Kurt has been very proud and confident from the beginning - and there’s nothing wrong with that! I think the problem is though that he’s sometimes so busy with himself that he doesn’t realize how much his behavior affects others. Kurt’s not very sensitive or empathetic but somehow self-centered.

When Finn was being told that he had to move in with him, Kurt immediately was talking about redecorating the room, totally oblivious of how Finn was feeling at that moment (What 16 year old boy wants to share a room with his step-brother that is crazy in love with him? Finn’s mom is mainly to blame for this, she should’ve known better).

Later when Kurt had turned the room into this hideous chamber with museum-like furniture, he again had done what HE wanted to do without consulting anyone. What he had created was the result of who HE was, completely ignoring Finn’s needs, feelings or interests. Redecorating the room could have been an opportunity for both guys to grow together but Kurt turned it into an act of self-expression. Finn snapped, which he shouldn’t have, but honestly I understand why the situation escalated.

This week’s episode was a big fail. I don’t know what exactly has changed since Glee returned from the break but this is not the show I fell in love with last year. Last week’s episode has been the only good one so far :-/

Kurt is just terrible. There's nothing wrong with him being flamboyant and feminine but how aggressively he tried to push himself on Finn was so annoying. And while Mike O'Malley's scene was great it was kinda unwarranted. The scene would have made more sense for him to say that the football players. It was so out of character for Finn to even say "faggy".

I think the show handles this issue really badly. The football players made sense. Why does it matter to them what Kurt wears? But Finn was justified in being angry at Kurt. Kurt was being completely inappropriate and predatory to Finn. and perpetuates that PC bullshit where anytime you are mean to a gay guy you are being homophobic. It's not the gay guy is being a crazy asshole. The oversensitivity I think is counterproductive.

I hope they don't...but the whole "I am different" line adds to my fears.

I see where you are all coming from. I end up like bits and pieces of each episode. I think that the story arc of Rachel finding her mom was over quite quickly but then there are story arcs that are there for a longer.
As for making Finn bisexual, i don't think so. I was reading something somewhere, probably Ask Auseillo, i think that he posted something about them bring in a gay character for Kurt next season. So there is hope.

I liked the episode, it was entertaining, I loved Brittany's one liners. I hated all the Kurt/Finn stuff. Kurt's characters annoys me sometimes, I hate how he pursues an obviously straight guy, I have known other gay men who do that and it is so stupid, all they are doing is setting themselves up for disappointment. I loved Bad Romance, it was fun.

I think they handle the gay issue very well (so far) I can only comment up to the episode that was on here as im not sure what episode is on in the US. The last one we saw was where that guy plants the tape in rachels box and she sings i dreamed a dream with her mum, well kinda lol

I dont know what the gay creator is thinking. He has basically made Kurt everything that homophobes and ignorants think: Constantly trying to make everyone gay and then hiding behind minority protections even when they are wrong.

Then Rachel's dads. When they were shown seemed kind of interesting. Now they are only mentioned as a plot device that kinda works against gay adoption. Rachel needs a mom to sew her dress b/c she has 2 gay dads who stapled stuffed animals. If theyre already stereotyping shouldnt gay dads be better at sewing than this woman.

I just dont get why a gay show writer/creator would make such horrible stereotypical storylines that actually work against gay people and show the deficiency in same-sex parenting.

One question about Kurt's house. To me, it looks like Kurt's room is the basement converted to a bedroom. But we were also told that the house has 2 1/2 bathrooms. So presumably it has more than one bedroom. So why is Kurt down in the basement?

I feel like I'll be hung for saying this but I thought Bad Romance was done well I felt for a change they were actually singing instead of that thing Rachel does by over acting while Lip Synching. There is no cohesion on this show anymore...hasn't been since it came back in April when they decided to have each episode have a strict 'theme'.

The only way to redeem itself is to trash the theme episodes in my opinion...and get back to having songs revolve around plot, not plot around songs (with themes to boot).

Oh yeah. The Kurt/Finn storyline I've actually at times skipped past it. It's so uncomfortable to watch. Though it's made me appreciate straight people more and recognize that for the ones who are gay-friendly, it can be difficult.

