This whole season has been like the first half usually is. It's like a buildup to, well, nothing.

I still think the final season is going to be great. Perhaps this one has been slow because it's like the first half of the final chapter.

Last episode: I think Deb staged her own accident so she could make Dexter believe Hannah was behind it

I'm assuming next season in the beginning there will be more investigation, leading to his secret being revealed.

Second half he's on the run until captured or possibly killed.

This season is the calm before the storm.

This thread seems a bit inactive except for you. I think that Dexter will be killed one in some way. I don't see how else they could end it other than him being killed off some how. I'm curious as to how Deb and Dexter staged the death of the two at the end since they went to the party afterwards.

The only way I see dexter ending is Dexter being killed off. Maybe by Deb, but the true ending of the show would be years later when Harrison ( Dexter's son) starts showing the signs that he will become a killer as well. Deb of course will become the "THE NEW HARRY"
teaching him her verison of " THE CODE". Thus the cycle of death continues from father to son and the cycle of mentor will continue from father to daughter!

Having watched this series and read the books....

I wish they hadn't killed Brian off. It would be intresting to see how the dynamic would have gone,espescially now that Debra has crossed the line of no return herself.

With each season they go further and further away from the books.

So at this point I wouldn't worry about the book having spoilers. I'm sure the ending (for Dexter) will be different on the show.

About the only things that stayed the same were Doakes being the only one to see right through Dexter and Debra learning her brother's secret,albeit much earlier then in the series. Everything else pretty much changed.

Honestly I think the idea of him being n run sounds exciting but there wouldn't be much room with everyone knowing his secret story wise. And killing him would be such a let down. I think he is going to get away with his secret but someone very very close to him is going to die

Well most shows follow the book the first season and move into different direction creatively. I've read the books and I like the way the series has developed because the books get a bit far fetched

Haha this reminded me of badass Sylar (Zachary) in Heroes. I just think he is so much cooler and appealing as a bad guy. Could be just me.

I was hoping the new Hannibal tv show would keep me warm until but the premier was kinda boring, let's see. Well at least I have Bates Motel.
