Anyone catch Blaine's comment about the "bathhouse circuit" last night? HAHAHAHA! I'd certainly visit!
Anyone catch Blaine's comment about the "bathhouse circuit" last night? HAHAHAHA! I'd certainly visit!
^I know that because both my parents were smokers [both starting around 15 although my mom quit when she wanted to have children]. With alcohol, you get the raccoon eyes or at worst, the veins under your eyes.
I'll keep my review brief. Holiday episodes suck however, it was not as bad as last season's episode. C+ at best.
OK- I watched part of it....does Blaine have parents?????? What parent lets their teenage son fly to NYC on Xmas Eve and miss Xmas with the family!!!???? Didn't he miss Thanksgiving, too???? Son of the year!
Yeah for a Christmas episode it wasn't as bad, fluffy and corny as I was expecting but that isn't saying much, the episode sucked and I had to fast forward in most of the songs. The only highlights for me were the emotional moment between Marley and her mom (I thought it was touching) and seeing Jake Puckerman shirtless:
![]()
I so did not understand the whole Artie scene at the beginning....they've already done that when he was dancing The Safety Dance in the mall.
Its come to the point where I'm actually looking forward to the Rachel/Kurt NYC scenes because they have become the only watchable part of the show. Though I really did love the Marly and her Mom scenes.
So with Finn's Mom and Kurt's Dad being married, you would think this big new family would want to be together for Christmas, yet they seperate back to their old lonely units for Christmas. Seems very unrealistic. And Kurt doesn't have money to go back to Ohio for Christmas....uh, Dad is no longer a mechanic, he's a US Congressman...nice, fat raise he got...dude can fly you home.
Last year, Sam was all charitable and concerned with poor people at Christmas, and missed his big family and young siblings...who only live a short drive away in Kentucky last we heard. This year, he doesn't mention any of this and just hangs out at BreadStix. Of course, no one knows where Sam lives anyway. In an interview, someone recently asked Chord if Sam was still living with Finn's parents and he said, "I'm not sure. I've been wondering. I guess."
Love how the Glee writers just throw anything against the wall.
The Glee story line is as realistic as Family Guy's story line.
lol yea start over, i think they really shot themselves in the foot with having so much of the original cast graduate, i feel like seasons 1-3 were like one show (for example Saved by the bell) and now season 4 on will be a different show (Like saved by the bell, college years) some same people, but not the same shows everyone liked.
i feel this show is soo trying to be degrassi, with the bulimia story line and live triangle feels like they are trying to hard it seems, ill keep watching, because i have some investment in some past characters. lol
After a long hiatus, Glee is back with new episodes. SPOILERS AHEAD!
The good parts: I love the new guy that Kurt is lusting after: he's like Dr. Who minus the timey-wimey stuff. Love seeing more of Becky and her "I got to 3rd base, bitches!" remark. Great to see Lauren Zizes back, especially now that she's hooking up with Teen Jesus. Also noticed a total lack of Sue - the show needs to put her on a bus for a while like they did with Mr. Shue until the writers can remember how to make her as awesome as she was in season 1. Speaking of Shue, I prefer Finn as leader of ND. He's not as overly ernest as Shue was and it gives him something to do other than stand around and pine for Rachel. Speaking of her...
The bad: Rachel is still going after Kate Hudson's sloppy seconds? He isn't hot enough to be worth the drama, OK? Also, what is Tina smoking? What did she expect Blaine to say other than no? Did she suddenly forget that he's allergic to vagina? Even worse, she expected him to apologize for turning her down because it "embarrassed" her. Seriously? He didn't call you an ugly cow, you stupid bint; he just said "no". What did you think an openly gay man is going to say when a woman asks him to be her date to a dance? Speaking of Blaine...
The ugly: Please, please, please do not hook up Blaine with Trouty Mouth, Ryan Murphy. Yes, I know you're going to do it because Blaine is your Mary Sue avatar and you write your characters as well as Rob Liefeld draws comics. Since i'm on the subject of ugly, nice to see Kitty is willing to let her kitty out of the litterbox in an effort to 1-up Marley. Ho-bag only offered Jake a ride on the Katmobile so he'd take her to dance instead of Marley, but thank goodness he had enough sense to see through her BS. Unfortunately, his 1/2 bro Puck still let his Lil' Puck do all the thinking and broke statutory laws with Queen Bitch. Hopefully history will repeat itself and the Cheerios will have someone to take Quinn's place as "Best Head Cheerleader and Teen Mom".
The stupid: The Warblers were on steroids? REALLY? SERIOUSLY? I mean, I knew the show was going to make up some contrived reason to give New Directions another shot, but STEROIDS? It makes ND look like sore-losers that rule-sharked to get their way, except they got lucky and hit pay dirt. Maybe this will lead to an episode featuring songs by Sheryl Crow.
