I like it. The vampire is so sexy. I like the girl too. I feel bad for her being a ghost.
bbca has some good shows i like this one was nice to see the werewolf kill the head vamp
the scene where the ex.. treated her extremely shitty and she just listened.
i would have kicked his butt...granted her ghost powers were still unknown to her...
For such young actors, the acting is first-rate.
"I'm chanting even as we speak, sweetie!"
I like it, especially the funny moments. Like when Annie was upset, and Mitchell said, "You've just got to meet the right person."
There was a weird bit at the end of the series finale. I'm looking forward to seeing it explained further in the second series.
I love this show. It makes me want to cry, it makes me laugh and it has scared me. The three main characters are really well developed and played by the actors. I am currently watching it for a second time on BBC1 and love it more then ever. Bring on Season Two.
Don't stop me now, don't need to catch my breath , I can go on and on and on. When the lights go down and there's no one left I can go on and on and on. Give it to me, yeah.
wow, i thought i was the only one who watched this show. i love it! what other shows has the werewolf been on, he looks familiar. i am looking forward to season 2 and hopefully some more shirtless scenes with the vampire. do you think the ghost has lost her chance to pass on to the other side? i would probably went ahead and went thru the door but then again i am a selfish coward!![]()
^^LOL If that happened, the show is over.
"I'm chanting even as we speak, sweetie!"
just finished up the first season today...think it's a really great show.
Love the show. It was a great surprise because it really was not that well promoted. Thought I would die laughing when Annie was trying out being 'evil'! CONFESSSEESSHHHH!!!!
Oh, and I thought I would have a heart attack over Mitchell's rockin' hairy chest. Damn, he's sexy!
the original pilot did not include... Lenora Crichlow or Aidan Turner ..
Guy Flanagan(hairless chest) played Mitchell ...
Andrea Riseborough played Annie....
He was in doctor who "voyage of the damned" (the one with Kylie) and Gavin and Stacey. He was also part of the History Boys movie and play.
The orginal pilot was good. I am glad they changed it though. They made the vampires more modern which works better I think. Also I was not fussed on the original ghost much prefer the new Annie (adorable). Gald they changed it.

Season 3 of the original series is starting Jan 23rd.
And the American SyFy remake aired Jan 17. I didn't like it...but I'll give it a chance.

^ I am really excited about the return of the original series. I am a little wary of the Syfy remake. I am huge fan of the series. Russell Tovey is wonderful and there's lots of heart and laughter through it all. I hope the Syfy series retains the same sense of humour.
For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.'
Yeah the vampire (uk) is very hot, any pics?
One of my favs on tele...
I got into it right away. I was enjoying the premise of the show and then the ghost showed up and I was hooked.
Russell Tovey Is a sweetheart... except for that one litle problem of his

I saw the Syfy version and I loved every minute of it. I wish I would have seen the BBC 1 English version but I'm currently hooked on the syfy one and I have only seem the first episode.
The UK version is soo much better. Not saying the Syfy one is bad. But I just saw the series 3 premiere of the UK one and it was amazing.
Yay, thanks. The werewolf guy looks like he's used to bottoming.
US version, not awful. But not great either. I'll keep watching to see where it goes...
the guy who was interested in annie...but then went crazy on her...i thought he was kinda sexy.....
UK version continues to kickass. S3 is shaping up to be better than S2.
Now for the U.S version...
Okay, episodes 1+2 of the Syfy version were just really really bad. Very disjointed, crappy dialogue, trying too hard to mimic the original. etc
I almost just gave up on it. Besides it was weirding me out to watch the UK one on Sunday and the the US one the day after.
BUT, I am so glad I forced myself to watch episode 3 of the Syfy version tonight. It finally got me hooked. It was so good and I found myself appreciating the characters on their own terms instead of just comparing them to the originals. The dialogue and acting were also much better. Sally is still kind of the weakest link but she's improving. And I'm starting to think that Aiden is prettier than Mitchell.
I hope they keep going in a different direction than the original because I can see the potential of having two versions, now. And apparently it's doing well in the ratings.
The UK S3 finale.![]()
I am loving that Robson Green has joined the cast of the UK series!
I may go to the Syfy series when the UK one finishes up, just to get my fix. Haha.
For all sad words of tongue and pen, the saddest are these, 'It might have been.'
I love Being humanMitchell and George are hot
Damn the last ep of series 3 i was like wtfHope there's guna be a 4th series
Anyone else been watching the Becoming Human Webisode's?
I started watching the Syfy eps, i like the Vamp he's ok , the ghost was really annoying in the begining.
I liked the werewolf guy, not as much as Russell tovey's though but REALLY hate the cgi wolf,
im guna stick with it and see how the rest of the 1st season goes i might end up liking it as much as the uk series
I just checked the Being human website, and there's going to be a 4th series next year

^ Yay S4! But honestly after that finale, I JUST don't even know where they'll take it. I'm still in shock. lol
+ As for the American version:
I'm glad, tbh. Otherwise I'd feel like I wasted my time getting into it.Syfy renews 'Being Human' for second season
Syfy notes the show has averaged 1.8 million viewers, making it the network’s most successful winter scripted series launch in six years. Also, the show has a 53 percent female audience, making it the channel’s most female-skewing series ever.

