Since the restrictions in the banned Cobra titles concern only the parts with Corrigan, and because the scenes therein without Corrigan are also very well done, full of attractive actors, and much more satisfying than about 99,5 % of all the stuff from every other studio: it's high time for a revised rerelease of these three flicks (now without the underaged Corrigan).

I agree, Snapper, except that I'm still not convinced that Corrigan was actually underage when he made those first films for Cobra. I think it was his way of suppressing as much of his bareback work as possible so he could get work with the big studios, and it worked.

I've read many discussions and reports about that thing. The production dates of the questionable Cobra movies are well documented & verified. Further on, Brent Corrigan was preloaded as a witness in the Kocis murder case in 2007 - and his personal datas were examined by the law: his real name, his birthday etc. You can find all these informations in the net.



But I'm no lawyer, no moralizer. My only interest in this matter concerns the quality of certain gayporn productions. And as already written: some Cobra movies are alltime classics for me. Superior to everything I've seen from every other studio up to this day - including the best works of big names from past & present like William Higgins, F a l c o n, Bel Ami, John Travis, Matt Sterling, Cadinot & Co.


What sets these Cobra flicks apart from the rivalry ?

Well, the keyword is simple: naturalness!


Many studios are able to call up an attractive line-up. But most of their films are spoiled by heavy editing: the camera position changes every few seconds. Nearly no longer takes of the faces & feelings of the protagonists.

Not so in the best Cobra movies. One writer in another forum (ATKOL) got already to the heart of the matter some years ago:

The only reason that I have any interest in these Cobra videos is that they actually film real sex. There's no fancy location across the world and no fancy editing. You get to see real sex.

These movies are usually not very strongly edited, you can tell they do the sex scenes with only a few interruptions. When you're watching a F a l c o n etc. movie, you get often like 10-15 or more edits in a scene...

Of course not. As everybody knows: the three listed Cobra titles above (plus one 'Casting Couch' episode with BC) were withdrawn from the market.


And it should be no hard work to pick all the non-Corrigan scenes from these four titles - starring Corey Savage, Shaun Ferrara, Brenden Michael, Cayden Morano & Bailey Bryant (both played also in Cobra's legal 'A Boy's Raw Urges') , Ryann Wakins & Lance Evans (a hot pairing in 'Bareboned Twinks') - and put them together on one or two DVDs for a rerelease.


I don't know the reasons why those scenes were not already published again. Maybe it's a difficult juristic question about the holders of rights. But somebody somewhere surely owns the copyrights of the Cobra work.

And if the heirs of Mr. Kocis are not really interested in these gayporn pearls - they should sell the brand to a serious person who'll care about a diligent rerelease...

If so: he was not only underaged in his two Cobra movies but also in his work for Centaur & All Worlds Video, released in 2004. Since these titles ('Wild Rangers' / 'Ripe') are still on the market - Brenden Michael must be born 1985 or earlier.

I watched this flick yesterday. Corrigan & Lane are still attractive therein. But the action, camera work & editing is far away from Cobra standards and similar disappointing as in 'Porn Ultimatum', 'Porn Identity', 'Heat', 'Summit', 'Big Easy', 'Working Hard', 'Gettin Levis Johnson', 'The Velvet Mafia' etc.

Directors, producers & editors like Chris Steele, Mike Donner, Dink Flamingo & Corrigan himself (the director credits in 'Just The Sex 2' and in some other Dirty Bird titles are given to him) were never a match for the dead Bryan Kocis.

Once I've seen Cameron Lane's superb pairings with Nate Grant and Cody Lockheart in 'Take It Like a Bitch Boy' , or Corrigan's flip-flop with Connor Ashton in 'Cream BBoys' - it is nearly impossible in my opinion to get something good of all their following non-Cobra work.


So - for me - the porn actors Brent Corrigan & Cameron Lane died together with Bryan Kocis in January, 2007...
