The Campaign. I enjoyed it. Don't think that I would want to see it a second time, but it was enjoyable for one evening.

A poisoned truffle and a great troupe of villainy, Vanity Fair (1998) the BBC miniseries.

Apparently, Thackeray saw the world for what it is and this production pulls no punches.

The Bourne Legacy - It was decent. The story wasn't all that great and some parts felt like they were longer than they really needed to be. Felt like they could have condensed some of the scenes or even took out some of the smaller scenes that weren't even significant. Definitely my least favorite installment into the series.

Initial D: Third Stage - This movie is a continuation of the anime series. It was really, really good. The animation and races looked a lot better.

21 Jump Street. I wasn't that amused. It just seemed like an attempt to reboot the cheesy Policy Academy movies and disguise it under a title of a 90's tv show. The script could have been written by any high schooler. Not even Tatum's hot bod was enough to distract me from the laughless comedy.

I was wondering about this one. I noticed there were no advance reviews and it's showing in the shittiest theater in Nashville. LOL

The advanced reviews must've come in and they burned them. Hahaha. It's literally getting a 0% on RT. Deservedly so.

Battle Royale. Before that I saw Hunger Games I have to say I enjoyed BR more mainly because of the fighting video in the beginning. The woman was explaining that the students in the class will kill each other until only one remains...and she was all bubbly explaining this -.- I guess whether it's live action, anime, or a video game, the Japanese have to include some comic relief.

^How was it? I know it's not filmed like the first two film but I did read some where that it's a pretty fun gory movie.

I've been watching so many bad/good movies with my younger brothers that it would be too long to list, so I will just list the legitimate good movies that I have watched lately.

    Bronson
Dude was absolutely insane, enjoyed the movie. Tom Hardy looked good, but I found myself hardly enjoying what I saw because of the character itself.

    The Devils Double
Man, did they make you absolutely fucking loathe Uday Hussein in this movie. So many messed up things happened in this movie.

    Ronin
I've been craving some good car chase scenes in movies and my brother told me this had a few, definitely did. Oddly enough it is one of those movies you'd think you you hear about more often with Robert De niro in it and how good it was. Good action, good plot and a pretty cool set of characters as well.

It was entertaining. Not as creepy as the first two due to some humor (which was pretty funny) but still very gory. It's worth a watch. Some of the movie is hand-held but then switches to "regular" cinematograpy. Lots of good-looking Spanish dudes.

I guess this weekend was a sort of Ben Stiller movie thing. We watched "Little Fockers", it was funny though predictable. We were expecting it so no big deal, the characters are so likeable that you just can't say anything bad about them.

We also watched "Tower Heist", we were pleasantly surprised at how good this movie really was! Funny, good plot, suspenseful and very well developed. And, Tea Leoni was in it too, looking as fabulous as ever. There you go!

Sounds like a fun enough watch.

    ---

    Wing Chun

Movie was a lot of fun, it's based on Wing Chun, but the martial arts in the movie is exaggerated, but to the point where it's supposed to be a little goofy even though the choreography is good. The story has a bit of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night feel to it, so it's very humorous when it comes to the plot, really enjoyed it.

    IP Man 2

Starring Donnie Yen and I also really enjoy it. A lot of good fight scenes and a very good plot. The movie made me "hate" the foreigners and did a good job of hyping up some of the fights, especially the last one. Was literally routing for the chinese guys in the movie.

Can Evrenol's short films are nasty little psychodramas. To My Mother and Father (2010) is the best on his website, a gory, very adult piece for H.P. Lovecraft fans.
