Wahooo...I finally beat her!! Die Shadow Queen die!!!
Final boss in Paper Mario Thousand Year Door.
I got lots of new games recently. I got Monopoly (PS3) for christmas and I had fun with that. I got my ass kicked so hard though. I was the first to go bankrupt.
I got the family, Family Game Night and we've all been enjoying that. Yahtzee and Sorry are fun. Sorry Sliders was a little annoying but it's been getting better.
Bomberman Live Battlefest is extremely fun. I love the new bombs. Rocket bombs, laser bombs, and cluster bombs add new strategies to the mix. The doubler is cool too. I love the avatar support makes it much more fun.
I played the LBP2 demo and it kicks ass. I can't wait until it comes out. I need to pre-order the collectors edition soon. The robo animals level was amazing. The hamster and the dog kick ass. I recently beat LBP1 too. The ending was kinda weak though. Now I need to get the PSP version.
I've been trying to get the DC Universe Beta to work but the update is taking forever . I also got Sonic Adventure from the PSN network recently and it's amazing. I don't like the wii much anymore and SA was half off. It was such a great game and I'm so glad I can play it again.
Sonic Episode 4 is on sale til january 4th so I'm deciding if I should get that or not. And on the really really old games side I got Crash Bandicoot and have been playing that on my PSP non stop. I got stuck on the damn Nuclear Reactor one though. All those barrels and the bouncing barrels. I actually got to the end and died stupidly.
I'll check out the Dead Space 2 and Mass Effect 2 demo soon.
It's been gaming heaven over here lately. Oh and I got Storm 2 and Super Street Fighter half off on Amazon the other day. That should be coming soon. I am going to look into Blazblue soon. I heard that's a pretty good fighting game.
can I still call myself a gamer if I play WoW and maplestory.
I like MMORPGs=D
I received a few games for Christmas:
Epic Mickey; I played the first few levels & I am enjoying it.
Kirby's Epic Yarn; on the 3rd world/level, also enjoying.
Super Mario Galaxy 2; 'nuff said.
A Boy & His Blob; haven't started yet, but I have heard rave reviews about it.
Professor Layton & the Unwound Future; I love this entire series!
It was nice that in the first one the emphasize was more on "Create, Share, Play" thing and the story was really there to play some levels and get some tools to use.
To be fair I think the demo was just to display some of the new stuff. Like the grappling hook, the multiplayer battle thing, and the animals. They did not really show off any new platforming or give you an idea of how it's different from LBP 1 other than the new stuff. I wish I got in on the beta when they did that. I think it will be a great game. Even if you or others aren't real crazy about story mode or some of the new features or gimmicks. There will be some fun created levels to play shortly after the game comes out.
I'm going to get my pre-order in soon.
I'm waiting to get Epic Mickey. Have to beat Donkey Kong Country first!
Just got Dragon age origins! WOOT
I've been trudging through the new WoW expansion and how flawed it is.
Besides that, I have been playing DKC returns and it is surprisingly a tough game. Nintendo tooted that NSMB was tough but it was pretty easy till the last hidden world. This game can be downright relentless platforming, especially the hidden levels where one wrong jump is instant death. It reminds of the 80s platformers a lot without the cheapshots.
I beat Fable 3 right before xmas also (especially when playing WoW simultaneously, the quest grind genre really wears you out) and kind of deciding what I want to play next.
Recently got Dead Rising 2, and boy is it hilarious. Killing zombies in just boxers or some other ridiculous combination of clothing. It's quite entertaining.
Yeah I found the info about the DA2 s\ame sex relationships here
They think that this guy might be one of the gay options:
An elf again (aren't they gayest of all mythical races though? lol), but better than Zevran by far. He looks like the dark brooding type, but don't worry, I can save him!
Workin on some old games I've never bothered to beat. Right now This is what I've got on the go:
Lunar Silver Star Story Complete- PS1
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion- PS3
God of War 2- PS3 (I know. Serious catching up to do lol.)
Didn't know this thread existed, so forgive if I'm to late to the party....
But the types of games I enjoy are RTS, Rpg's, and hack'n'slashers. I'm currently playing Sengoku basara: Samurai heroes and looking to get Transformers: War for Cybertron on the PS3. Among other things.
I'm currently playing Final Fantasy 13 and trying to get all the trophies. I've never liked FF before but this game I love! I'm also playing a bunch of others... Donkey Kong Country Returns, Infamous, Batman Arkham Asylum, Call of duty... there's a lot!
