Yes, if Tim tebow comes in package
I loathe it

Tim Tebow s a good looking guy but him being associated wth that awful organization just made not fantasize over him ever again.
I knew there was something about him that rubbed me the wrong way, not only as a Tide fan, but as a gay man. He needs a kick in the head (and I'm usually not one to advocate violence). Until then, this will do:
My Twitter: @WesFromAL
I prefer the Tom Brady, or that other guy who I think is cute... and then there's that other guy.
In all seriousness I agree with you. When you really dig deep American Football is probably the most homoerotic sport minus wrestling in my opinion. Big muscle guys in spandex running arund the field trying to tackle each other and then patting each other on the ass for a job well done.
While sports like swimming, diving, and tennis may seem less masculine I would say that Football and wrestling are more homoerotic, which some could argue makes them more gay!
Just my two cents!
The title of this thread is misleading. From the description given in the article, the ad is not anti-gay, but rather it seems that it may be an anti-abortion ad. But for the fact that his mother decided not to have an abortion, Tim Tebow would not be alive today playing pro football. That's the message that they're trying to put across. I'm sure the ad will turn up on YouTube eventually. Let's wait to see what's in the ad before we pass judgement.
I think the bit about him writing Bible verses on his forehead comes from Deuteromy 11:18:
Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds;
tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
His father is a Christian minister. Supposedly Tim is a devout Christian. Since he did not enter the ministry like his father did, but instead, chose to become a pro football player, when the tv cameras focus on him, it's his way of sharing the gospel. Sometimes he writes verses on the tape underneath his eyes. I read somewhere that he hopes that when people read the verses that they will look it up to see what it says. Some people have gotten mad at him for doing this, but others have found encouragment.
I don't see anything wrong with it... It would be different if it was Tiger Woods playing golf with verses written on his shirt, while cavorting with waitresses and pornstars...
=============================
This is the announcement from the website of Focus on the Family:
Colorado Springs, Colo (Friday, Jan. 15, 2010) – Focus on the Family will broadcast the first Super Bowl ad in its history February 7 during CBS Sports' coverage of the game at Dolphin Stadium in South Florida.
The 30-second spot from the international family-help organization will feature college football star Tim Tebow and his mother, Pam. They will share a personal story centered on the theme of "Celebrate Family, Celebrate Life."
Jim Daly, president and CEO of Focus on the Family, said the chance to partner with the Tebows and lift up a meaningful message about family and life comes at the right moment in the culture, because "families need to be inspired."
"Tim and Pam share our respect for life and our passion for helping families thrive," Daly said. "They live what we see every day – that the desire for family closeness is written on the hearts of every generation. Focus on the Family is about nurturing that desire and strengthening families by empowering them with the tools they need to live lives rooted in morals and values."
Daly added that all the funds to air the ad came from a handful of "very generous and committed friends" who donated specifically to support the project. No money from the ministry's general fund was used.
The Tebows said they agreed to appear in the commercial because the issue of life is one they feel very strongly about.
Daly chuckled at some of the "will-they-or-won't-they?" speculation in the media about whether Focus would indeed create a Super Bowl ad.
"Now that the ad has been shot, we're excited to tell people it's coming, because the Tebows' story is such an important one for our culture to hear," he said. "You won't want to miss it."
While I would rather they didn't exist at all, I'd much rather they blow 5 million dollars on two commercial spots that won't do a damned thing to change a woman's mind about abortion than spend it on keeping more people on staff. Hopefully it's a sign that they're in serious organizational trouble and won't be around much longer.
And yet there are still gays online who will want to bury their faces in his buffalo ass.
figure skating is probably the gayest sport- go Miss Weir and Miss Lysachek, but I agree football is the most homoerotic- and thus, most homophobic
one difference- the NFL would never accept an ad from a gay group- no matter how much money they agreed to pay...BOYCOTT!!!!
Ephesians 2:8-10 (New International Version)
8For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9not by works, so that no one can boast. 10For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
"Cryin' won't help ya
Prayin' won't do you no good..."
as far as i know this tebow guy has little or nothing to do with my life or gayness. i'm more concerned with my elected officials and their indifference.

