Gaga will Appear on Upcoming Episode of ‘The Simpsons’It's nice to see the legends stan for Gagita.
Lady Gaga is set to guest in the upcoming episode of The Simpsons titled “Lisa Goes Gaga.” In the storyline, the singer comes to Springfield to to cheer up a dejected Lisa through “the power of speech, song and a flash mob,” Entertainment Weekly reports.
Gaga told EW: “I make music, but I don’t do voice-overs every day of the week, and their characters are so awesomely convincing and sincere and wild and funny, I had to remind myself constantly of the sincerity of the humor. That’s what I was trying to focus on, not putting on a character too much and really being as sincere as I could with the lines.”
“I would say this is one of the coolest things I’ve ever done,” she added. “My dad’s probably going to do eighty backflips when the episode comes out.”
The Simpsons creator Matt Groening says he is proud to add Gaga in the list of the series’ guest stars: “Since the very beginning, I’ve always wanted to have on the most iconic personalities of our time, and she’s it. It’s very hard to top reality with her, but I’m sure we’ll come up with something that is going to be as improbable as her usual wardrobe.”
“Lisa Goes Gaga” airs in early 2012 as part of the 23rd season of the animated series.
She look so pretty in the picture above!
‘Yoü And I’ Reaches New Peak on Billboard Hot 100
Top 20 next week perhaps? HmmmmLady Gaga’s new single “Yoü And I” has reached a new peak on Billboard’s top 100 songs chart. The track jumps 61 spots to No. 35, earning the Digital Gainer award with over 56,000 downloads sold and a 261% increase from the previous week.
The song first entered the Hot 100 chart back in May, when it shot to No. 36 due to strong digital sales following the release of Born This Way. The only other non-single to chart on the week of the album release was “Marry the Night,” which reached No. 76.
On Radio Songs, “Yoü And I” makes a strong debut at No. 58 with 22 million audience impressions (up 112%). Earlier this week, Lady Gaga sent special local versions of the single to radio stations across the United States; be sure to call your station and request the new version!
Meanwhile, Gaga’s official video for the hit song now has more than 12 million views. The visual is ranked this month’s top rated, top favorite, most discussed and viewed music video on YouTube.
and where's the album in its 13th week you ask?
First a trip down memory lane...
Yes! You And I coming for that iTunes top 10. After the VMAs and if she delivers, the song has a good chance to be top 5 imo.
Everyone here for Gaga. Even real estate bloggers.
VMA's producer on Gaga
Ignjatovic: She's a gem. She's that muse. She's sort of the artist that's really pushing boundaries that mean so much to our audience. And she is the artist that everyone is looking to. Like, what is she going to do next to outdo herself and take it to another place? I think she's inspired other artists to push themselves. I know she’s inspired me and the VMA team.
I'mma slut for the trashy MTV shows (ie - Jersey Shore)
And rewind every commercial I see featuring her for the VMAs.
She better bust my nut. Again.
I'm beautiful in my way - cause god makes no mistakes - I'm on the right track - baby I was born this way!
She's just awesome.
I can't wait until 9pm. I know she's gonna own the show.
I LOVE this promo:
And damn, MTV is really trying to milk her and cash in on her success. lol
Well, Gaga sang and she was awesome. Time to watch True Blood.
BTW, looks like Nicki Minaj raided Gaga's closet. lol
And priceless to see Katy Perry's face when she lost to Britney.
Dayum the vid 4 Teeth is freakin' sexy as hell-0 operator give me the ambulance I need help..haha
Gaga on the VMA
(youtube.com/watch?v=pItxQ7ETnA8l non HQ back up in case they remove the first one.)
The VMAs were pretty cool, the best ones in a lot of time. I don't know if, to me, Gaga topped VMA 2009. Both performances are so different in every single way it makes it hard for me to choose. It was incredible nonetheless and Brian May put the cherry on top with his rock vibe, which is what I thought had been missing before he appeared, and made it just perfect imo.
Gaga and Bey stole the show for sure.
I'm also glad she took 2 moon men home, she's now the second biggest VMA winner, only after Madonna, in just 3 years. She's coming for that wig!
She's hilarious, but it got so awkward at times.
HOLY HOOKER!!!!!!!!!!! GAGA IS AMAZING!!! Jo Calderone is OUTSTANDING and I am SO HAPPY that she played that role throughout the whole show!! It was incredible. GAGA STOLE THE SHOW!!
Gotta say that while I'm not a fan of Lady Gaga, seeing her like that made me wish she had a strap on and I was on all fours for her.
