I just recently got into this band and in my opinion they are great theyre three singles that have been released, "Lightning," "Warzone," and "Glad You Came" have all reached the top 3 in the UK.

In my opinion the hotness goes from Jay, Siva, Tom, Max, and finally Nathan. Going off what I've seen Nathan acts too emo and Max for some reason just is model-isc for me. Jay on the other hand has that sporty look and the hot curly hair

Huh? The only two "metrosexuals" are Max and Siva. The rest are very "real," or rather ordinary-looking. And they were former from casting through a open call for a boyband.

Nathan and Jay are definitely the most average-looking, especially Jay. He just looks homely and ordinary. I don't think Siva is ordinary at all.

Whoever sings the "you cast a spell on me" around the 0:35 second mark I think is insanely cute. I like his voice too.

Love this song by the way. I never take it seriously because I have a dirty mind, but the song is insanely catchy. This song alone is better than anything JLS has done IMO. Don't know about One Direction, don't pay much attention to them.

JLS has guys with better bodies though. I'm sure that definitely goes into their sales...

Most of the guys other than Max and Siva are actually rather average looking; but something about their swag really does it for me. I get a hard on every time I watch the "Glad You Came" music video. So hot... You can bet the shirtless beach scenes are at least partly responsible for their new found success in the States. Too bad all their other songs are horrible.

Max is totally gorgeous and, to be fair, they are doing well for themselves.

I've got a mate who took his daughters to their concert recently and he wasn't bothered about them but came back saying they put on a god show and sang well.

I wish them well because I also don't think they take themselves too seriously. I'd rather have boyband music than all hte r n b crap that is in the charts these days.

Just peeped an interview with the guys. They have great personalities, also think they're all pretty good-looking guys. I like that each one of them has their own 'look' independent. They don't look like a pre-packaged boy band. They look like a group of friends, they seem natural, which is very appealing when it comes to pop artists.

I find those three more appealing personally. Max has the smoldering look, Siva the model-esque look. For me neither of them have the same appeal as the other three boys. Tom, Nathan and Jay have a tangible quality that isn't as cookie cutter or obvious as their two bandmates. I find that quite charming and refreshing. They just look like a normal cute bunch of guys, they're not drop-dead or superstars. I've always prefered a regular looking guy, or as you said 'homely'. lol

It's hard for me to say whether the One Direction boys or the Wanted boys are hotter. I'm inclined to choose the Wanted boys are, just because they're a little bit older. I could go to a club and grind the night away with the Wanted boys. I feel like my night with the guys from One Direction would consist of reading a bedtime story and a glass of milk.

Although, as 'EuroStud' pointed out on the One Direction thread, Liam is becoming a little stud. And Liam is almost hot enough for me choose One Direction over the Wanted. I really like him a lot. It's been fun to see him grow from where he started in the X-Factor competition.

Musically, I think One Direction has the advantage. They seem to be more musically sophisticated. Their music fuses 60s pop, 90s pop, 70s glam, and modern dance into their own brand of boy band pop. The Wanted's sound is more of the moment, obvious clubby pop without the charisma or personailty of One Direction's music. More disposable, but great fun at the moment. One Direction may have some dodgy material, but at least there is the effort and possibilty to grow into something greater. Still enjoy the Wanted's songs.