I could have sworn I mentioned in the past [too buzzed to look back] that Blaine would eye Sam. I swear if this Aussie bloke leads Kurt down a path of drug abuse, I will just assume that Ryan Murphy is telepathically stealing my thoughts and that should be grounds for suing.
Uh, I think the new guy is a Brit.
I HATE the British guy...hated him on "Episodes" and hate him on this. But at least on "Episodes" his accent and bad acting lent themselves to the role he was playing.
Starting this last week, I just FF thru the NYC scenes ( unless there is a shirtless scene of Rachell's boyfriend). I was hoping they would write off Rachel/Kurt. I find them so boring and cliche. I just can't take them. So, I am offically economizing time and forwarding all the NY material.
I thought the latest episode was very meh, just a lot going on without much focus. Some random thoughts...
I really appreciated Kurt's storyline at NYADA, we saw more of that school then we ever did during Rachel's. I like Adam so far, enjoyed that he was courting Kurt to be in his group because he really respects his talent, plus didn't let him deflect that complement. Yes, the actor looks his age but when he performs he looks a lot better. Speaking of looks, I've never thought much of Chris Colfer's but in this episode he looked great.
Brody & Rachel is such a HAM. Seriously. Brody is late (due to circumstances that were beyond his control) and she throws a fit? He tells her he'll move closer so that he'll never be late again, so she then asks him to move in? These two lack any real chemistry for me to care either way.
Poor Tina, always marginalized, she finally gets a storyline and it's a crush on... Blaine. I can understand her being attracted to him, but she was using words like "love of my life" when describing him. Very awkward, completely pulled from thin air, and very looking forward to this storyline being wrapped up.
I find myself enjoying the NY side of Glee more since the new class are 2.0's of the original characters, but I'd like to see more of Unique. Would have been a good episode for her to explore if she had a crush as a transgender. Anything is better then witnessing statutory rape Puck & Kitty.
I liked the "Tell Him" and "No Scrubs" performances.
What is going on with Blaine and Sam. I was out and missed almost the entire episode. I came in when it was the last bit and Blaine gave Same a weird glance. I was like "What was that ?"...
And... Tina has a crush on Blaine ? I thought that she was dancing with him because they were friends.
glee first season was compelling - acting, music and importantly the scripts.
it seems more and more becoming rachel and kurt's glee. wish they just went the sopranos route with complex multi story telling - quinn, mercedes, mike chang etc. plus so many talents being underutilized. sue sylvester since season 2 has become a one note, and now mr shue isnt a one note, he isnt there anymore.
From reading AfterElton- (gave up watching Glee, but I will DVR and watch the Naked episode this week- ff thru ALL but 'naked' parts), Blaine is falling in love with Sam....
the butt song was priceless
Fuck you Ryan Murphy!
You see, if two teams get disqualified, that would mean the Mennonites would win you dumb moron. Thank god that logic fallacy was panned by any logical reviewer and gave this recent episode a whopping 'F'.
Finally, a Sam-centric episode. And lots of skin. I'm happy.

I just caught a preview of the girls and Blaine from next weeks episode, I must say I love it!
I loved this episode. So much testosterone.
Kitty was serving EVERYTHING
So... was I the only one who thought tonight's episode was weird... and creepy... and not good... and creepy... and did I mention creepy?
I've just started to watch Glee the last two or three weeks and I am still trying to pick up the storyline and who is who, but I thought that tonight's singing and numbers were really good, especially the dual between the man and woman singing.
No you were not.
Will and Emma kissing? Made no sense. Bring on the drama for next week's wedding, I guess.
Tina is fucking bat shit crazy and not even in an entertaining way. Her rubbing Vix over a sleeping Blaine, while straddling him, was one of the most uncomfortable moments I've seen thus far. I actually cringed and said "Hell naw" out loud. Dummy-Blaine continues to feed her obsession by apologizing, giving her a rose, thanking her for "being there" for him, and invites her to Will & Emma's wedding as his date.Spoiler: (Highlight this box to see the hidden message.)
Which is only going to bring the real cray-cray out of Tina since Kurt ends up being his date.
NY continues to be the better parts of the show and I hope next season is given more screen time. Yay at Santana joining Rachel & Kurt.
*Finn and Emma.
Also, I liked Tina's "Hung Up" performance along with Santana's "Girl on Fire."

I don't know what those other hoodlums were doing during the Diva performance, but Kitty was giving y'all lyfe. Here for anything Santana did/said, especially those reactions she was bringing outta Ryder during Nutbush City Limits.
Oh lord, that episode had good songs, but the rest of it was so wrong.
