Fucking love it.
That was pretty bizarre in an awesome way.
I love the cigarette glasses and telephone hair.
The video is okay, I generally don't like videos that cut the song off in the middle and this video did it a couple of times, I would have liked the video to be shorter and not to play the song in segments.
This was awesome! Thanks for making a post! LOVED THE RANDOMNESS! Her and B are great together!
What part of ROCK band are they forgetting here?!
Bend me, break me, anyway you need me
as long as I want you baby, it's alright.
How many product placements can you spot on that video? I don't see how this video would qualify as "epic" or an "event". It is pretty much like all the other videos that's out there today. Poor storytelling, bad choreography and over produced. The song is ok, though not as catchy as her last song.
I thought it was ok, nothing I'd spend 10 minutes watching again though.
Because I'm at a shitty cafe with poor reception I'm only halfway through this video and so far I'm a bit disappointed in the directing, not Gaga, and it's bothering me. The fight scene and Gaga going out with the cigg shades should've been cut, only because the acting was piss poor. This should be a lesson that you should never use your backup dancers or randomly casted folks to "act" in a video that pays homage to one of the best directors in the country. Excluding the fonts (still haven't seen the whole vid), that's the only thing Tarantino I see... well and the pussywagon.
I will write a second opinion after I fully watch it... I hope it changes.
You know, I would have liked it if it were more simple.
Have B and Gaga in a club dancing it out and shit.
Telephone Video Here
"I told you she didn't have a dick.
"See I told you she didn't have a dick"
The video was entertaining, but I would not call it epic.
The joke about Lady Gaga's dick was pretty funny. The costumes and hair/makeup were cool too. Still, I don't think the video is THAT amazing. It's certainly creative, but it's not epic, ground-breaking, or brilliant. It was fairly entertaining, and both Lady Gaga and Beyonce look good in the video, but it's not a video that people will be looking back on years to come.
The outfits and hair and all that stuff was pretty cool. Nothing epic, amazing, or thought-provoking about it though. It kind of seems like she is trying too hard to be original. I prefer the effortless originality of videos by M.I.A., Gwen Stefani, and OK Go. Still, it's entertaining and it will certainly please her fans.
like always, her music sucks. but this video is fucking awesome!
Featuring Beyonce? Was she even in the video? It should've been Lady Gaga Ft. Sasha Fierce... Beyonce did her thing, I like that Snow White look on her. Also loved Gaga's telephone hat look... that yellow hair suits her so well.
So we all have different opinions of this video but I'd like to know, out of all the outfits B and Gaga used in the video, which did you like the most? :P
I'm glad they cut this scene off, I see vegas show girls not high fashion. Or will this be for Alejandro?
yes the video is entertaining, it has more fun scenes, like the ones in the opening, in prison, but they have to edit the video for tv, because it's too long.
still i don't think this outshines the bad romance video, that video was simple amazing, and is had continuity and the clothes were fantastic, not to mention the Alexander mcqueen jumpsuit and shoes.
Plentyoffish.com, Diet Coke, Virgin Mobile being the most annoying.
C'mon Gaga. Give it a little while longer before you pimp yourself out like this.
oh. and beyonce blows in this video.
I went speechless during 9 minutes and 32 seconds. So that's how you fit in a 3'41"-length song into a long video.
The video is...ridiculously long and doesn't really match the content of the song. While she still reflects her usual style, the video fails to support the idea . To me, the concept itself is absurd enough to blend with the message the song is trying to send. And too many unimportant scene shots! Even Beyonce's appearances are damn weak ("A very, very, bad, bad girl, GaGa."---get real). The things good about the video are only the kitchen and the bar settings---the rest is noise.
She could do much better and save this for another song.
And are those cigarettes burning in her glasses?
I love it!
I get that it was totally overhyped, and that to be honest it barely even qualifies as a 'music video'. But I think it's really well done and so entertaining.
Looks great and so fun to watch
I think I preferred Bad Romance though because it had a more cohesive plot/concept, but I do love Telephone for the fact that it's pushing the boundaries of what can be considered a 'music video'. Even moreso since it's the continuation of a running story - I wonder if there'll be a part 3?
