No offence but theres pictures of him hotter then the original poster posted. Those make him look like a turn off at least to me. I think this is a character mis cast because lets face it hes more appropriate to play flash then he is spiderman. Jody Latham because he is sexy as all hell but can look insanely hot and geeky at the same time.
He's got a really cute look. I'm excited. More hotter than Tobey Maguire.
He's finally getting some recognition in the US following his fantastic performance in "The Social Network". HUZZAH!
For all sad words of tongue and pen,
The saddest are these, 'It might have been.'
We'll see, how he'll do. But I don't think he looks properly for the role. Just not the type.
But my opinion can't be counted,
I didn't like e.g. the new Superman, Batman, Bond .. I just liked the look and character of the old actors and didn't liked the remakes.
And I didn't like the old Spiderman casting anyway because I so liked animated series, that I always wondered why Peter is not blond, harry don't have short hair, Dr.Connors is not black and so on...
There's hundres or thousands of actors so why can't they choose a proper type? Famous names? I don't think that means much in this case, when Spiderman is more famous then all of them.

Andrew Garfield shows off his spidey guns in a Lous Vuitton shirt for the February 2010 issue of Details, on stands this week.
Here’s what the the 27-year-old British actor shared with the mag:
On the scene in The Social Network where he loses it: “That day and night of shooting was one of my favorite experiences. I was actually proud of myself because I didn’t care what I was doing. I was literally not judging myself. And it was so f—ing beautiful for a second….I felt more like a man than I’ve ever felt.”
On his role in Spider-Man: “I see it as a massive challenge in many ways. To make it authentic. To make the character live and breathe in a new way. The audience already has a relationship with many different incarnations of the character. I do, as well. I’m probably going to be the guy in the movie theater shouting abuse at myself. But I have to let that go. No turning back. And I wouldn’t want to.” (He’s currently shooting the movie with Emma Stone.)
On training for Spider-Man: “I want to feel stronger that I’ve ever felt, and I want to feel more flexible than I’ve ever felt. I want to feel powerful. You don’t want to just be a pack of meat—it has to be an open body. It does something to your psyche, and it does something to the way you move.”
On landing the role and becoming famous: “I realized immediately how much hard work it was going to be, and how much of a minefield it was going to be in terms of all the s–t that comes with it. Stuff that I would like to not have any part of. I mean visibility and being recognized walking down the street. I’m holding out a na´ve and ignorant hope that won’t happen…. I hope I never blow up. I hope that I have to audition for every single job I want. I hope that I’m always struggling, really. You develop when you’re struggling. When you’re struggling, you get stronger.”
On red carpet events: “Those events that look like so much fun in the photos you see – it’s mostly people looking over their shoulders at everyone. They’re miserable, those parties.”

I can NOT wait for this movie, I have such high hopes for this reboot and hope that it will be 50 times better than Tobey's emo Spider-Man. Peter Parker was never some emotional wreck, sure he had his times, but other than that he had a sarcastic wit and always made lame, cheesy jokes about his enemies and the previous trilogy was seriously lacking in that department.
I do agree, though, Hollywood using these almost 30 something year old actors/actresses to play the part of teenagers is getting old. So what if it's going to have some adult content, that's why you make sure if they're under the age of 18, their fuggin' parents are on set to supervise. Still, Andrew looks more the part the part Tobey. At least he doesn't look like an actual bug... And I'm stoked they're taking it back to the roots and placing him back in high school and won't just JUMP to him being an adult. WTF was that about? >_>
Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
Also, starting the new installment out with Lizard (Dr. Curt Connors) should be a fresh a new start.
Hopefully they'll give Spidey his Web Shooters. He wasn't able to actually produce his own bio-webs until later in the comics. But...I guess not everything can go according to comic. Directors and Producers always have to throw in something they like, but whatever. At least his first love interest in this movie is Gwen, so that's a start. x] Wonder if Felicia (Black Cat) will make an appearance.
And in regards to Chris Evans playing Capt. America, eh, I'm not too exciting about that either. Speaking of Captain America... Both movies have started filming late last year (I think), why is it that Capt. America is set for this year already, but Spider-Man won't arrive until 2012? Are they going to post edit the crap out of it or what?