Half way there
'Yoü And I' becomes Lady Gaga's 11th Consecutive Top 20 US Hit!
If it does, she'll tie Mariah Carey with 11 consecutive US singles to enter the Top 10 (3rd only to Whitney with 13, and Madonna/Janet with 17)!
Fucking flop bitch! Eh, fellas? LOL
Lady Gaga is ranked #9 in Vanity Fair's top 50 most influential business people.
Who else if not Gaga? This year’s New Establishment list identifies the top 50 of an innovative new breed of buccaneering visionaries, engineering prodigies, and entrepreneurs—“The Age of Information gives way to a burgeoning Age of Technology,” as Graydon Carter puts it. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of the inescapable social-networking site Facebook, maintains his perch at the top of the 17th annual New Establishment List for the second year in a row. With a possible I.P.O. on the horizon by 2012, which could value the company anywhere between $50 and $100 billion, Facebook has enough clout to worry even the unshakable Google. Zuckerberg is still the youngest person ever to top the list.
Sergey Brin and Larry Page, co-founders—of Google are in the No. 2 spot, closing in on Zuckerberg as they jump up one spot, from No. 3 in 2010. Eric Schmidt, who appeared on the list last year with the duo, has since been pushed out of the C.E.O’s office, replaced by Page.
Rounding out the top five are Jeff Bezos, of Amazon, at No. 3, Tim Cook and Jonathan Ive, of Apple, at No. 4, and Twitter and Square founder Jack Dorsey, at No. 5.
Lady Gaga makes an appearance for the second year in a row. Coming in at No. 9, she is the highest-ranking woman on the list, in front of J. K. Rowling at No. 16, Sheryl Sandberg, of Facebook, at No. 26, Angela Ahrendts with Christopher Bailey, of Burberry, at No. 30, Natalie Massenet at No. 32, and Kara Swisher with Walt Mossberg at No. 40. At 25 years old, Gaga is also the youngest person on the list—not a surprise for someone whose fans managed to crash Amazon’s servers in their desperation to download her third album.
Youthful energy is spread throughout this year’s list with 15 members under the age of 40, including Zuckerberg, Brin and Page, Dorsey, Lady Gaga, Andrew Mason, Sean Parker, Ryan Kavanaugh, Jeremy Stoppelman, Ashton Kutcher, Dennis Crowley, Daniel Ek, Mikael Hed and Niklas Hed, and Justin Timberlake.
There are 14 billionaires on the list: Zuckerberg, Brin and Page, Bezos, Mark Pincus, Michael Moritz, J. K. Rowling, Jim Breyer, Reid Hoffman, Herbert Allen III, Yuri Milner, Robin Li, Parker, and Peter Thiel.
Five member of the New Establishment are actively involved in space exploration, including Brin, Elon Musk, Bezos, Thiel, and Dennis Crowley. Eight of the New Establishment nominees can count themselves members of the ever growing Stanford Mafia; they include Brin, Page, Reed Hastings, Jim Breyer, Hoffman, Musk, Thiel, and John Hennessy.

It suits her perfectly, can't wait to hear the whole thing... And I'm still waiting for that Jazz album.
USA Today Speak Out Supplement:
^Neither Britney or Gaga were THAT amazing. Britney's tribute was overhyped when in reality it lasted like 2 mins and her speech was an introduction to Beyonce (wtf!).
Gaga on the other hand was amusing at first and I liked her performance of You And I, but by the end of the show I was annoyed by her Jo character, it was too over the top...I just wanted to see her be her.
regarding Gaga at the VMA's....Annie Lennox called from 1985, she wants her look back.....why does everyone claims Gaga's so original, apart from the meat dress- everything she's done has been done.
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/167...rone-vma.jhtml"We had talked to her about the creative [for the performance] a few weeks before the show. We had a call with her, and it became clear that she's going to be Jo," VMA Executive Producer Dave Sirulnick explained.
"She showed up as Jo, rehearsed as Jo ... if you said 'Gaga,' she wouldn't respond. After rehearsals, she comes over, she says to me, 'It's nice to meet you,' and I say to her, 'I know your friend Gaga,' and she says, 'That Gaga, what a bitch!' " Sirulnick recalled. "She did not break character once. She walks in backstage and, in front of a whole bunch of people, went into the men's room. Later, we had all the Young the Giant fans lined up waiting for the band to rehearse their performance, and Jo was walking out of the building to her dressing room and someone yelled 'It's Gaga!' But she didn't respond, just kept on walking, until finally someone yelled, 'Hey, Jo!' and then she turned and waved..."
