I hope its true that she wants to be a tv star now. I will watch it every single week
2013= New Album and a new ******..YES!
Ehhhmmm she's negotiating to have a Las Vegas show for 2 years.
A lot of changes within the last couple of months for Brit-Brit. Her not returning for another season of The X-Factor (), her rumored 2 year+ Las Vegas residency (), and her continued success on the music charts with will.I.am makes this girl the undisputed Princess of Pop.
Being single has never looked better on her, and I'm ready for album #8. Hoping for an album more Velvet Rope and a lot less trip down pop-dustep lane. She's been there, and blazed that trail, already.
The rumors right now are that it won't be a dance album.
I wish Vocalney and hope they will use less vocal effects this time.
^I've been reading that as well, I would like a more personal, vocally driven album too. Not expecting vocal gymnastics but songs like "Everyday" and "Strangest Love" is the over all vibe I would like: introspective lyrics and/or atmospheric music.
The remix for "Scream and Shout" is crazy because it sounds like a mix-tape. Word is all the leading pop stars are trying to stir clear of EDM this time around, here is Britney & co (seemingly ahead of the trend) with this remix.
My favorite Britney song
This is my jam
Ima hit defrost on ya, let's get it blazing
My all time favorite Britney Spears song:
I'm still pissed it wasn't a single. Just a bonus song actually, what a waste!
^Britney has a lot of good songs that were never singles, Amnesia and some reggae song from The Onyx Hotel era (I can't remember the name) come to my mind.
In other news, the Scream And Shout remix was completely lame. Once again I feel like Will.i.Am wasted Britney, he could've have made her sing more. Instead we got 4 rappers (including has-been Diddy and 2 nobodies) cursing for 5 minutes...LAME AND DESPERATE.

In The Zone is also my favorite Britney album. Tied with "Britney" if you count the bonus songs.
But ITZ is probably the era I was the unhappiest about the single choices. Out of all those great songs they picked Me Against The Music as the first single I don't mind it but half of the songs from the album are far better.
The album had a lot of tracks with new sounds and more foreign influences than her earlier albums. For example "Touch Of My Hand", "The Hook Up", "Outrageous", "Toxic" and "Breathe On Me" (this one just screams European hit). I would have loved all of those songs to become singles but just one of them did (Outrageous was semi-released as a radio single though, it wasn't fully released because she broke her leg during the music video shoot and never got to finish it).
I think the problem with the single choices is that her label always wants to play it safe rather than to take risks.

If you are like me and can't bare to watch the S&S remix video from beginning to end then here is a mashup of the original one and the remix one with just the Britney parts:
I've been saying for a while now that she would look younger if she got rid of the over the top blonde hair (she's a natural brunette)...
She looks drop dead goergous there! And OMG that dress!
Classney-Brunettney for era 8 please!
"lipstick on a pig"
Best she's looked in years, love the shade of brown on her.
Love the brunette look.its refreshing.
what am i good at? haha!
She looks amazing!
She looks great. Younger, cuter, and classier. We've been waiting, Britney.
16 - 31...
Usually when she goes brunette she's back to blonde within a month.
It would be nice to see her stick with it for a whole era.
Brunettes can also have fun!

Britney looks beautiful as a brunette. Better than blonde I'd say. The blond only looks good on music videos when she's all made up, but if you see pictures of her walking around her blond hair looks fried and terrible.
^ I thought she looked gorgeous at the premiere of Xfactor even with blond hair.
and then she got those horrible bangs that made her look 10 times older. blergh.