Anyone see any of the new on-set pics from the movie? I think there's a few with Emma Stone floating around.
funny thing is he is not my type AT ALL but I can't think but help he is so attractive.
Peter Parker is supposed to be a cute geeky guy who cracks wise during his fights. He's a science nerd who can't help but be socially awkward. Andrew Garfield looks more like Spider-man than Tobey. Tobey had the geeky thing down but his character was never as witty as he's supposed to be. I hope the movie changes that.
It will really be interesting to see Andrew play the part. At least they are adventurous on introducing a new actor for the sequel.
I think he is def one of those guys that is cute/ ok in pictures, but he POPs on camera-- he is very sexy and charming in the movies you cant help but have a little crush. its the "x" factor you cant explain--- not to take away from the fact that he is a talented actor~ loved him in the imaginarium and the social network
Let this boy to you guys, LOL, I think he is ugly, totally unattractive...wouldn't Josh Hutcherson, Lucas Till or Logan Lerman better Spiderman choices?
I think he's cute. He'll make a very good Spider-man. He's a brilliant actor.
Hot and british. What more could you want?
He's probably one of the best young actors out there!
I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think it's stupid that people think he's unattractive.
Plus, he's a terrific actor. That's kind of the most important thing about actors...
I don't get why he looks so unattractive in pictures when he was so hot in The Social Network..
His face doesn't photograph well..
I would still fuck him. He's got a unique quality about him. Beats these pretty boys.
He's very cute when he sings the Bed Intruder song
Him in Spidey suit!
Looks like a cutey
Way better/hotter than Tobey Maguire.
If you lighten the image, it leaves little to the imagination, just saying.
was never really attracted to him until I saw him in that suit!
Nice thank you!
I'm excited about a new Spiderman now. I could never really figure out why Tobey Maguire was cast last time around. Don't get me wrong, I liked the movies, but I never really bought Tobey in the role. I can see Andrew in it though.
I've had a crush on him ever since I saw him in Doctor Who. In the commentary for those episodes of Doctor Who, I seem to remember those in the commentary talking about how Andrew was on the verge of hitting it big. It looks like things may be breaking that way.
Don't like the new suit, too dark afor my taste, unless....no I will not spoil it for the rest of you. Lizard man is supposed to be the main Villain..thats not a spoiler.
I David Archuleta <3
The new costume looks awesome. The more the release teaser images the more I won't be able to wait until 2012
Hmm. They both had that weird marking, or liquid drip on their jacket.
Gosh he's so cuuuuute.
First saw him on Doctor Who, now that I have Netflix, I think I'll watch Daleks in Manhattan again.
I would be equally happy with either or both of them. Gotta say, I like Robert better with the shorter haircut. Not that I'd turn him away were his hair to still be out there.
Seeing these pictures of Andrew has me drooling for more.
Andrew is sexy
Just watched The Social Network and realized that Eduardo will be playing Spiderman...Can't effing wait!! He's SO hottt!!
Andrew Garfield was in full-on Spider-Man mode overnight on Friday, rocking the red and blue costume and putting to doubt any non-believers who questioned his ability to pull of the part of Spidey.
Garfield, who’s shooting the superhero film in the midst of all the Oscar buzz surrounding his last project The Social Network, was seen in downtown Los Angeles filming scenes for the new Spider-Man installation. He took over the role from Tobey Maguire, and it seems that with a new body filling the suit, they also made some adjustments to the skin-tight garb as well. While it’s still the same colors, the new Spidey suit has been updated with some modern design, looking much more sleek and detailed than Tobey’s old get-up.
Yeah, you get those legs in the air, Spidey! I had a dream like that once, except the costume was assless.
that is a horrible looking costume....can't wait to see what the Lizard looks like -_-
BEWARE MY POWER!
oh my What a fantastic tush!
I doubt that's Andrew in the suit though. It's probably a stunt guy. Still, it'll make excellent fap material later
Not sure if I'm lovin' the costume, but that butt looks Hott!!!