"...Over the years, lots of people have done lots of things, lots of people have worn lots of things, but no one has been that committed, that in character," Sirulnick laughed. "She's smoking in the building, she was holding court in the crowd, you know, Kanye, Katy, Adele, Tony Bennett, they loved it. They respected her commitment and her level of artistry."
And, of course, they couldn't help but be inspired by it too. Because by never wavering, by putting it all out there as Jo Calderone, Gaga raised the bar for her fellow VMA performers, too, and it was up to them to match the heights she achieved.
Maybe some pictures will refresh your memory
Yeah, meat dress, but let's not forget about: the egg (vessel) at the Grammys, bubble dress and piano, "hairbow", "discostick", video-glasses, all the "orbits". Those are just some I can think off the top of my head, I could keep going all day long with some Googling...
But the worst part of even having this conversation is that Gaga has never claimed to be 100% original. She has always given credit where it's due, and still does. Always, since the beginning of her career, she's restlessly been saying who she has been inspired by. This whole coming at Gaga for borrowing from the past has gotten so tired, most of us have moved on, when will you?
The only thing she's claimed, is that she's pushing boundaries. I'd like you to prove her wrong.
all the media people and music people are always calling her original- and many, many fans- I was talking about them using the term- not her....as for boundaries- she's been very helpful with gay rights...but again- Cher, Annie Lennox, Madonna and Grace Jones, etc all pushed those boundaries beofre...i.e. the walls were considerably loosened when she arrived
What you just don't get is that because someone's done something before, or walls have been loosened, doesn't make other people's work worth nothing; and I wasn't talking about gay rights, or yes, but not only. Do you think Madonna would be anywhere she is now if she hadn't push what Marilin Monroe, for example, had done before? Doesn't mean she's a copy of her, just that she was smart enough to use what had worked before, and make it her own; just like Gaga does. People wouldn't have bought Madonna if she had only been an exact copy of Marilin. Success speaks for itself when it comes to Madonna, and so it does with Gaga. Gaga has brought up stuff that had been pretty much forgotten and made it relevant in her way, that's one of the reasons people find her interesting, just like they did with Madonna.
That something is revolutionary or innovative doesn't mean it can't be further pushed or be changed to better. If artists weren't allowed to borrow from the past there would be no art.
no- I'm certain I've heard people on TV- Ent Tonight, E News, The View, etc all call her original...they did the same to Katy Perry- saying how 'I Kissed a Girl' was so original and ground breaking...when Jill Sobule did her own 'I Kissed a Girl' in 1995....it's mainly the fact that the media has the attention span of 6 weeks- anything years before is long forgotten

‘Yoü And I’ Becomes Lady Gaga’s 11th Consecutive Top Ten Hit
3 whole years.Just weeks after Gaga’s smash hit single “The Edge of Glory” ended its 3-month run in the top 10 of Billboard’s Hot 100, the singer is back in the top tier as her latest release “Yoü And I” jumps 16-6 on this week’s chart. Thanks to Gaga’s show-stopping performance at the MTV Video Music Awards, the track is one of the top gainers with a 61% increase in sales (175,000 copies) and 32% in airplay.
The Mutt Lange-produced “Yoü And I” becomes Lady Gaga’s eleventh consecutive top ten hit in the United States, putting her in fourth place among solo artists with the most top top tens in a row, only behind Janet Jackson, Madonna and Whitney Houston.
Since the release of “Just Dance” back in 2008, Gaga sold more than 35 million digital tracks in the U.S. alone, among which are “Poker Face,” the most downloaded song by a female artist of all time, and “Paparazzi,” which was the singer’s only number one on Billboard’s Radio Songs until “Born This Way” stormed the chart earlier this year.
Worldwide, her international hits such as “Bad Romance,” “Alejandro” and “Judas” as well as albums, including the hot-selling Born This Way, have moved an impressive 90 million copies, which already makes Gaga one of the best-selling musicians of all time.
Fellow VMA standout performer Lady Gaga likewise benefits from a buzzworthy appearance on the telecast. After she opened the festivities with "You and I," the song charges 16-6 on the Hot 100 - becoming her 11th top 10, her entire output of singles promoted to radio. The cut climbs 8-4 on Digital Songs (175,000, up 61%) and 37-23 on Radio Songs (41 million, up 32%). Source'Yoü And I' Week 5 Receipt
