Re: The Political Cartoon Thread
You people seem to have an awfully ONE-Sided sense
of what is\is not considered ironic or sardonic humour,
or even funny.
---------------------------------------
Dear Employees:
As the CEO of this organization, I have resigned myself to
the fact that Barrack Obama is our President and that our
taxes and government fees will increase in a BIG way. To
compensate for these increases, our prices would have to
increase by about 10%.
But since we cannot increase our prices right now due to
the dismal state of the economy, we will have to lay off
sixty {60} of our employees instead.
This has really been bothering me since I believe we are
family here and I didn't know how to choose who would
have to go.
So, this is what I did. I walked through our parking lots
and found some sixty [60} 'Obama' bumper stickers on
employees' cars and have decided these folks will be the
ones to let go.
I can't think of a more fair or Democratic way to approach
this problem. They voted for change......I gave it to them.
I will see the rest of you at the annual company picnic.
.

Sanitary napkin what?
Lefty, I'm sorry but you and I are approaching the age of being six years older than dirt.
What does that make us in the Gay Community?
Around 32?

He can't hear you.
People like you and I ONLY own the bars that they besmirch because we tossed their drunken fag hags out on the streets for being hopeless.

This thread is actually kind of a "time capsule."
Go back to the very beginning and read it from the first post.
The cartoons and commentary will walk each of us through the past several years of American, and World politics.
Your personally commentary, though sometimes pungent, is no less welcome.

Like the first time I ever left Texas and was playing "softball" with an inter racial team in California.
I hollard over "Hey Boy! Through me that ball!"
The "boy" happened to be "African American," and he asked "Who are you calling boy, BOY?"

It's kinda like being from the South; some folks will find any offence, chew on it until there's no flavor left in it, then stick it in their hair to remind them of what they're supposed to be pissed off about.

Referring to others as "you people"... well basically in American ENGLISH is rude and condescending. And no, centex... this has nothing to do with someone else's age. I'm not that young. As far as sex, I'm sure I have more of that then Lefty.

That is pretty nasty Mr Foreign National. As to having sex, you have more THEN Lefty?

Wow. I didn't know this was a grammar class. I'm sorry I made one minor typo. I sometimes do that when I'm in a rush typing up posts. I am BUSY doing other things. Oh by the way, smart one... I am a US Citizen. So what was that about being a foreign national? For someone trying to be humorous, you sure have your undies in a bunch.
And as far as insulting my intelligence, pot calling the kettle black? Your grammar is absolutely horrendous. Your sentence structure is a total disaster. At any rate...
Where did I ever say I was a victim? I paid for my education. Paid off my loans completely one year after being done with university. I paid them throughout even when I was getting my education. Why are you bringing up my education now? Your years of "practical experience" don't seem to be showing that well here.
And neither are those impeccable manners. You come off as a confrontational xenophobe.
Some words of the wise: Post political cartoons in a political cartoon thread. Not diatribes on why you hate my guts.

Post political cartoons in a political cartoon thread. Not diatribes on why you hate my guts.
Impressions of a victim were based on numerous posts you have made in the past...
Now, as far as manners go, I remember our first contact in the 'What music are you
listening to thread.' You launched a vituperative attack on me and my taste/choices
in music. Going so far as to demand I shut up and quit posting there as I recall. Fairly
confident that Belamo and a few others can verify that. Previously you have told me
(more or less) I am everything from a tasteless loud mouthed rube to a prejudiced Redneck. now I am a confrontational xenophobe. Okay, that is interesting. I would be
curious to see the documentation that led you to draw such conclusions Or were you
implying I was addicted to the 1987 Bally Arcade Game? In 1987, I was a working supervisor for Delta Air, handling International and First Class/Medaallion passengers for
DL and contractees. Where were you?
I don't have time or the inclination to hate you. Often, your postings have been a source
of levity to some of us. Speaking of levity, that 'story', the one I shared was sent to
me by a frequent posting JUBBER, Democrat and serious participant in the CE & P forum. He thought it was funny.
I'm in the mood for verbal cartoons today (as evidenced by my reading your posts ...so,

A guy was telling his buddy, you won't believe what happened last night...
My daughter walked into the living room and said "Dad, cancel my allowance
immediately, forget the college tuition, rent my room out, throw all my clothes
out the window; take my TV, and my laptop.
Please take any of my jewelry to the Salvation Army or Cash Converters.
Then sell my car, take my front door key away from me and
throw me out of the house.
Then disown me and never talk to me again.
And don't forget to write me out of your will and
leave my share to any one that wants it."
"Holy shit", replied the friend, "she actually said that?"
Well, she didn't put it quite like that, she actually said...
"Dad, meet my new boyfriend - Mohammed.
We're going to work together on President Obama's reelection campaign."

