Was that website DataLounge by any change? Because I'm sure that there has been a gay rumor about every desirable male celebrity that has surfaced on that site. I'm not shitting on the real gossip that's on there, but many times the anonymous posters who claim to personally know things about a celebrity are just reiterating what they've read posted before on the site, whether it be fact or fiction. And if you express skepticism towards or want further verification of any of their gossip, you're immediately labeled a PR troll. Ugh. I can't say whether the Justin Long bit is true, but I haven't heard it any place else, so it's still up in the air for me.

I know that some of you are disappointed by these results, but I trust that IGB is at least sincere in what he's doing, even if he and his contacts don't know all the facts about these people's lives. Unless if someone's been with them 24/7, we'll never know who's ever had the off chance experiment or one-night stand. So you never know.

I have been enjoying this thread a great deal, so thanks. I don't understand why some of the people have been so uptight though.

Anyway, I also work in the film industry and have some first hand knowledge. Not only have I been able to know about a few actors, but I've also been in non-sexual situations to seem some naked ones too.

An important factor to mention here--most successful male actors have had to deal with gay casting directors--and most gay casting directors I've known are VERY flirty with male actors, gay or straight. An actor really has to walk the line here....he has to be willing to play ball to some degree. He generally has to be comfortable with being flirted with, groped and propositioned. I've seen many actors walk this line very successfully...flirting back, laughing off gropes and never flat out turning down propositions...just sort of put them off a bit. Gay casting directors have a lot of power in this business...and believe me, they're in the business partially for the perks you get. I have witnessed this time and time again.

I've also experienced the weird insecurities of straight actors. I was on one film shoot where one straight actor (I'd call him a B List) was so hungry for attention that he would flirt with all the gay guys on the set...including me. He invited me over the hotel he was being put up in to watch a sporting event, then when I got there, had pay per view porn, and asked me if I wanted to jack off with him. (I did, of course).

I would agree that most actors have to be VERY open to gay attention to become successful in this business.

That being said, I don't think the casting couch is exactly grounds to base people's true sexual orientations upon. Sure, an aspiring actor puts out for a powerful old man--but at the end of the day, the perks include a nicely-paying job and lots of adoring women. So would you call the actor truly bisexual or just business savvy?

Now if you're posting ads on Craigslist for gay hookups or hosting swingers parties, that's something else...

I was actually waiting to get to them before addressing it...but what the hell...

I'm not part of the film industry or anything like that. I don't know many celebrities and I'm not from California or New York... in fact I've never been to either place.

But I AM from Grand Rapids, MI and there's a celebrity that you've all been asking about who was born and raised here, at least until middle school. One that still has family here and has come back to visit. One that was here about 3 months before he was thrown into superstar-dom thanks to a highly successful movie. One that I can tell you is most definitely gay.

I realize how suspect this looks, and if you choose not to believe that's fine. I'm just another "heresay" source and I have nothing that can offer any tangible proof other than my own word.

Not really.

Conspiracy theories are abound that he did say that in an interview, and that Movieline and his reps/lawyers have worked together to expunge the comment.

I, unfortunately, have no way of finding out if this is true or not.

So here's what I've done.

I've managed to obtain a cheek swap from Mr. Butler, and have sent it to the lab for a full DNA analysis.

We will test the cells for the "gay gene."

I am expecting the results sometime before next weekend.
