I'm new here but my hubby is a huge CHER fan. We live in Canada and he's travelled all over to see the various concerts. Last spring it was Vegas.
Does this woman never quit? LOL!!
We must have a fortune in CHER memorbilia by now.
We're on dial-up and can't see you-tube videos unless we head out for about 5 or 6 hours to wait for it to download. Can't wait to see his face tomorrow when I show him these!
Thanks for posting them!
Scott Country (that's me!) on baseball: "It's not about the bats and the balls. It's about the beards and the butts."
This has always been one of my favorite albums from this woman. It was released in 1982 and flopped really bad due to lack of promotion and because people were more focused on her new acting career. I don't know if many on here know this album but its probably my second favorite album the first being Stars (1975 WB).
The title track is probably the one that stands out the most, though most favor the first track Rudy.
It's also a a favorite of mine-first is Stars then I'd Rather Believe in You-then I Paralyze. The title track is amazing..too bad the album flopped. It really shouldve been a big hit and I think it wouldve been if it had better promotion. "Rudy" is also good but "I Paralyze" gives me chills!
Diva extraordinaire Cher's latest single, "You Haven't Seen the Last of Me," couldn't be titled more appropriately. Full story here and the song that catapulted to #1.
Don't care for the song much personally, but i'm really glad it isn't another generic dance song. Her voice is still very good, better than it was in the '80s ballades, but I hear a touch of Autotune on certain notes. Booooooooooo, stop using that shit on people who don't need it.
Although it is a good song, I don't think you can claim that she's had number ones in six consecutive decades. "Believe" hit number one in late '98 / early '99, and she hasn't had any songs to reach that far on the charts since (at least not in the 2000s). Hopefully, this song will mean another rise in her career, and another generation can be made aware of her talents.
"Celebrity News & Gossip: Discuss your favorite male celebrities. Who's hot, who's not, who gets you hot and bothered... you get the idea."
Do you know something we don't?
If you read the article, it says she is the only act to have a number one on a Billboard chart in the last six decades. That is true. In 2002, she hit number one on the Billboard dance charts twice - "Song for the Lonely" and "Different Kind of Love Song."
Cool, #1 on the irrelevant dance/club play chart.
Cher is a great Entertainer. Saw her in concert and she's one of the best!
I like this song. She was great in the movie Burlesque. She's a great actress. I wish she made more movies.
I know some people think Cher is one of the typical gay divas that some can't stand. To each their own, but this song REALLY is a good one. Its not like most of her songs it's very different.
All 3 of these vids are from the same album.
If you wanna hear Cher's vocals at her VERY best, check these out.
Never a single, but this will BLOW your mind, you won't believe Cher could pull something like this off.
I'm Blowin' away
BEST VOCALS of her entire discography.
It's A Man's World (Cover of James Brown) This is the title track of the same album, this album shows way more maturity then albums such as Believe, Living Proof, or Heart Of Stone.
I'm gonna forgive you because I know you're suffering nicotine withdrawal right now, but Man's World is one of Cher's weakest albums.
For Cher at her natural (unautotuned) warbling best, check out Bittersweet White Light from 1973:
I did own all the vinyl but regretfully sold them during hard times!
Can't believe Stars is still not available on CD
I haven't really checked out Cher's stuff, but I do enjoy her early single releases: 'Halfbreed', 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' and 'Dark Lady'.
Radio-friendly, easy listening material from the seventies? Eighties?
Not a Diva fan, by the way.
Many die hard fans know about Cher's album Stars from 1975. I was able to find a brand new unused copy of the double single Woman's Story/Baby I Love You to be released on stars, but was cut before release. Apparently Another song was cut from the album and that song is "LOVE SONG" originally sang by Lesley Duncan...
If anyone has a good quality version of this song PLEASE I have every other track from that rare era since nothing is on cd yet and can trade plz i need this one song and im done collecting. I bought everything there is of Cher but this song can not be bought
If it's out there, I should know about it. I can't seem to find any evidence of a record being released, and finding old and rare records for people is my profession, so I can't give you a lot of hope.
There do seem to be at least a couple clips of her performance of it in 1975 on video (YouTube etc) though.
BOSS: I'm sorry, but I'll have to lay you and Jack off.
SUE: Can you just jack off? I feel like shit today.

They only thing you did not buy from her was her mansion in Malibu CA, It's for sale. We drive by it often on or way to LA to go to the clubs. HUGE place... HUGE.

