Just because Franco played Dean in a TV movie, shares the same first name, and kinda sorta but not really looks like him does not make him James Dean. It sickens me that people would think so. Cmon, seriously, would James Dean ever do the Spiderman movies?

I didn't catch "Spider-Man 3" after the lukewarm to terrible reviews, but one I was reading the other day of the DVD release mentioned "James Franco has improved so much as an actor in the years since the first film, you can't help but distractedly wonder what he might be like in the lead role instead of Tobey Maguire" and said he brought rich character shading and a nuanced performance to his role. Sounds like a winning combination; hot and talented. Anyone here also impressed with Franco's "Spider-Man 3" performance?

I liked his role in Spidy 3, and I think he must have gotten pointers from ole dad (William Dafoe, his dad in the films).

Anyone notice Dafoe in the audience at the nightclub when the black Spidey is being bad? The film may have gotten bad reviews, but if you are a comic fan the various scenes and nods to the original comics are brilliant.

See I've been a big fan of his for awhile now and have always thought he was gorgeous! Esp in Tristan and Isolde! But for some reason I didnt think he looked his best in Spiderman 3... something about how ashy and washed out he looked and his teeth seemed different to me.