Just saying but...
Broke up with Justin, dyed her hair brown and we got In The Zone
Divorced KFed, dyed her hair black and we got Blackout
Called off engagement with Jason, dyed her hair brown and... her next album will probably be AMAZING
I love how she talks to her dog then it doesn't seem so crazy when I talk to my cat.
Brit-Brit's brief appearance on will.i.am's LiveStream yesterday. I wish she'd do more interviews and not be so press-shy, she's adorable here.
I need "Ooh La La" like yesterday.
Well to be fair she probably suffers from social anxiety since the whole breakdown.
I feel like he kinda dissed her with the whole music video comment. Few people have as much experience as Britney when it comes to shooting (big production) music videos. She's also known for having her hands on things rather than just being told what to do (maybe not this time because she was the featured artist)

She's probably sick of the attention she's gotten over the years. The camera was on this poor girl from her Mickey Mouse club days... She does come across in her interviews lately as trying to build an imaginary wall between her and the interviewer. Can't blame her.
Honestly I think her career is pretty solid and she doesn't need to do all the the shit she did in her early years. Her worst album release (Blackout) still debuted 2nd place in the US and 1st place worldwide despite there being zero promotion. She has a solid fanbase which sticks with her as long as the music continues to be good.
I'm sure she wants to continue being successful but I think unlike some of her fans she doesn't give a shit if she sells less than Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber or whoever else is hot right now.

^^I completely understand and think she is well justified. I was purely talking light hearted interviews, not in depth ones, that show off her personality a little bit more. Her name alone makes her music career lucrative, she still garners attention while doing mundane things, so I agree no need for an onslaught of media attention now. But since she's become this mysterious figure of sorts, it's nice to see the southern valley girl is still present.
If everything goes according to plan, album #8 will truly be her masterpiece. will.i.am is correct: she can't be a sex siren on the dance floor forever, it's time for substance. So glad we have official word on the direction of the album.
I'm excited for this new direction, too. Sure, her dancefloor anthems are catchy, but her truly remarkable songs are the more mature entries in her catalogue, like "Everytime", "Unusual You", and "Why Should I Be Sad". For the first time since In The Zone we'll see a Britney album that actually has heart. This should be good.
Smurfs 2? LOL I have it admit she has the perfect cute voice for it.
I really want a ballad single for the next era it's been so long since we had one. Even if it's just the last single as a treat for her fans.
I hope she writes more. In The Zone is my favorite Brit album.
I love the new song!! It's so bright and happy!! Perfect for summer! I really hope it becomes another hit for her.
It's 38 on Itunes as of 4:07pm PST. It debuted at 7am PST at 450 something I believe
"Ooh La La" is fun, flirty, and catchy. Quintessential pop ear candy, I like. Though kinda meh about the "demo" being no different from the official release, I thought if anything the breakdown would be changed.
I liked her interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning.

Never thought it would be possible to like a Smurf song this much.
I love the video. She looks great. The song has grown on me.
Sorry, I did not like the new song at all.
It's silly and not catchy at all. It sounds like some silly Disney kids's song.
Actually it sounds as silly and lame as this upcoming "Smurfs 2" movie.
But then again, with Britney Spears, I wasn't expecting much from her anyway. Girl has never been known for her vocal power and most of her songs are like auto tune.
Sorry, I didn't meant to offend anybody, especially Britney's fans. This is just my honest opinion but you don't have to agree with me anyway. Sorry.
Well it is for a kids movie, I never had high standards for it anyway. It's supposed to be silly.
Now both Sia and Britney confirmed that they both had a writing session today.
Sia has written these songs
Britney has written these songs herself
I think they both can come up with something AMAZING
You are kidding yourself if you think power-vocalists like Christina, Mariah or Celine don't use autotune.
Plus many producers who have worked with Britney have said she's a good studio vocalist and that she doesn't have to do many takes and they don't have to use a lot of autotune.
You like most people think every single computer vocal effect is "auto tune". Auto tune isn't what gives you that "robotic sound"... plenty of songs sound pretty natural and still have auto tune.
Britney has a sweet voice perfect for pop. It's also unique and one of the most recognizable voices in the world. I don't give a fuck that it's not a powerhouse type of vocals... it would get pretty boring to only listen to those type of vocals.
Plus she has always been pretty honest about what she does and has never tried to come off as something else. Singers like Beyonce and Christina are often pretentious and arrogant while Britney is humble.