It's in my profile. You choose to read what I post in my profile page. I don't post it in every post, nor do I bring it up. I didn't realize that the only American citizens are white. You can rip whatever you want out of my profile, but it's your choice to go in there. You are extremely confrontational and a very angry person. Keep the anger to yourself. You can insult me and my background all you want. I don't care for your history of who you worked for. It's not my business.
You are not in a position to attack my credibility or life experience.
As far as your music tastes... I didn't do such a thing. That thread is a free for all. Anyone can post any kind of music they want in that. Post whatever the heck you want. It's not my business.

HMMM, I am an American Citizen. I am mostly white I guess. Got some AmerInd and Mex and Hisp too.
My Celt ancesters were somewhat lax in who they gifted with child. Their progeny were also as uninhibited
as they were prolific...some even got married. My family tree is eclectic, very American and multi ethnic.
Your silly racist White American statement confuses me. I believe /us law requires the POTUS to be an
American by birth (silly rule butt) Your implication is Obama is either white or not the POTUS. I must surrender
to your convoluted butt educated conclusion. As far as attacking your personal educational back ground, I dasn't do that.
3 of my cousins are tenured professors in the UC system in SoCal. If the others down there are as bright and as
articulate the background is what is Awesome. That ANKH is an international symbol for Peace, hardly insulting.
Perhaps you should partake of your own advice. Cool your jets...or nobody will ever want you....

Then why the remark calling me a foreign national when I am in fact an American citizen? You said it. I didn't. I don't care for your family tree. This isn't the thread for it.

Oh yea? Where did I say that? Do you know what irony is? I guess not. I was being IRONIC and a bit cynical with that statement. I didn't make that implication. You just did though.

Yes you did. You wouldn't have quoted it from my profile if you didn't have some agenda. I don't care about your cousins. Again that's not my business.

BTW, I can trace My People and My American heritage back to before my state was a state.
Anyway, this farce has gone on long enough. One last note and lets give the thread back to
the forum...
Where did I say anything being a "Latino American" Citizen? What is a "Latino American" citizen? You're just being ridiculous. I don't bring up my education in threads. It's in my profile. If you want to read my profile, go ahead. But I am not bringing it up in any of these threads.
Epic fail? Your posts are a complete epic fail. The fact you can't pick up on basic irony just proves my point.
My comment about American citizens being only white was based on something you wrote. The question was more ironic. So there was nothing "specious" there... only a MAJOR reading comprehension FAILURE on your part. For someone who invests so greatly into grammar, you need to brush up on reading.

Queen's Riddle
Barack Obama met with the Queen of England.
He asked her, "Your Majesty, how do you run such an efficient government? Are there any tips you can give me?"
"Well," said the Queen, "the most important thing is to surround yourself with intelligent people."
Obama frowned, and then asked, "But how do I know the people around are really intelligent?"
The Queen took a sip of tea. "Oh, that's easy; you just ask them to answer an intelligent riddle."
The Queen pushed a button on her intercom.
"Please send Tony Blair in here, would you?"
Tony Blair walked into the room and said, "Yes, Your Majesty?"
The Queen smiled and said, "Answer me this please, Tony. Your mother and father have a child.
It is not your brother and it is not your sister. Who is it?"
Without pausing for a moment, Tony Blair answered, "That would be me."
"Yes! Very good," said the Queen.
Obama went back home to ask Joe Biden the same question. "Joe, answer this for me. Your mother and your father have a child. It's not your brother and it's not your sister. Who is it?"
"I'm not sure," said Biden. "Let me get back to you on that one." He went to his advisors and asked everyone, but none could give him an answer.
Finally, Biden ran in to Sarah Palin out eating one night. Biden asked, "Sarah, can you answer this for me? Your mother and father have a child and it's not your brother or your sister. Who is it?"
Sarah Palin answered right back, "That's easy, it's me!"
Biden smiled, and said, "Thanks!" Then, he went back to speak with Obama. "Say, I did some research and I have the answer to that riddle. It's Sarah Palin!"
Obama got up, stomped over to Biden, and angrily yelled into his face, "No! You idiot! It's Tony Blair!"
AND THAT IS PRECISELY WHAT'S GOING ON AT THE WHITE HOUSE.
