• Brit brought Nicki on Femme Fatale tour after Enrique Iglesias backed out
• Britney's most immediate single since "Toxic." "I Wanna Go" pops pretty well, too
Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!
Yeah... the idea of Britney being a judge is just a fail rumor. Guest judge, maybe, but not a permeant one.
I like this previously unreleased vid, didn't know there was so much actual dancing and she was killing it effortlessly. "Sometimes" is probably one of her more underrated songs/videos. For me it's one of her better looks and her vocal performance is one of my favorites.
Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!
I'm amazed they're actually considering her for X Factor, yes she's a superstar but a judge of a singing competition? And a mentor?? Really? For the amount of live singing Britney does when she’s onstage, she’s more suited to be a judge on Rupaul’s Drag Race and not any real singing competition. “It’s time to lipsynch for your lives y’all!”

I keep reading this comment and it doesn't make sense.
You're judging her singing, can you sing?
How is that different than what she's going to do?
J.lo, Paula Abdul, Simon, LA reid, They can't sing
But wait when it's Britney everyone suddenly wants fairness.

Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!
There seems to be conflicting reports, now it's being said she rejected the offer because she wanted $20 million to become a judge. We shall see...
MTV News posted their pros & cons list that I agreed with for the most part, particularly this one. I just can't imagine her being an effective judge when she hasn't spoken in a free forum in years.
Con: She's become nervous on camera
Though she can still wow a crowd live in concert, as evidenced by last year's successful tour behind her hit album Femme Fatale, Spears has become increasingly tentative during interviews. She rarely grants on-camera sit-downs, and when she does, she seems nervous and uncomfortable.
To be a strong judge or mentor on a reality show, you have to be very comfortable on camera. Part of what made Jennifer Lopez click last season on "Idol" was that she came across as confident, direct and often empathetic. She even broke down in tears after sending home contestant Chris Medina, whose fiancée suffered a severe brain injury in a car accident. The key word here is after. It's hard to imagine Spears being able to keep it together and deliver such difficult news in similar circumstances. It's worth noting that a high-drama situation arose on the first season of "The X Factor" -- one that left contestant Rachel Crow sobbing onstage and Scherzinger a wreck ... a wreck who received death threats. Producers should also consider whether it's wise to send Spears, who has dealt with emotional issues in the past, into a genre that thrives when the emotional stakes are high.
Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!
Femme Fatale is without a doubt my favorite Britney album, I don't recall ever listening to one of her albums for a year str8 before and her album has not left my car since. FF >>> BO.
Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!
^I respect that.
I think one of the main reasons I'm so blah about Blackout is because it sounds like the distant cousin of FutureSex/Love Sounds and Loose. Some of my all time favorite Brit-jams are on that CD ("Gimme More," "Break the Ice," "Get Naked," "Toy Solider"). However, for me, it's a bit overrated when it comes to it's legacy and impact. It was a compelling album that quickly lost it's luster for me.
Bloodshy & Avant have great chemistry with Britney, on every album their contributions are usually the standout tracks. "Unusual You" not being released was a major no-no, one of my favorites too.

I barely understand the JT/ Nelly Furtado thing, but let's be honest Blackout was better, there's nothing on those albums close to "Heaven On Earth", "Piece of Me", "Radar", "Toy Soldier" let alone "Freakshow".
Blackout falls into another category, Body Talk and Blackout are the best Electronic dance pop albums I've heard.
And it's true she should make an album with Bloodshy and Avant in charge, together they've made the best pop music.

I just read on ONTD that Rihanna is now in negotiations and Britney is out. The plot thickens...

I respectfully disagree.
All three albums were largely produced by Danja, hence the comparison, and have a pop-funk-electronica sound to them. So Blackout really wasn't the first was my main point. I give the album kudos for being her first real dance record tho. (I haven't heard Body Talk so I can't speak on that at all.) "Heaven on Earth" & "Radar" are quite possibily my two least favorite Brit songs... ever. Ranking alongside "Mmm Papi" and "Boys and Girls" as my all time least favorites.
Re: The Official BRITNEY SPEARS Discussion Thread!
It's official.
We are here for a Bloodshy & Avant (And Magnus) produced album. I don't know, but I have a feeling Magnus was really the one behind the trance influences in "Trip to You Heart".

Now, we just have to get rid of Dr. Luke
I'm ready!
Oh and "Trip to Your Heart >>> "Heaven on Earth." All day, every day.