You cant change the way the wind blow's, but you can change the angle of your sail to take you somewhere else!!
Thanks guys I figured some fag would know on a gay forum lol
Is anyone else familiar with this album? I got the CD Remaster for my 14th birthday, but I am currently playing it on my turntable as I own everything this hag has ever put out there. On vinyl it sounds so much better, and as 9 years have gone by becoming a Cher fan, this December marking the 10th anniversary of discovering her.
I Paralyze now ranks as my second favorite Cher album, Stars coming first. I LOVE the title track, Games, and Rudy. I also like her remake of Do I Ever Cross Your Mind. Very pretty.
Just wanted to say HAPPY 66 th BIRTHDAY CHER,
Eternal youth and endless life. I'll sacrifice everything and everyone to obtain it
Happy Birthday Cher! She da bomb....do people still say that?
FPNYAnnoying JUBBERS since 2003
She's only 66 I thought she was in her 70s already. With all that face work she looks like she's in her mid 100s
In his autumn, before the winter, comes man's last mad surge of youth
You people better start showing some respect to Cher. It's not Shady Pines or the great beyond. It's her birthday, wait till your birthdays come, see what we say about you geezerly bastids....

I put together a compilation and making a booklet as I am with all of Cher's Warner releases.
The album kinda goes in chronological order and how Cher was feeling. The relationships center around Sonny, David Geffen, and Allman. The message is that Cher has had her heart broken. Cher could only be the strongest women she could be. And these are love stories from a woman. So listen to hear her stories.
1.Just This One Time
2.All I Ever Need Is You [With Sonny Bono]
3.Don't Hide Your Love
4.I saw a man and he danced with his wife.
5.I'd rather believe in you
6.When you find out where You're going let me know
7.I Hate to sleep alone
8.Bell Bottom Blues
9.Make The man Love Me
10.Baby I Love You
11.Living In A House Divided
12.You're Not Right for me. [With Sonny Bono)
13.The greatest song I've ever heard
14.A Love like yours (Don't Come Knockin' Everyday) [With Harry Nilsson]
15.The Way Of Love
19.Long Distance Love Affair
21.Do What You Gotta Do [With Gregg Allman]
22.One Honest Man
23.The Man I Love
24.A Woman's Story (Title Track)
For all Cher fans please lemme know what you think of this release.
I'm not familiar with every song on your list, but it looks like a great compilation. "A Woman's Story" is a pretty rare track, right?
I was actually working on a Cher compilation of my own last night, to put on my iPod. Nothing special though -- basically just a "greatest hits" with a few extras.
I ripped all cher's vinyl as lossless waves. I own the rare 45s that got deleted from her warner era. What do you think of the compilation?
Most of these songs I've never heard of..
Everything of the Warner Bros. Album was ignored by the public because the public's image of her changed at the time and did not perform well. Some consider the Stars album the best of her career now looking back. I ripped them all from mint lps and made cd covers inner inserts lyrics notes.. The album's theme is her love affairs of the 70s i should have put "too far gone" in there....
So I am putting together another Cher Compilation called Just Begin again which runs from 1987-1992.
When Lovers Become Strangers
Baby Im Yours
We All Sleep Alone
Shoop Shoop Song
Trail Of Broken Hearts
Love And Understanding
Heart Of Stone
Oh No Not My Baby
Just Like Jesse James
Dont Come Crying To Me
Save Up All Your Tears
If I Could Turn Back Time
Couldve been you
Just Begin Again
Whenever Youre Near
I Found Someone
What is your favorite era of her career? Thoughts on this year's new album?
Wow I can;t believe I've made so many Cher threads lol
I love Cher. It would be impossible for me to pick a specific era/label, but I'm a big disco/pop/dance music fiend so I'd probably pick 70's and late 90's/00's as my favourites. I love all the club mixes.
I didn't know she had a new album - haven't heard a single thing about it. Has it been released yet?

The only thing I've heard is that the new album is coming out later this year and she's supposed to be doing a duet with Lady Gaga.
I can't wait !!!!!!
its not a duet....gaga just wrote it and gave her the song
i dnt know her well but all i remember of her is how she lipsynched during divas live (turn back time song)
This was the psychedelic rock era when they started and ended in the 60s (Sonny & Cher.) Cher's solo efforts many times have the same sounds of psychedelic rock. Her album Jackson Highway (1969) is all psychedelic. I know Sonny & Cher said they were drug free, but I think that was a lie.
I cant wait for the new album
I think it was a lie, too. Their TV show was family oriented and that probably played a big part in the lie.
Everyone wants to be heard. No one wants to listen.
Cher probably did, the media wasn't as open as now. Linda Ronstadt did and smoked pot I was at a party, that she was at, and I did some too, I had such a crush on her, back then before she was realy famous. I remem ber my friends would say she not that good she will never make it.
I KNEW IT!!!! Cher was def part of the psychedelic area.
