I dunno. I have to watch the episode again, but my feeling is that this show has really 'gone off the rails' a bit.

The scenes with Bill and that bitchy... I can't even remember her name, the 'new' vampire Bill just 'made' were downright silly. Really broke the tone of the show for me....

Too many story lines going in too many directions. I'm not even sure what Alan Ball has to do with all of this, he's not written a thing in 10 episodes.

But, I think I've figured out who the murderer is....

I think Alan Ball knows exactly where he wants the series to go.

At several times this past episode, I caught myself with my mouth open. Like when they showed the dinner table, I knew Amy was done for (and especially after the killer walked in, obviously.)

The symbolism between SFU and TB are kind of similar, but at the same time different. Thinking about it, I loved how Amy flew up in the air during their trip on V, signifying she really is gone "in the air."

It's the smaller details in the show that I love, and will continue to watch it

Also, I don't think Sookie is a bitch. Bill made it quite evident from the second episode that if she was in trouble, he'd be there ASAP. It's a sense of security that has been made evident since then, and then all of a sudden she was attacked at the bar and he didn't show up. Just emotion being shown between the characters, imho

Tara and her mother's scene was powerful. I agree that I'd never talk to my own mother that way, but after what Tara's been through, it seems normal.

Mary Ann....hmmm....why did she run Tara off the road in the first place?

Tara's mamma should be ashamed of herself, that girl pratically kept her shell of a body alive until she could finally fix herself. I've been traveling a lot for the last two months and have only seen a few episodes.

I think I have the storyline pretty straight (though I don't think I saw the gay vampire.)

At the end of episode 2 or 3 some vampirephobes burned down Bill's house when he wasn't there, but other vampires had gone in there the night before to rest.

Did they die permanently in the fire and were there any repercussions from that?

IMO, I think that we may be reacting to a 'misdirect' in thinking that Rene is the killer.

Yes, that's definitely him in the fax photo. But, that doesn't mean he's the one. The 'pie guy' in the diner said that there was no evidence that he killed his sister, and the cop at the station looked like he couldn't find his ass with both hands.

It's conceivable that he was so upset over the murder of his sister that he moved to a different town and changed his name.

But, who knows ?

And as for Tara... WTF ? Is that a fancy whorehouse she's been taken to ? How would the cops not know about that place ?

Ok...after the last episode, the characters and show are getting a little less likable. For the following reasons:

Sookie - Little bratty bitch who doesn't get her way. She knew that Bill killed the vampire, why can't she understand that he has to go and take care of the consequences of that? Just one episode ago you were crying and sobbing because you thought he was dead.

Bill - The whole storyline with the new vampire girl is just plain annoying. I wanted to reach through the TV and bitch slap that girl.

Jason/Killer Storyline - Been dragging on all season without a clue of who is doing all of this. Better provide closure into who killed the girls and grandma in the finale. If HBO leaves this storyline as a cliff hanger for next season, I will be pissed.