They could take Kurt's story and make something really great out of it, Colfer certainly has the acting chops to pull it off, but they instead choose to turn him into a caricature. When he's not throwing himself at Finn, or trying to emotionally blackmail his father, or being downright rude to other glee club members, then he's actually a great character.

I guess I'm in the minority because I actually really enjoy the Kurt/Finn storyline. And I have no problem with the show's handling of the gays (well...I am a little annoyed that the gay dads couldn't sew). I think Kurt's character has used effectively to show comedic relief and show how tough it is to be a gay youth.

What I think most of you are forgetting is Kurt is a high school student. Who doesn't remember falling in love with the straight guy you can never have? Who didn't fantasize about turning him? Has the character done some incredibly dramatic and unrealistic things to try and get the guy? Yes. But this is a tv show based on kids bursting into song. The characters and situations will be greatly exaggerated.

Also, I'm a little upset with everyone's notion that Kurt needs to be 'butched up'. I don't see what's wrong with his flamboyant character. How the hell else will they be able to get his character across without all the flamobyance?

Just watched the Bad Romance clip again did Santana lip synch Gaga before burting into her own voice its just when she starts her voice seems waaay different and her synching is way off, just wondering.

Also madonna and GaGa come on Ryan I actually cheered when Puck did Sammy D and the Boys finally did KISS, seriously I'm waiting on the Kylie ep then I'm turning if off. Stop using fame hungery fake users like GaGa and Madonna get proper Artists to base an episode on!

I would love for Kurt to realize Finn is never going to turn gay and for the two of them to develop an actual brotherly relationship.

I don't know though. Maybe it is just about Finn. If Kurt were to throw himself at Puck I wouldn't mind at all and I'd find it really entertaining. As far as Puck goes, when he isn't being a dick, he's really sweet and adorable.

And I've read some quotes about Kurt's future in Season 2 and I'm really happy about it.

I also agree with that the gay dads not knowing how to sew saddened me.

I agree with some of the other posts about how they have gotten out of the story line with the themes. I also agree about the back up dancers, where do they come from? I am also trying to figure out how Quinn is having her baby already... if its been 9 months the school year should be over.

The Lady GaGa episode was a really good one, they did Bad Romance very well. Idina also did Poker Face very well

I think that's the reason I don't mind the storyline. Like the person below said, I remember being totally, head over heels in love with this straight guy in high school. Lord, I wanted him so bad. And I did a lot of stupid things trying to get him. So I identify with Kurt and I think it shows what a lot of us go through in high school; it's tough falling for someone that will never want you.

Yeah, I'm never disappointed with the show's choice of songs. I don't like some of the rock stuff they did (Loser, Beth etc) but I think they did them very well.

Also concerning hulli's quote, I would really love if Finn and Kurt have a brotherly relationship, I think it would be a good showing of how a gay man overcomes discrimination... really? i thought the episode was awesome, and all the numbers were performed well.

if you take the show for what it is, a fun guilty pleasure, you'll find it is pretty damn good.

But I was watching the "Bad Romance" performance again, and noticed Brittany (Heather Morris) crouching down after Santana's solo is almost done and banging on her knee with one foot coming off the ground to the beat.

While I know she is a professional dancer and did Single Ladies w/ Beyonce at the AMA's, that shit is hard to do

It's a funny joke. People really clung to that, but more and more it's a balance. Half know me as that, half know me as Mike Chang.

Have you had a favorite performance?
The one that really stands out is the mattress number [set to Van Halen's ''Jump'']. It was just a day of being a kid. We literally just got to jump on our backs and flip, and if we fell, it was okay because it was part of the number.

(Neither of these clips that great in terms of quality, but enough to the idea.)

I was just re-watching last week's episode last night and was thinking of posting about Harry on here since no one else seems to mention him. Glad to see someone beat me too it. He is very cute, and he's got great moves. He also adds terrific energy to virtually every scene he is in.

Harry's been around for some time, too. He was one of the original silhouettes in the Apple ipod commercials.

Loved tonight's episode. Regionals went the way it should have. The scene with "To, Sir, With Love," was beautiful. The judges were over the top, but what a great Sue moment in there. An almost perfect episode.