I'm sure Tim is straight as an arrow, probably in every respect, but here is the real pity: by all accounts he has had a tremendous influence on his roommate of several years, Riley Cooper (#11 WR for the Gators). Riley is so fucking hot he makes my teeth sweat; he makes Tebow look like a witch with a wart on her nose. If Riley is a virgin because of Tebow, it is the biggest waste of gorgeousness I have ever witnessed. No man or woman should be deprived of any opportunity to sleep with that fox.
i have to say that what i've read i don't get the impression that the ad itself will be anti-gay but more pro-choice.
regardless if this organization would rather blow their wad on a couple of ads during the superbowl while letting staff go left and right? well that tells me their house isn't in order. and i don't think that's such a bad thing.
Whats with all these bible thumping, southern college quarterbacks? Wasn't there a recent thread congratulating another "devoted" college quarterback (McCoy?) for getting engaged? Why do I have a feeling that it's only a matter of time before some holier than thou sports figure will be found toe tapping in a men's room? It doesn't appear that this commercial is directed at gays per se, but let's face it, the association with Dobson's hateful group is far from flattering.... And not that I really noticebut imho god gave Tebow the sorriest butt of any college quaterback.
.
case in point but this knucklehead is advocating against us

>>>A mani wouldn't hurt but if thats too "miss thang" he could at least trim the buggers.
I seem to recall quarterbacks preferring longer fingernails as it helped them dig into the ball while scrambling. But that was back in the 80s.
Lex
I like his new under eye wear paint....
Christ.
Once I saw the picture of Tim Tebow,
I have to say that abortion would have been an option.
What a mutt.
Spring is back....
tebow fucked me in the stall of a church bathroom
.........& I care what this QB Tebow person thinks because.........????????????????.........
Possible bad move for his football career endorsements.
Nice young man but obviously misguided
Tim Tebow is a tool of the religious right-freaks. He has had a personal relations firm handling his public persona since he was in the 9th grade. His parents are religious frauds who make a glamorous living off the backs of the poor who support their ministry. It is a damned shame that many can not or will not see through the Tebow sham....glad as hell to see the piece of shit cry like the little girl he is.....cry on Timmy Sue....
He is hot...but I am not suprised!
The bigger they are the harder they fall ... for all his self righteousness Tebow will, much like Tiger Woods, stumble somewhere along the way and he'll then find out that there is an entire world out here that doesn't revolve around over paid ego driven athletes ...
Such a shame, seeing a perfectly hot young talent go wrong...

I know a lot of gay people are willing to ignore anything about guys they think are hot, even if they are racist, sexist, assholes, etc. But I find Tebow completely unattractive after learning he is a conservative Christian who is working with the notoriously anti-gay Focus on Family and their anti-abortion campaign.
The anti-abortion part doesn't bother me at all, indeed I'm very sympathetic. His mother chose to have him despite being in a tough personal; situation.Being against,or deeply ambivalent regarding most instances of abortion is very ethically defensible. It's the anti gay part of Focus on the Family, which is indeed a major cog in their agenda, that's indefensible on all grounds and would be the reason I was appalled by the commercial. The hypocrisy of the group is contemptible, and it is commmon with most of the social conservative organizations to sour their so-called Christian values with the acidic vinegar of bigotry and intolerance.
Amazing things ahead for the Mets ....hosts of the MLB All Star Game in 2013
^Yea but every woman is not his mother and should be able to choose what to do if they become pregnant. Just like his mother was able to make a choice to keep her pregnancy. His mother and him want to take away other women's freedom. And that's not right. It's kinda selfish for you to only care about Focus on Family's issues that concern gay people and not care about how they oppress another minority group. It's like you're saying oppressing women who get pregnant is ok but oppressing gay people is bad just because you are a gay person.
anything that draws attention to and makes money for Focus on the Family- even their anti abortion wing, will be used against us ultimately- in their anti gay wing/ads/campaigns...The Advocate has been running this story for weeks and boycotts of CBS and the Superbowl have been called for- they- CBS refused to run moveon.org ads- saying they were controversial, but will run these- total hypocrisy!
His view I disagree with.
There is always angry sex, plus it's pretty hot thinking about corrupting the innocent little church boy.![]()
Does he really have a bible verse on his face?
Can I vomit now?
I really normally take nothing to heart anymore because of my indifference and being desensitized to everything
What's strange is I was going to have a bible verse tattooed on me.. Totally different cuz that shiz was about to be permanent.
Just the idea that he is using it to create trauma by dividing people with their differences truly disgusts me.
Back to the drawing board for me
I cannot lie, after saying of that I must admit... dear God he is hot as all hell. Please let me him be a repressed homosexual.
THAT is the real "virgin" reason.
I'd still fuck is pro-life ass
