Bitching about people who like David wasn't the main issue here. It was about a 'challenge' of a certain JUB member to cross a very fine line in posting photos which, according to the JUB rules, were not legal to be posted. From the looks of things, he will continue to challenge the rules. . . and he will lose.

I don't expect it to happen, but I hope people will pay attention, behave, and stick to this thread with their need for Archuleta. I think he's an okay singer, but nothing that makes me want to go back and listen over and over.

He looks like someone I used to go to school with...in our freshman year of high school. When he got older, he actually looked older. I don't have a problem with people looking young, but I can't think of someone who looks 14 in the ways of "I'd do him" or whatever else. If I'm going to think of someone that way, I'd prefer they at least look 18.

Hnnnn, don't know if it's a 'haters' of under 30 crowd so much as it is an aversion to getting the site or a particular thread closed down due to UA images or the whole creepy looking-like-a-child, neo pedophilia thing. Same shit with the 'Lolita' crap on straight forums. Makes my skin crawl.

I've spent more time in the last 3 days dealing with PRs and PMs about David Archuleta threads than any other topic. Yes he is now 18, and yes you can post images or videos taken of him after he turned 18.

Does he look 18? Well he certainly doesn't look 14 or 15 to me.

Is it wrong that there are people lusting after him? Well if you're in your late teens/early 20s, his age group is going to be within the range that you would probably find attractive. It would however be wrong if people start posting that they like him because they think he looks like he's 14!!!

There are tens of thousands of other people here on JUB, and thousands of threads where everyone else plays in the sandpit quite happily. My time spent on dealing with Archie has been disproportionate to the rest of the board and the general day to day maintenance - and this can't continue

If I have to add him to the Banned Content list for a while because certain people can't share the sandpit nicely, then trust me, I will.

I think it depends in which situation you see him. Certainly in AI he looked like a 12yr old 17yr old, however I don't think that in the NYE video he looks 14! Having worked with 7-19yr olds for the past 20 yrs, I can safely say that there are people in their early teens that look like they're in their late teens, and vice versa.

I'm not sure why we have such a frenzy over this guy - it was certainly not as bad as this with Zac Efron.

At the moment I'm trying not to supress member's freedom - however I can quite easily refer to the CoC rule #2 and ban all images based on the fact that he appears to be under 18 - even though he no longer is.