I saw the Finn/Emma thing coming a mile away. I said to myself, "Self, you know that Emma is going to freak out about the wedding, and Finn is going to take advantage of her loneliness and vulnerability, right?"
You already have Shue's job - might as well have his fiancee, right, Finn?
As for Tina: Girl, get your damn head checked. BLAINE IS GAY. YOU HAVE A VAGINA. GAY GUYS DON'T LIKE VAGINA. EITHER GET A SEX CHANGE OR MOVE THE FUCK ON YOU CRAZY BITCH. When I saw her apply the VapoRub, I thought...."Oh shit, is Glee gonna go there?". Thankfully, even Ryan Murphy isn't stupid enough to bring that rape shit up in here (but it came pretty damn close).
And how in the fuck can there be a Diva episode without the Main Diva, Mercedes or the Queen of Bitches, Quinn? Even Princess Bitch Kitty took a backseat to Tina. At least Santana got a chance to shine and show all the wannabes how it's done.
Speaking of wannabes: I loved when Kurt knocked the tiaras off those two tired princesses. I think we just witnessed the discovery of a 32nd flavor of shade.
Like the rest of the people in this thread I found this episode to be an OK one with good songs.
I'm glad that Tina finally won something (cause as Brittany says: "She never wins!!").
I liked the New-york part of the episode, especially the ending with Santana moving in with Rachel and Kurt.
As for the Lima part: the Emma-Finn kiss (show it coming from miles away at the beginning of the episode when Finn said they were thinking alike).
Like FuryofFirestorm I really feared they were going to go there with Tina and Blaine (after Murphy and Falchuk are responsible for most of the Over the Top things in Nip/Tuck so it wouldn't have surprised me if they had gone that way.. :-/)
One thing that really get me out of the episode was Blaine's outfit while he was singing the Freddy Mercury song (I get it Freddy Mercury was wearing that type of costume on stage) but here for me the whole thing just felt really cliché (just the jacket or the cap would have been enough in my opinion).
I had two big "what the fuck!!!" moments during it.
#1; Finn. WHAT THE FUCK, BRO?
#2; Tina. You ain't a diva, you're batshit crazy.
On the positive side...
Kurt was fantastic in all the right ways. Blaine singing Don't Stop Me Now was even better! But the best moment goes to Santana with Girl on Fire. That and the point I couldn't stop hearing the queens singing Boy is a Bottom![]()
Author of Lost in a Dream. If you want to make me smile, read it and tell me what you think.
The only thing that I find circling the drain right now is Kurt and that british guy.
Yeah, if there was any rationality [having dealt with "Tinas" in the past] to the writers, Blaine would be giving Tina some serious cold shoulder.
watched last week because the Calendar scenes...so I tried it again this week- Shoot me now! I thought they might keep rolling the Blaine loves Sam story (even if they don't get together- we ALL fell in love with at least 1 str8 guy in school- I'd like to see it- Kurt and Finn wasn't too interesting, because neither was as hot as either Blaine or Sam)
Stupidest moment- Gemini mentioned Tina rubbing Vicks on Blaine's chest...ah- then the dumb bitch lays her head down near his chest- that stuff- VICKS, burns like a mother fucker if you get too close to it eyes water, etc....
Blaine looked hot in his red fringe diva costume- the Freddie Mercury outfit looked dumb- would have been hot if he took the jacket off, shown the muscle T...

I have 2 Questions
1
Where is Sugar
2
Even though Unique is a member of New Directions why wasn't her male persona of Wade used in the calender?
Can they sack the writers as i am so sick of continuity gaffs that are fixed with a band aid, like where has Lauren Zizes been? Wasn't Sam Dyslexic as well? Where are not just Blaines, but Tina, Artie, & Brittany's Parents and or siblings yet we see family memberrs for Marley & Jake? Also when it comes to the Puckermans where is there younger sister shouldn't she be either freshman by now? And where is Santana going to sleep at Rachel & Kurt?
I'm sure some of these storylines have been lifted from fanfictions as they are getting more outlandish by next.
Also if it hadn't been touched why wasn't Kurt involved in the Bro pressies Puck gave out prior to Graduation and why wasn't he asked to help with Puck geography class since he was tops in class , why go with half the boys who are in the yea below? Ir really wish that the writers would deal with the fact that Kurt is a guy as well as Gay like they have for blaine obviously be a gay person playing a gay person relegates you to crap portrayls where as a str8 actor playing gay gets plumb visual & vocalisations.
All group singing scenes in season 3 had Kurt and blaine paired up with others or nowhere near sitting/standing with each other point in question for me was "We Are Young" Baline got major lines sinign with Sam, rachel, finn et al where as Kurt got stuck with Artie & Sugar little thinigs like this shit me .
Soy for the soapbpx but i just found this thread and needefd to get shit off my chest lol
