I usually throw on my bathrobe and a throw...and I did have a very cold camping experience this spring with some friends...IT WAS NOT WARM AT ALL!

I have a question....

Having never been to boystown, whats it like? I know its mostly gay but what's there to do? I'm deciding whether or not to go soon.

I think there's something for everybody. Aside from the restaurants and Centre on Halsted, most places are 21+.

Some places are more clique-ish. Some are for the under-25 crowd. Some for the cross-dressers. Some for the promiscuous.

What are you in to? Perhaps I can recommend a place.

But since I'm only 19 I guess I'll stick to restaurants and places to eat or other places for under 21

sadly there isnt much to do for gay teens in boystown. its one of the critiques of the community and also why the center on halsted was built. the gay community is changing everywhere, gettin younger and younger. our community institutions need to reflect that.

the center on halsted hosts lots of interesting groups. one of my friends goes to a gay latino literary circle. another attends a dance group i believe.

as for roaming the streets, i wouldnt encourage it. another critique is that the local police seems to pounce on loitering (add young and of color to the mix and ur guaranteed an encounter with the police).
