Yikes. And I didn't think it could get any worse than NMT. Who is making the single choices? Are these truly two of the best songs on the album? Barf!!
With her history, the next single is more likely to be ballad. I'm hoping its You Lost Me. It would be smart to have a summer hit, but Christina always wants to be different.
She can kiss her status as a 'pop princess' goodbye. Seriously I'm rooting for her but she's making it pretty fucking hard with these singles she's releasing.
I'm going to agree with Anton, I want an epic ballad on par with "Beautiful" and "I Turn To You" next.
To be fair, these two songs were recorded by Polow after the album was done. From the reviews I've read about the album, its said that NMT is the weakest track, so that's good news. I just really hope that her label isn't trying to push out all the tracks like NMT or she could lose her audience.

But that's the thing, who releases two shit singles in a row? I can understand the first one being weak and the second one knocking the ball out of the park but "Woohoo", seriously?
They best change the song selection asap or Christina will be left behind in the pop music world.
That is good news. I'll take a sigh of relief on that one...
I don't know what it is about record execs pushing the sorriest songs on the albums to be singles, just because they are good to groove to, etc.

Christina's done the same thing (release the shittiest song on the album as the first single) for her last two outings.
In fact I hated Aint No Other Man (and still do) so much, I almost passed on Back to Basics completely. But when I heard snippets of the rest of the album online, she was able to pull me back on board. I ended up loving that album. So with her previous history of delivering a great album despite some shaky singles, I still have very high hopes for Bionic. I'll stay patient and wait for X-tina to release a song from the new ablum that REALLY blows my socks off. B/c I know she can do and I know she will do it.
And really, I kinda like both NMT and Woohoo. For such customary, unoriginal songs, I gotta admit that they're both sorta cute.
^ Damn you Moe, now I'm going to give Christina another chance solely based on you liking her.
NMT semi reminded me of Alicia Keys when she released "Doesn't Mean Anything" and I thought, fail. But then TSWABH premiered and I fell in love with her all over again.
I'm hoping to have the exact same reaction with Christina when her third single's released.
Her official website released the track list for the standard edition of Bionic. I really wanna hear Glam and find out why was it scrapped as the first single.

The package looks amazing, but what the hell would I want vinyl? lol

Not a Huge fan of I hate boys, pretty poppish not very "Aguilera"
But the biggest surprise for me yet is Bionic.
I am extremely excited for this song now !! I love it. As of right now, it's the only song that actually caught me
'I Hate Boys' sounds like a Britney leftover and 'Bionic' sounds all over the place much like 'NMT' and the terrible song with Minaj. But I gotta say, I'm kinda diggin 'You Lost Me'.
LOL, "I Hate Boys" does sound like a Brit Brit/Gaga left over. Someone should have advised her not to record that one.
"You Lost Me" sounds decent, I wouldn't mind that being on radio station rotation for the next few months or so, better that then "Woohoo".
I love "Bionic", well not the lyrics and shit but the BGM music is epic. The verse reminds me of All Saint's "Rock Steady" which is probably why I like it.
Still waiting on the album to be released/leaked, can't wait!
I love Christina, I really do. And I want to like this sooo bad but I can't. "Stripped" is still my favorite album of hers, and actually one of my favorite albums period. I got really excited when I saw stills from the NMT video because I thought "finally we're getting some Xtina back". She's not going to try and play to what's "in" right now and we're going to get a kick ass album. But all the songs I've heard off of it have been kinda mediocre. I think she's trying entirely too hard to be edgy and cool and I don't know that it's working.
Yessss Bionic is available to pre-order on iTunes and you get "WooHoo" immediately. I guess its official to say its the next single or thats what iTunes claiming.
I've missed Christina She's my favourite contemporary pop female but the only songs I've liked so far are WooHoo and the ballads. NMT, Bionic and I Hate boys are all a bit crap. Which is weird because usually Christina's up tempos are good (Dirrty, Candyman etc.)
I'll reserve final judgement until I hear the whole thing though.
I know people rave about the Stripped era but I actually only really liked one of those singles (even though I loved the album as a whole), this looks like it may be a repeat of that.
Part of me wishes that it was released in the fall so she could have lead with a ballad and shown off her fucking epic voice. However a ballad in summer will flop so hard.
I dont get what people are complaining about. Christina never does music that is expected. She changes it completely every album. It's like people cant handle that she isnt doing what you want.
You cant expect her to be like Mariah and make the same silly album over and over again or with generic Diane Warren ballads. What exactly do you want her sing? R&B songs that no one listens to anymore.
