    Re: Lady Gaga isn't Gay

Tell me, is her pussy made of gold? Who was her first grade teacher? Who's she dating? What's she wearing to the VMA's? Is she dating anyone? Sleeping right now? Are her parents together? Any sibling? Someone in the family got a beef with her? Is there a sex tape? What's in her iPod? Does she want an iPad? What's her natural hair color? Is her dick bigger than mine?

Re: "Only queeny gay guys in tight pants with bad emo hair likes Lady Gaga"

How can you be gay and not be on Facebook?

How can you be on Facebook and not hear about Lady Gaga?

And how can you say it's only about gay men, anyway? Didn't she just have her 6th consecutive #1 single, setting some record? This is all from hearsay, of course, since I've never heard her music. Well, we might've seen a video in a bar once, but the people were so loud that I didn't really hear the tune. It was very white, though. White white white. And I think there were animals.
The world never changes if you're forever "minding my own business".
The mindset that no one knows you're gay because you haven't told them,
is like the dog that thinks you don't see him stealing the steak because he avoids your glance.
Staying in the closet is like continuing to sit in the back of the bus.
It's accepting that it's wrong to be who you are.

Whoever revived this and the 30 other threads about Gaga just because there were about 4 or 5 other threads about her currently going on because she had a new video premiering needs get a fucking life outside of the middle school antics this all entails.

Footage has emerged of an exhausted Lady Gaga appearing to almost faint on stage at a concert in New Zealand.
The video, from her opening show in Auckland on Saturday, shows Gaga struggling to remain upright during her closing song Bad Romance.
The 23-year-old pop star is seen listlessly sitting or lying down and abandoning all attempts to sing along to the song.
But the music and vocals continue, prompting Gaga critics to gleefully point out her apparent lip syncing.
"Funny how the 'live' song sounds as clear as the CD. Nothing like trying to get people to go to future concerts by not even trying to fake like you're really singing. You need to at least move your mouth to the words in order to lip sync," one blogger wrote.
The incident has raised questions over Gaga's ability to keep up with her gruelling tour schedule for Australia.
The flamboyant star was forced to cancel a concert in the US in January after she passed out from exhaustion.

That article is exaggerating a bit. From the very beginning she's clearly not in good shape at all, but she does still manage to sing for almost the entire song (even when she can't stay standing). So lip-synching really wasn't the issue there.

It's a bit worrying and she does seem to be pushing herself too far but she's making the effort, so it can't be said that she's disappointing her fans.

First, I'm going to need for you to restructure that sentence. Second, Gaga does sing, various styles, if I may add. No one belts for an entire song and certainly not an entire concert. The voice could not handle it.

As far as dancing, yes Lady Gaga can dance. She can execute choreography. If you do not like her style of dancing and singing, fine. However, she can dance. If it's her level of dancing, guess what, Beyonce is not going down for her dancing abilities, either. Beyonce does basic choreography and easy moves, too. Both can dance.

So how are you people saying that Beyonce is trying to be like her or she is intimidated by Gaga, or "jumping on the bandwagon", etc?????? Beyonce is way more established and talented----if anything, it's more likely and humbling that Gaga reached out to Beyonce for the collaborations and is jumping on the Beyonce Bandwagon while they are both hot???
Clearly, you simply have a have bias. No one is discussing her looks, or how we should feel about her looks, so that statement is irrelevant. If you want to discuss talent, let's continue. The reason that people make these statements is Beyonce has begun to change her style to resemble Gaga since Gaga has come along; not to mention, Beyonce rarely does duets. When she does duets, it's always with someone who is major in the industry.

Hahahaha, that is the most absurd and asinine comment I have heard. If you know true Beyonce, you will know that she always changes her style...she always re-invents herself....and it's in no part thanks to GAGA, might I add. Beyonce is nothing nothing nothing like Lady Googoo Gaga; and if you are referring to the colorfulness and eccentric hairdo's...then check out her "Check Up On It" or "Bootylicious" or "Diva" videos for example, just to name a few---these were all in existence before the GAGA emerged!

    Re: LADY F'n GAGA

OK, I just want to throw my opinion there:

Lady Gaga is a very talented woman. She can sing, dance, play piano, write music, and more. She can also do the first 3 all in one performance (Hell, for all we know, she's planning new songs while singing). She actually does her singing live, anyone with an ear for music can tell that. Am I saying she has never lip-synced? No. I have been in the entertainment business my whole life and I can tell you that most performers have prerecorded tracks just in case. If a performer is feeling a little under the weather (or they're having vocal issues), they can simply switch on the vocal track and attempt to give some sort of performance rather than canceling the show all together.

