Embedding YT videos

I made a thread with a YouTube video. I embedded it, but it doesn't show up. Can anyone explain why? Maybe i'm doing it wrong?

I copy pasted the youtube link into this box, and clicked the "wrap youtube" button, so both the tags were at the ends of the link so ex. YT link YT .

You can remove everything from the ampersand "&" onwards so you just leave

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQr1tByUvmc

The system is set to auto-embed videos, so,

If you've created a new message, you can unembed a vid by checking the additional options

But as we can see with the vid you posted, it still is not posting the video. What is wrong with the code, out of curiosity? We never had any problems with posting YT vids until now.

You may still post the video using the youtube tag on JUB. Remove everything before before and including the equals sign, thus:

nQr1tByUvmc

Then surround with the youtube tag as follows.

[ youtube ]nQr1tByUvmc[ /youtube ]

(there should be no spaces within the youtube tags)

Is it just me? I am using Mozilla, and it sill is not showing the video. Do you actually see the video on your end? All it is showing is the YT bar at the top and simply a grey box where the vid is supposed to be.

Your instructions are the way I have always posted vids and never had a problem doing so, however the only thing showing now is a grey box for all posted YT vids on the site.

I just tried viewing JUB on IE and the videos are showing. They are not showing with Firefox, however. Very strange.

Wierd, they're showing for me in Mozilla Firefox v.3.6.8

I had a problem with FF a few weeks ago, removed it and then reinstalled it, and it's been fine.

the videos are showing fine here in FF as well.

try to empty your cache and if that doesn't help re-install the flash plugin.

Also I learned today that your video may imbed and look fine when you post it but then when you actually click it it says "embedding disabled by request"

So might be a good idea to test your video before the edit time elapses. People can still go to youtube to watch it but it's an extra step...try to find an alternate version that isn't embed disabled I guess....