Gaga, you may now rest... but please, please... 2 months tops for Alejandro no LONGER.
I Love This Mv! Omg So Epic!
What an amazing video. I do think it truly is her greatest effort. The video is unlike any other video by pop acts recently. Way to go Gaga. Can't wait to see what she does next
I liked it alot and it was cool to see Beyonce tread in different waters. It was actually comical. Her (Beyonce's) version of telephone sucked. However I think this is a sign that she (B)is possibly trying to change her image and get away from J-Z ? Loved the Betty Paige look and for those that liked the kitchen scene you were just looking at the cute dancers. Futher Gaga's videos never really match the song , in our eyes because there are so many layers . Every time I watch her videos I get a new perspective . Saw her in concert a few months ago in Chicago and she was awesome.
Not excited at all
It's a love it or hate it video.
I loved it.
(And I think all the product placements were a joke, a commentary on the way TV and films are doing that more and more to earn extra money.)
"I'm chanting even as we speak, sweetie!"
"I'm kinda comfortable with getting older becauseit's better than the alternative...being dead" - George Clooney
Especially by gays.
Ok, the woman is talented and definitely a breath of fresh air.
However, I have some of these gay fanboys telling me how she's a genius and a trailblazer and completely revolutionary.
I got into an argument with someone saying she was more groundbreaking than Madonna.
Maybe I just don't get the craze. I have most of her music but I don't worship her. Her music is just pop.. mainstream pop. If you want to listen to something REALLY different, check out the alternative scene and those who play with the normal conventions of what music should be.
All the hype for the Telephone video and.... meh, I was disappointed personally.
Oh well.. rant over.
Fanboy is a term originating in the United States, used to describe a male who is highly devoted and biased in opinion towards a single subject or hobby within a given field
Cuz she is god. Durrrrrr.
^Beysus has been boring us with the same shit for the last 3 or 4 years, and over-saturating the market... and thinking she can at since she did Dreamgirls.
It's only natural that a fresh face scare her off eventually. Just this time, it's someone with a bit more... quirk.
Well I won't get into the GaGa vs Beysus debate (that will inevitably consume this thread) , but I just had to wonder what all the fuss was about concerning GaGa?
I'm somewhat indifferent to both of them (with a slight edge going to Bey), however, I did like the Poker Face song from GaGa, but little else.
Dw, the next big thing will appear soon enough. That's what our society is like after all
I think part of GaGa's appeal has to do with the fact that she's bringing things back into the music scene that we all thought was over. Things that have been lost in an age where reality television has taken over "music" networks (MTV, VH1) and digital downloading has become the norm.
Her debut album has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. In an age where nobody cares to buy physical copies of CDs anymore, that's pretty fucking amazing!
And, regardless of what you think of it, the "Telephone" video was an EVENT. it premiered on the E! channel of all places and had commercials promoting the premiere airing weeks in advance. And it wasn't just any music video. it's was a 9 1/2 minute-long mini movie. that kind of excitement and anticipation hasn't been caused in a VERY LONG TIME. explain to me how long its been since the premiere of a music video has been a WORLDWIDE EVENT.
GaGa takes what we all see as "mainstream pop" and interprets it her own way. you can't just take her music alone. the videos, live performances, costumes, etc. are all part of the package. she is doing things that haven't been done before.
she also writes EVERY single one of her own songs. and she ALWAYS sings live. very few (if any) mainsteam pop artists do that today.
she will also take a song like "Poker Face" and do a live, acoustic version that sounds nothing like the original. the reason that song blew up the way it did had a lot to do with the acoustic version. it helped the song resonate with people who might not be pop music fans. like GaGa said herself, "it's a pop record, because we made it a pop record, but it really could be any kind of record."
^^^ Did you get a royalty check to write that?
I loved the video. It was fun. What do you guys expect? She is what she is. She really isn't terribly original like some of you think she is. But I like her and her music and find her fun and talented much the in way Cyndi Lauper was in the 80's. Relax and enjoy.
Yeah I loved it. I thought the fashion, the dancing, the story: it was perfection. But to be honest, Gaga could have sat in front of a camera and lip-synced Telephone and I would have loved it. I love everything she puts out.