And she's "ugly?" So what? That doesn't take away from talent. Anyway, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. She is different and she embraces it. I think that's why so many people enjoy her. She is real, not a fake product of the plastic factory. You know, there have been other not-so-pretty performers out there that are very talented. Also, there are just as many pretty people who can't sing at all but become superstars because they're nice to look at.

OK, I'm done. Oh, and first post.

Kinda reminds me of Siouxsie and the Banshees. Only Siouxsie was actually pretty original and actually good to listen to. Emilie is trying to hard and sounds like a wannabe Julee Cruise. She only appeals to the tired goth and emo scene. Sorry. You'll just have to get over it.

    Re: LADY F'n GAGA

    Agree with everything Today4U1989 says.

Lady Gaga is a talent. She is creative - she writes her own stuff, she performs live, she puts on a show! She's in control of her image. That's what I like about her - she's the one in control of her career and not some svengali from the record company. I admire that.

Her absolute hero is David Bowie. My hero too. (And you can't have a better musical influence than that).

Whether she endures in the pop world I don't know.
I've only heard her on CD. I would love to be out in a club (even at my age) and get on the dance floor half-pissed to Bad Romance. Must be a good experience. And that's what it's all about.

I'm sure it would be just as good a feeling as when I was a young man dancing to Madonna or Kylie's latest songs.

She has sold 10,000,000 albums so far I believe. (Source: Jonathan Ross show BBC) so she must be doing something right.

I hope you weren't listening to her instrumental songs (as her singing ones suck). If you were you are deaf, because they're phenomenal. I've never heard or seen anyone play the violin that well or fuse that many classical songs together. Many violinists can't even do BWV 1004, let alone fuse it. If Lady Gaga can perform magic with an instrument then she'd probably gain more respect. Don't get me wrong...I like her very much, but it's an act and she can't play instruments as well as Emilie Autumn. But you'd have to be appreciative of classical music to understand that though...

I do appreciate classical. I'm not really crazy about a goth doing classical though. Feels more like a gimmick.

Lady Gaga's more talented then I thought she'd be.

Coming out of a decade of lip syncing tweens, Brit Brit wannabes and artists that can't even play an instrument, Lady Gaga is definitely a breath of fresh air in mainstream pop.

i love lady gaga! some of my favorite songs of hers are her unreleased ones, it's incredible, she must have at least 30 or 40 unreleased songs. and it's great that someone singing pop is actually righting their own songs instead of all this "collaborating" nonsense.

English is my first language but that sentence doesn't make sense to me. My reading comprehension fails though so that's why.

But yeah, in mainstream pop you're not required to be talented, or be able to sing for that matter. Last person to get this much attention was Britney, and I think Lady Gaga following in her footsteps is a huge step in the right direction.

Hopefully up and coming pop stars will now be able to sing live, play an instrument, write their own music and all that shit. Instead of relying entirely on looks and/or sex appeal.

I'm just kind of confused how people see someone who's not lip-syncing/playing an instrument as The Second Coming when in actuality pop stars shouldn't be lip-syncing to begin with. How does that make her an instant icon and revolutionary? I'm not saying you, Highlord, in particular...but I see a lot of people on this board state such.

I'd also like to note that this is the most confusing merge ever.

It didn't take long for someone to call Gaga the new Queen of Pop!

I think Madonna is still the queen of pop but Gaga is the closest one to taking that away from her.

Wow, she dyed her hair in Bootylicious and had pink clothing to match the theme of the Pink Panther. She used to have her mom style her, but now she's buying clothing from the same designers as Gaga in London.

Oh yea, lemme guess...Gaga founded the London design team and has copyrights to the London designers and she "allowed" Beyonce to buy from her designers, right? Yea, Beyonce should feel privileged, right?

I'm sorry...I'm just not following YOUR attempt at making a point

Re: Lady Gaga - Telephone Video Premiere [MERGED]

Music Video Pioneer Michel Gondry on Lady Gaga: 'I'm Not Interested'

Michel Gondry has made some of the most indelible music videos of all time for some of the biggest acts of the last two decades, including Radiohead, Björk, Foo Fighters, The White Stripes, Beck and even Paul McCartney and The Rolling Stones. So when Movieline caught up with him today to discuss his forthcoming documentary Thorn in the Heart, it seemed a great opportunity to feel him out on the new vanguard of the form: Lady Gaga, whose epic “Telephone” video has swept popular culture with a fury, frenzy and inspiration not seen since the glory days of which Gondry himself was a part. His response — which swept through genre monoliths from Michael Jackson to Madonna to Marilyn Manson — was unexpected to say the least.

