See your point…..and definitely agree that the 2 would be wrong as a couple. Personally think a lot of the movie is missed cast and it is only getting worse…Frasier dude as Beast?! Obviously casted by the studio for $ and not for what would be right.

I don't think a recast should happen, just another actress should have been cast from the very beginning, is what I meant. (Having Rogue minus Ms. Marvel's powers is understandable within the context of these films, so I have no problems there.) Anna just isn't Rogue, I just see an actress with a white streak running through her hair trying to be her and failing; very much like how Halle Berry doesn't really do the role of Strom justice. Even if she was (re)written to be the sassy & fiery Southern belle of the comics, I don't think Paquin would pull it off. The scene in X2 where she "threatens" Magneto, by removing her a glove after he makes a joke about her hair, made me laugh. Bottom line: I think she's a good actress but not right as Rogue.

Also assuming Channing Tatum is going to be cast as Gambit in the next installment, I can't imagine him having intense chemistry with Paquin's Rogue. Assuming his sole purpose is to be her new love interest, of course.

Definitely agree on all terms...also see the point of all this happening before she's changed. However...There is a light airiness about rogue, an "I don't give a damn" attitude that i think was with her before she developed Carol Danver's powers. Though, that scene with the glove sort of showed a little of the rogue that i've read and watched. Also i also agree with the storm thing...love halle but storm is more of a motherly figure and she's portraying her as a sisterly sort...i guess we'll see how the new movie is...(though love the new storm hair) (oh and while i think channing is beautiful...i don't know how he would be as gambit. He just doesn't look like him to me. Maybe Wentworth Miller (i know over kill) but i think he's more believeable...and because i've written so much i now realize how much of a nerd I am!

I agree, I don't think Channing Tatum is the ideal choice for the role of Gambit. But if the character is going to be placed in the same age range as Rogue, then he’s a decent choice.

Now Josh Holloway of Lost would be perfect for the role of Gambit. I could easily see Holloway's Gambit replacing Hugh Jackman/Wolverine in future installments as the lead character, or simply becoming a central focus of the films with other leads (Jean Grey/Phoenix, Strom, Cyclops, & Wolverine -- should they return ). The only downside is a relationship with Rogue wouldn't workout, I feel, Gambit would/could be deemed "too old" for the mousy Rogue -- though some knowing glances between the two could work.

The problem is that in the comics Rogue and Phoenix are just too powerful...it wouldn't translate as well to the big screen. It will be interesting to see how far they take the Jean Grey storyline cause once she basically becomes a God...what do you do with that?

Yeah, I saw Hugh Jackman talking about Wolverine having his own spinoff film the other day on TV. I don't get why the character would need his own solo vehicle when the first two X-Men films were basically just that.

A while ago I had read somewhere that Colossus will be bisexual in this upcoming film, having crushes on both Rogue & Wolverine, can this be confirmed or denied at this stage? Or has anyone else heard/read about this as well?

I thought Channing Tatum was hotter a few years back, at the time those 'white undies on the bed' pics were taken. He had that boy-next-door college jock thing going on that I find so attractive. Now he's too tan, too emaciated, and too super-model-ish for my taste. But that's just my personal opinion.

I definately recommend Coach Carter and She's the Man. He was just so cute in She's the Man. His "sensitive jock" character just made it so much hotter. In Coach Carter his character was more urban/ghetto. Which I loved as well. He pulled it off really well. I love urban Channing as much as Sensitive jock Channing lol. But I'm mad he's dating Amanda.
