Well.. I think he looks more rugged and manly than the boyish pretty look he was rocking a few years ago. I think he looked good back then, and I still think he looks good now, but of course in another way. I can totally understand why people think he has lost some of his looks though.. if the pretty boyish thing was what they fell for, considering he doesn't really have that anymore.

Love Chace! And yeah, you might be thinking of that New York Observer article, "Outward Bound: Celebs Struggle To Keep Sexuality Secret(ish), But Media Make Mischief". They strongly "hinted"/implied that he might be gay, but deliberately structured the story in a way that probably came as close to the line as it could before it could be interpreted as slander/libel laws in journalism or outright (no pun intended, lol) outing him. Sneaky. The piece opened with:

At a crowded movie premiere in Midtown recently, The Observer witnessed a young movie and TV star—a dashing young man who’s been involved with several starlets despite whispers about his close relationships with other men—sitting for the entire party in close conversation with a well-groomed gent, even as his co-stars circulated. As we passed, the plus-one stared us down, as if to say, “Step off,” or perhaps, “Don’t you dare write about this.”

Nor did we, since the question of whether it is news that a virile young actor was enjoying the company of one man—if not the company of men—is very much still open.

And the piece ended with:

I know some people felt it was really in poor taste to put him in the article in the context they did. I think if I were writing the piece it might've been my choice not to identify any particular person in the closing sentence and let the opening of the piece cover it.

Well.. that's what living in the closet does to you. If the rumors are true (I'm not saying they are.. but if) that he has a boyfriend, it must be especially difficult to live a double life. I do feel bad for him, but at the same time he sealed his deal when he decided to stay in the closet. He could come out, maybe he would be happier then. But it's ultimately his choice. We don't have any say in it. He can choose to stay miserable in the closet, or come out, be happy, but potentially risk his career. He's still fairly young though. He might still come out. Maybe he will once Gossip Girl has finished? I hope he will, but then again.. he might choose not to. We'll just have to wait and see.

i agree. when Gossip Girl premiered he was like 23? i was stunned by how gorgeous he was. instantly became a huge fan. nowdays he looks kinda weird. don't know what it is, his hair looks awful recently. and he's 27 not that young anymore