“I’m not interested,” he said. “To me it’s like a form of Marilyn Manson. It’s hard for me to talk about it; I’ve seen a couple of videos of hers, and not for very long. I stop watching them each time because I don’t think there’s melodies. I’m sorry to be negative. Like I’m not a big fan of Madonna. I respect her very much, but unfortunately the videos didn’t help the music in the long run. Well, I guess it helped it to survive to the point where the video was irrelevant. So music has to find its own way, which is good for the music. It becomes smaller and more alive and it’s not as crazy, except for some R&B. To me, it’s just talking about the surface. I compare it to Marilyn Manson. The music to me is very expected. I don’t think there’s anything in the tone or the melody that makes me say, ‘Oh, there’s something going on.’

“And I like commercial music,” Gondry continued. “Michael Jackson will always be my favorite pop musician; he was for years and years until his death, which was horrible to me. So I like pop culture. But to me, even if it’s popular, there is a quality in the music you have to be able to appreciate. And I don’t see it. Her melodies are very conventional. I remember when my friend and I would argue about Killing Joke. I remember him saying, ‘It’s so great!’ But I said, ‘It’s so conventional! How can you find anything original? It’s just surface!’ I don’t know, maybe the comparison is ridiculous. But the melody was very, very flat. That’s probably why they are famous. But maybe it’s considered high art just because of the way she dresses?”

That raised the question of the decline of the music video overall, the foundational art form that MTV has essential banished from network.

“But you know, in 1999 or 2000, MTV and VH1 did the 100 Best Videos of All Time — two different selections — and I had zero videos in either of them,” Gondry said. “So when people tell me I’m the ‘MTV Generation,’ I just say, ‘No.’ I never won any MTV [Video Music Awards]. Oh, except for one for a video I did for Massive Attack, actually, and I lost it. My producer was furious. He wanted to put it in his office. But I loved videos. I remember watching videos very late at night — Michael Jackson videos. The first rap videos were amazing: Run-DMC, Tone Loc, all of that was just amazing. The Beastie Boys videos were always great. But then it became very stereotyped. There was this confusion. Also: The MTV Video Awards were never about the video, but about the song. Most of the time it was just to glorify people for the wrong reason.”

Gaga has been getting her fashion from designers in London since she's been using that gimmick. She was well-known overseas long before being in the U.S. On the other hand, Beyonce always had her mother, and no one else, style her. Now, she's joining Gaga by using the same designers. It's not exactly a coincidence.

Anyway, has anyone heard if Gaga is touring in your city...again? I just heard that she's coming back to the Staples Center to perform again in August, although she just performed this past December.

I will! I'll call you a revolutionary and the next Madonna!

On a more serious note she's being sued for 30.5$ million.

I heard that some of the gay fans are angry that Gaga invited that Transformers guy to be on her "Telephone" video. Rmeember how Gaga said that she will not tolerate homophobia and will not work with any homophobe? It appears that Tyrese is a homophobe.

It seems anytime anyone makes it big, or when a movie or book is successful, someone will jump out and sue them for recognition, or claim that their "original" idea was stolen.

You never hear about people demanding recognition for their contribution to shit films, or crap albums. Or that they had that some illiterate non-bestseller was plagiarised from their original idea.

For all sad words of tongue and pen,
The saddest are these, 'It might have been.'

Lady Gaga Says Homosexuality Isn't A Choice

Lady GaGa slams critics about telephone

Lady Gaga Says Homosexuality Isn't A Choice

Lady Gaga says people have no choice in whether or not they are gay, as she believes you are born that way.

Lady Gaga says being gay is not a choice.

The 23-year-old singer, who has previously discussed her own bisexuality at length, believes homosexual men and women are "born" that way.

Gaga - who claims her new video 'Telephone' is "groundbreaking" because she showcases lots of different types of sexuality in the nine-minute promo - said: "There are transsexual women and transgender women and suddenly it becomes poisonous and something else because there are some people in this world that believe being gay is a choice. It's not a choice, we're born this way.

"That's why for me this video is groundbreaking because it has one foot in the art community and one foot in the commercial world."

The 'Paparazzi' singer stars in the video with Beyonce Knowles - who also lends her vocals to the track - and prior to recording Gaga promised Beyonce it would be a classic.

She added in an interview 2Day FM's Kyle and Jackie O radio show: "I told Beyonce this after it aired, you'll see this video is not just great now but six months from now what this video will mean.

"Hearing people say the video is sadomasochistic or that the video promotes murder for young people, it's my personal belief that the video is getting so much attention, not because of those themes because I've done those themes before, haven't I?

"I've done those themes in many of my videos but it's because it's with Beyonce and it's because there are so many homosexual themes."

In the video Gaga kisses a female prison warden, is broken out of jail by Beyonce, kills someone and makes a poisoned sandwich for a group of truckers.

In the past the eccentric pop star has admitted she could easily fall in love with a woman.

She said: "Of course. There are no rules or limits when it comes to love. But I see love as separate from sex."
    I love her!