Playing Donkey Kong Country Returns and Epic Mickey...liking Epic Mickey more.
On a non-gay note, Carver looks pretty damn awesome. It's a good thing I usually play mage, Bethany can die for all I care. :P
And on a side note, nearing completion on Golden Sun Dark Dawn. Game is disappointingly a tad bit easy. But still a good game nontheless, even if the dialogue is a drag and the story a bit lame.
Of course FF13 had the opposite problem, great storyline (IMO) but mediocre gameplay.
I'm on disc 3 of Lost Odyssey right now, and I'm lovin' it.
An ALERT for Gaymers playing Lost Odyssey:
After sailing through 3 discs of the game smoothly, I started encountering disc read errors on disc 4. I had noticed that the loading times were longer, but didn't think much of it until I was near the end of a really long segment when my unit froze up tighter than a bull's ass in fly season.
After shutting down manually, I tried installing the disc, but at about the 40% mark, I got a disc read error.
Cleaning the disc hand no effect. A little research led to the discovery that this is a frequent occurrence, cased by a residue on the disc from the separate paper sleeve the 4th disc is shipped in. The fix is rather bizzare, and I never would have thought of it:
I heated up a pot of water until it was boiling then removed it from the element. Using tongs I grabbed the disc from each side and dunked it in for 10 seconds, twice, making sure not to touch the sides or bottom of the pot (which can warp the disc apparently). I took it out and wiped it down with a tissue, wiping from the center to the outside (not in a circular motion).
There was no residue to wipe off which I have seen mentioned on other forums. In fact, it looked exactly the same as it did before. Anyway, I noticed the difference as soon as I popped the disc in. It sounded normal while spinning (before it was really quiet) and load times are the same as the other discs. And the main point - no disc read errors! Have played about 20 mins and it is loading perfectly.
Finally I have thrown out the cursed paper sleeve. The fourth disc can *just* fit on the same peg as the other three discs. Hope this helps anyone else with the same problem.
I'm playing Epic Mickey...wow is all I can say right now.
Has everyone seen the new images from the next Tomb Raider game? It's looking pretty awesome!
There's a couple more details here as well...
It's interesting they're rebooting the character. It sounds fasinating but quite risky for a medium dominated mostly by straight men. I can't wait though!
I've been playing the games I've gotten for Christmas mostly, but I just bought the 3rd Professor Layton DS game. I've been puzzling over it for a week now.
And yes, I do love bad puns.
still hooked on City of Villains (surprise - been playing on Virtue Server since game came out) but the Incarnate system of post lvl 50 content has finally given me a reason to play my 50s more.
I'm head of the VG The Obsidian Oath on virtue - global is Pool Boy. Hit me up in game sometime.
Also loved Dragon Age - but was disappointed that the expansion Awakenings wasn't half as gay friendly as Origins. Has anyone heard if they'll be including the same type of adult content in Dragon Age II? Any commitment to LGBT inclusion they made with origins is called into question by hiring homophobic sci-fi writer Orson Scott Card to write the comics book adaption of the game.
Been playing a lot of Mario Party lately....the older games are in many ways more enjoyable than the recent ones.
I just found all my old computer games so I've been playing Battle for Middle Earth and Age of Mythology, good times
I'm sucha fan for any fps, espionage, stealth games and good gore detail but what i really love, is games like Hitman (the whole game series), Deus Ex (whole series incl. TNM mod), Fallout 3 and NV, Splinter cell(s), Alpha Protocol etc...
games where you can interact with the world and where your choices have an effect on the upcoming stuff, those games are real gems and those are the ones i'd like to see more.
I'm über excited about LA. Noir and Deus Ex 3. Any Hitman 5 news would be also positive. I don't exactly know what's the probem over at IO but they REALLY should pick up the pace, it's not that hard really.
I know BFME is kinda addictive, I came home from work last night and that's all I did from like 10:30 to almost 2:30...AOM was fun when it first came out but now its lost its charm. I never did get into Zeus, I tried it at a friends house and I thought it was kinda boring.
Other than that I've got a guys night coming up so that means two days straight of L4D2 on expert mode should be a lot of fun this time were going to play L4D then transition.
I'm expecting to hear full reviews from all those who run out to get DC Universe Online tomorrow...