I'd ask what happened in the finale. But, BBC America hasn't aired it yet and I want to be surprised.
If my count is right, we get episode 6 this week.
Omfg it was so amazing.
Annie and Mitchell <3
Sasha was amazing too.
Im enjoying the Syfy version a bit more now, Glad it got renewed for a second season![]()
i have no idea what they are going to do for the uk 4th series but i cant wait.
Its probably only me, but did anyone else want George to come through the door in the Syfy Dog eat dog ep and Shout
WHO WANT'S SOME OF MY CHAIR lol
I like the BBC version of the show, the American version---not so much, but its ok. To be honest, the only reason I watch the American version is because I think that the 2 guys who star in it are nice looking and I get to see them partially nude every once in a while. The BBC version is darker and definitely more fun to watch.
Interesting that SyFy renewed the American version for a second season. At one point they went way down in the Neilsen ratings and I didn't think they'd make it. Still, you have to take what SyFy says with a grain of salt. They have a habit of launching (bad and unoriginal) original programming that clashes with the viewing interests of their core audience. Except for Ghost Hunters and a couple outer space-type sci-fi series, most of their original shows have been bombs that didn't make it past the first season or two before being canceled. Not to mention those truly awful CGI monster movies they produce now and then. This is the reason so much of their content is second run stuff (i.e. older Hollywood movies and series/shows that were previously aired on bigger sister stations in the old NBC group, and re-runs of series that were piloted on CBS and Fox and were subsequently canceled). Now that Comcast has taken over the NBC network it may very well change the programming lineup on SyFy, regardless of what the current management at SyFy is saying.
The thing about 'canned' studio productions like Being Human is that they cost a lot of $$$ to make. The American networks will not keep them on the air if the ratings aren't high enough for them to generate enough advertising revenue to keep the show in production and make a profit. From the link to the article about the Being Human renewal it appears that SyFy still doesn't understand who its audience is and that they are about to make the same mistake yet again. According to the article, its mostly women who watch Being Human. They're calling this a skew because its mostly men within a certain age range who watch all the other programming on SyFy, and its specifically those men that advertisers whose spots are showing up during the Being Human commercial breaks are trying to target. They're not going to keep paying top dollar to advertise on a show that the majority of the people they're trying to sell their products to don't watch.
Being Human belongs on NBC, not SyFy. But Comcast will not put it there because they know it would get clobbered by heavy competition on the other networks in the ratings war. This is why I don't see much of a future for this show---even if they make it to the end of season 2. It was a mistake to copy the BBC template of this series. The undertones are just too emotional and sappy for SyFy. Its definitely a chick show, and that's why women love it so much. SyFy should have created their own kick-ass vampire action series---without the melodrama and a wee bit more testosterone. That would have been a win-win all around.
Some stuff. I still don't think they've announced an exact premiere date for UK Series 4 other than "early 2012" but they've started releasing some promo stuff.
Nina and George will be out.
This is the new lead cast (fuck yeah Michael Socha!):
And this is the "prequel" for Hal, the new vampire (back in 1955) holding a werewolf named Leo captive. I like that he seems different from Mitchell. He's pretty cute, too.
And this is the teaser for S2 of the Syfy/American Being Human:
I love both the original Being Human, and the American version. I actually look at them as being two entirely separate shows altogether. I'm not one to compare good things.
I prefer the American show a little more because it's so... well... gay. There is a ridiculous amount of sexual tension between Aidan and Josh.
I may have exaggerated on the, "ridiculous," but what I was trying to get at was the chemistry between them. I haven't seen such good casting since Sam and Dean from Supernatural.
Series 4 trailer for UK version.
Air date = early Feb 2012.
Watched the Series 4 premiere of the BBC verison.
So depressing. George. ;__;
The new season started out awesome. The british series writers are fuckin brilliant. Tom is such a bad-ass werewolf. He's so different from George since McNair trained him to be an amazing fighter.
^ I agree you guys. I didn't want to get ahead of myself but after S4 ep2 I think the UK series is doing just fine with the new characters. I'm enjoying it so much. And the new dynamic is great.
Annie continues to be awesome. And hilarious. I absolutely love Hal, so neurotic and intense and vulnerable. Strange mix. He is so unlike Mitchell--he's much more endearing. Tom is so mysterious and, yes, badass. George's whining really did grate at times so that is a welcome change.
Dunno how the writers are pulling it off. It's like an awesome reboot but not really. A+
p.s. I had to stop watching the Syfy/American version, this season is too cheesy so far. I dunno. Might stop watching it all together. But Sam Witwer and Sam Huntington are so hot. *conflicted*
I watched episode 2 of series 4 last night and loved every minute of itcant wait for the rest of the series,
I think Hal and Tom were brilliant and Annie was fantastic as always . Also Leo and Pearl were amazing,
I love this show, but I'm having a little trouble making the transition from Mitchell to Hal. I have no problem with Tom--Michael Socha is fit as fuck! It's just that Mitchell's character seemed much more dynamic than Hal appears to be. Then again, I had three seasons of Mitchell, and this is only Hal's second appearance. I can be patient.
Now I may be a little slower on the uptake than the rest of you, but I was a little thrown when I realized that Michael Socha was related to Lauren Socha from my other fave show, Misfits. I was focusing on his face and how something about it seemed familiar, and then I began noticing his accent--and WHAM! I saw Kelley in my mind's eye. It's cool to know that playing awesome characters runs in the family.

I am a major fan of the U.K version of Being Human and I just wanted to know what did you think of how they handled the departures of george and nina
young wild free
Initially I would have preferred a scene involving Nina's demise. Now after episode 2 I have changed my mind. The show has basically pulled everything into the future and is doing well. I enjoyed the new "trinity" and their dynamic. Annie remains great. And Im glad Tom is there. Someone learning about life and not fearing it. As for George, he was heroic and dramatic. Good enough for me.
