It's not really a cartoon, but a 'provocative' painting that was removed from a university building after one of the staff had complained about it. Saat Kuleshi supposedly means 'clock tower' and also refers to the Turkish man's penis.

I have been unable to find any evidence that the NRA has changed its position on armed guards in the schools, In fact, Wayne LaPierre re-iterated that position only yesterday.

I don't think independent minded people turn to one party or another on any issue, as if to say the Republican party invented gun rights advocates. It's the other way around. Fidelity to sets of ideas is silly, but that is not the same as affiliation. Does either one own a monopoly on the truth? Isn't that exceedingly and statistically unlikely?
