Re: SWERVE'S Travel Thread -- A VIRTUAL Ride-along
T. what a fantastic thread this is. long may it live.
i have a small thought or suggestion - what about speaking with the mods or administrators or Seth about making this thread a yellow sticky so it can be constantely updated and wond get lost with the other threads?
thanks so much for your fine efforts. have a good trip.
There's also a google groups site of roadgeeks that talk about whatever. And they get WAY bitchier than JUBbers do. Wanna see some hardcore flaming? Go visit http://groups.google.com/group/misc....rt.road/topics.

hee hee that first video. I heard "6 miles of a 6 percent downgrade" and I instantly thought "ooo that's 6 miles of a 6 percent upgrade the other direction" good climbing training on the bike

T. thanks for the great video of the Roosevelt National Park. that was really fascinating. what and unusal landscape it is. your analogy of it looking like the moon was a good.
keep up the good work and enjoy the rest of the week. where are you off to next after No. Dakota?
only place i have ever stayed in No. Dakota was Fargo and it was dreadful. mid august and it was hot and HUMID and bugs and flies everywhere. i lasted three days there and made an excuse to leave the people i was visiting. i drove over six hundred miles to get out of the Dakotas as fast as i could.

I JUST finished delivering up here in the middle of nowhere in Northern Wisconsin...
My NEXT trip brings me to Portland, OR...
I'm not sure I'll be able to get a lot of video however, since it is going to be HEAVY and require MUCH MORE concentration than my last 2 trips did...
OH...
And I INTENTIONALLY did NOT video FARGO -- because I was TRYING to avoid stirring up those NEGATIVE memories for you...
There's NOT MUCH to see there anyways...

Great clips....thanks for putting all of these together. I will keep watching.
(thank you eM for letting me know about this clip. )
Thank goodness the definition of marriage does change over time. Women were originally thought of as property and marriage was originally about an exchange of property.
Re: SWERVE'S Travel Thread -- A VIRTUAL Ride-along
Swerve, I had a great time yesterday!
It was fun having you tag along on the Forest Grove round trip, and you got to see a sorta typical "day in the life of a bus operator" (or a few hours of the day, anyways).
The (alcohol-less, for me) happy hour was fun too. I only wish I could unwind like that everyday with you.
Can't wait to see you again, and keep the vid's coming!
Re: SWERVE'S Travel Thread -- A VIRTUAL Ride-along
Neat new addition to your collection dude!
Was nice to switch it up and have something totally different - and with another JUBber too!
It'd be nice if the bus services here had an automatic voice machine that lets you know what stop you're at.. instead you gotta just know where you're going to! Thankfully the tube tells you where you, and what the next stop is in advance!
So where's next!?!
