The death of Spock.
The death of Captain Kirk...
oh wait... that never happened...
and even if it did... it would not have been sad![]()
Tasha is the only death I remember, and I was really upset about it.
Recently I heard a 'wise guy' story that I had a party at my home for twenty-five men. It's an interesting story, but I don't know twenty-five men I'd want to invite to a party. ~Joan Crawford
Jadzia. She was so full of life, and she was pregnant. So sad.![]()
Data
I was so surprised they killed him off.
War, War never changes...
I didn't like Ezri.
She was too eager to please everyone.
I loved Bashir.
Jadzia was my favourite, I was devastated when she died. It kills me to this day that she was replaced by Ezri.
Next is Data, in the end the best of the human qualities that he had been striving for caused him to die. A poetic ending to his character.
OMG. I completely forgot about Data dying in Nemesis.
That was sad.
I was shocked, but with the last scene you could hope that Data planned for his death and hoped to live on through his brother in some way. A better scenario would have B4 developing to be on the same functional level as Data and Lore, learning from them, and modeling his life after Data while having his own identity. But then Star Fleet Command would probably prefer a complete reboot and download to get the old Data back and not have to fuss with an infantile android.
For me, it was the death of Spock. Even as he approached death, he maintained his dignity, even though it was accidental. When Nimoy stood up, as often happened with those uniforms, his jacket had ridden up and he he tugged tugged it back down. Fortunately, it came across as Spock being nothing more than a proper Star Fleet officer.
spock.
granted he came back but his death was noble and even now when i watch those scenes i still get all teary eyed. for that matter whenever i hear 'amazing grace' i get all sad.
In the TNG episode The Inner Light, when Helene dies.

Am I the only person on earth who isn't interested in star trek, star wars, battlestar galactica, etc? I feel like an outcast sometimes because of that.
My jaw hit the floor when Data saves Picard and the Enterprise. I couldn't believe what I had just seen. I was very very very sad but then again, the other android with all his memories and experiences might fill the spot nicely.
Ensign nameless red shirt
I think it was sad when "One" died
"you are hurting me"
"you will adapt"
Tasha's death was unexpected
I never have and never will see anything Star Wars. I've seen enough parody's to know that it's boring and all the major plot elements.
The Borg will always be superior![]()
Ensign Hawk. They introduce a hot new character on screen and he gets assimilated in 5 minutes.![]()
The Borg would assimilate your 'star wars' in a matter of hours.
Wasn't "the empire" brought down by ewoks? if fuzzy little koala-racoons can bring down siths then the Borg would find your kind...easy.
Besides:
Ours moves at transwarp speeds across the galaxy. Your 'deathstar' is staionary![]()
To me, the saddest ST death was actually the death of the half-Klingon woman who was hooking up with Whorf, and who bore his son (Alexander).
The second saddest was the off-screen death of Picard's brother (I think) and his nephew, Robert, which meant that Picard was the last of his line. (This was in one of the movies).
I thought Tasha Yar's death was kind of dumb (and later, she did too).
I bet Brent Spiner enjoyed Data getting killed, although he was certainly killed in a way in which he could be conveniently resurrected later if they wanted them.
I sort of rooted when they finally killed Kirk.I felt that character was so bloated with cheese....
Hey, When is that animated Star Wars: Clone Wars movie coming out?
that guy who got sucked out of the ship in Nemesis. wasn't sad but he was nice.
Data dying was sad.![]()
Poor Data![]()
Lt. Tomlinson from the Original series episode Balance of Terror
Not one single vote for Kirk yet, and the android is ahead of the Vulcan 2 to 1.
Pups! Mere pups I tell you!
The saddest ST death will always be Edith Keeler, the woman who died so that the future could live. Kirk had fallen in love with her, and then had to make sure that she died. One of the few times I almost cried....
[Does it make me a big geek that I remembered the character name before the actress'?]

Isn't it weird that those that condemn others for being intolerant are usually the most intolerant themselves?
My How to Write Blog
Data's death was very sad. I was a little angry at that.
Dax's death was bad too, mostly because of the symbiant host that replaced her. Ugh...
Although he never did...i always wanted Barkley to die...especially when they brought him on VOY ugh
How could I forget One.I think it was sad when "One" died
"you are hurting me"
"you will adapt"That was tragic!
Tasha Yar's death was the stupidest. Killed by an oil slick.I sort of rooted when they finally killed Kirk. I felt that character was so bloated with cheese....
God, you're so cold! That's okay, I don't like either of them anyway.
Can you explain to me just how two sith can defeat millions of Borg drones? The sith's resistance is futile. They will be assimilated!Pshaww!
The Sith would kick the Borg's collective ass. And the Jedi masters? Strike them down and they will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine.

well she got help from Belana and Tom's daughter, the Klingon's for that temporal piece of technology, that anti-radiation from the Doctor, help from harry kim to fend off the Klingons.
But comparatively barkley played an insignificant role in getting voyager home. You make it sound like it was ALL him..when it was not. Especially since it was Janeway's idea to hide inside the sphere at the end.
I'm watching "endgame" right now.
Oh and don't call me 'sweetie'....i'm far from it
