in OoT, there was mini dungeon to obtain them.

Yeah, my understanding is the scene where you get Nayru's Pearl from Jabun the water spirit, at the back of Outset, was originally supposed to be a dungeon.

And a lot of people didn't like the endless sailing component, though personally, I kinda found it relaxing, and so perhaps they'll shorten that aspect, later transport cyclones notwithstanding.

^If it's gonna be an essential rehash with no new content, I'll pass on it like the OoT remake for 3DS. Even Square-Enix added extra content to the GBA ports of FFs I, II, IV-VI.

At least for the sailing portion, the only shitty part about that is the Triforce hunting. It's essentially a cop out for a lack of content. I enjoyed sailing much more in phantom hourglass.

I've not replaced it but may at some point.

Sure, we bought the original game for the Cube when it came out, but Ariel and I have both decided that the HD, tweaked remake of Wind Waker for the Wii-U is a definite buy.

By tweaked, I wonder if they'll insert the dungeon they excluded last time?

Several sources have said that WW was supposed to have 2 more dungeons, but Nintendo wanted the game out RIGHT NOW, so they got scrapped and replaced with the Triforce fetch quest filler. If Nintendo is smart, they'll have those 2 dungeons in the remake instead of the fetch quest. That would seriously get me to consider getting a WiiU.

I tried to replay this game once before and I just found it painfully boring and easy. Funnily enough, I have tried to replay Minish Cap quite a few times and I get to the second area and just give up due to the stupid amount of backtracking at that point. Probably the same reason I couldn't stand Spirit Tracks.

Agreed. Minish Cap would have been a lot better if there wasn't so much backtracking involved. Spirit Tracks was OK, but whoever decided to put in the pan flute mini-game required to open the dungeons should be repeatedly stabbed in the crotch with a rusty bread knife.

It has always puzzled me why Capcom produced realistic themed games like RE.
For me (personally) their style is more stylized, cute and unique like megaman, streetfighter.

Kinda like their signature game. Like Whenever I heard Nintedno, I always think about Pokemon. Konami, Suikdoen ( don't know a lot of games by Konami) Square Enix, FF for Capcom Megaman. RE won't be the first game I would think Of when I see the word Capcom.

Playing Darksiders II lately - I like it, but it feels like they're trying too hard to change the formula by having monsters drop loot and equipment with adjustable stats. Thankfully, the God Of War meets Zelda game-play is still there, so I don't have a problem with it. There's not as much disparity been Darksiders I and Darksiders II as much as there was been The Legend Of Zelda and The Adventure Of Link.

Speaking of Zelda, I finally got my copy of Hyrule Historia from Amazon last week. I WANT THE BOOK INSIDE ME!

I see a fan of RPG games here Have you ever play Parasite Eve? Has anybody here ever played Parasite Eve? Best RPG ever in my mind. Loved how Final Fantasy it felt with the parasite monsters and yet it took place in modern New York. Definitely something Square Enix doesnt do much anymore is stuff like Parasite Eve, 3rd birthday wasnt holding a flame to the first two at all .

This is one of those games that sold well but was completely mediocre. The music is amazing but PE isn't a music game. Reckon people ate it up because back then, horror/survival games were actually good unlike now where they are gory FPS.

exactly what was 'mediocre' about this game? True, it did follow closely with the style of the FF games but the battles were more active time and less turn based. True the battles was kinda clunky with Aya's movement but that was more or less necessary to keep it challenging. It tried to work with the story premise by utilizing Aya's mito-powers during game play and the enemies were pretty interesting considering they're mutations of regular animals and bacterium. It was unique in the Square Soft line up. Yea, this game shows its age, but what do you think made it sub-par?

Hmmm...where to start. I used to LOVE RPG's...of the Final Fantasy variety. But also Crono Trigger, Secret of Evermore, and just about anything from Square. Oh, and Parasite Eve too.

These days I'm more about racing games. Don't have the patient nor the time to really settle in for a role-playing game.

I beat PE 1 once recently, the ultimate being was one tough mother fucker. Had to wail on him with rockets in his third form and then finish him off with a liberation attack. The part that had me freaking out was the chase throughout the ship with what was left of him chasing you. You couldn't save and the music wasn't helping lol. Im going for the second playthrough now and damn its hard lol. Just beat the v.2 earthworms and v.2 Eve on the carriage ride. In PE 2 i couldnt figure out that damn stone puzzle in the neo ark section. Same here, havent finished PE 3.

Yeah huge RPG fan here. FF is my heaven haha. Have heard of it but haven't tried it. I think I should give it atry since you recommended it I think Square is really occupied by the FF franchise these days. They have to service their hardcore fans haha. I like their Grandia series and sadly it stopped at Grandia 3 and that game is like in 2005.

And still haven't beat that stupid hoe Elizabeth. She ko'd me when did 6k damage to her. (she had 20k hp) I think I should start a thread about hard boss to beat in games haha.

I would like to get one in the future but by that time Nintendo will most likely pull out a shit load of features from the 2nd or 3rd generation of consoles put out for cheaper prices. Might even remove Wii support which defeats the purpose of even buying one. They did it with GameCube support on the Wii so why not with Wii U.

I’m a huge PS3 fanboy, and I have to admit the PS4 reveal was a huge letdown.

They didn’t show the system, didn’t set a price point, didn’t give a release date other than a vague “Holiday 2013”, didn’t explain how backwards compatibility via streaming will work, didn’t show any killer launch titles or IPs aside from Infamous:Second Son (considering inFamous is a Sony property, a sequel was no surprise anyway), didn’t address the used games lockout issue, and mostly focused on the “social media” bullshit. If I want to deal with social media, i’ll go on fucking Facebook.

Don’t build up hype for two weeks unless you’re going to bring out the big guns, Sony. This was like promising a 12 hour fuck-a-thon and delivering a half-assed handjob.

I get it, they want to reveal the system at E3, but then why do this shit? Killzone didn't even look next gen. I'm hoping to God all of the titles will get a graphics boost in the coming months because Crysis 3 looked more advanced.

I was watching the entire thing on YouTube just waiting for the actual console to be announced.

But what I'm confused on is how it's innovative? I'm Team PS all the way. PS3 > 360 > Wii (imo). But nothing stood out to me.

Wii was innovative when it first came out. It has since simmered down.

However, they didn't follow up well, it seems. Nintendo pulled a Christina Aguilera with their latest releases: flops.

I'm just waiting on Apple to blow these peeps out of the water and come out with something on their own. Think of it, wireless console which you may use your iPhone or iPod Touch as the controller. Pow.
