about the gays in the philippines...

yes it's true that gays here are mostly bottoms... it's just that there's a clear distinction here with gays and bisexual men

in other countries, gays would either be top or bottom

in the philippines, gays are mostly bottom... and then bisexuals are either top or bottom.

bisexuals don't want to call themselves gays, that's why the word "gays" in the philippines strictly refer to the effeminate people, closet gays and people who go after other men only.

NO we are not. I'm filipino and i'm a top. I have a bunch of friends and it's split 50/50, tops and bottoms. So there are no general top or bottoms here. It's pretty evenly divided.

Regarding the gay issue, sadly most people here are so caught up in labeling. "Gays" here are effeminate peeps who dress in drag and have silicone boobs whilst "Bi's" are straight-acting guys who like guys but doesn't necessarily like women also. They call themselves "Bi's" but are not into the "i like men, i like women also", generally they only like men but the difference is they are straight-acting, in short, "Bi's" in the Philippines are nothing but "straight-acting gays" really. There is just a stigma in being called "gay" because most peeps here think they are only the drag type.

And nowadays my gawd we are plenty! It's like 20 percent of the male population are "straight-acting gays" or as we wrongly use as "Bi's" and 10 percent are gay gays. hahahahaha poor women coz we men just "eat each other" hehe

Say's who? I'm gay but I'm not effeminate at all. Of course, bisexual will not call themselves "gay" because they are not. If you look at the so called "bisexual" some are as effem as the real gays out there.

i... actually have a guy there :X.....

first of all, [these are my opinions of course]

he has a perfect physique, scratch that---literally perfect everything. [yes even that, if you are wondering xP]

he is just incredibly sweet and so caring.... he has hair kind of like piolo pascual. he has semi-dark kinda burnt tanned skin.

his skin is very rough because he works a lot but you can tell that he is just extremely gentle from his touch...

his dark eyes..... his smile is to die for and its actually all straight, white teeth, which i think is rare to have in the p.i.

and his voice... that very masculine tone... he can speak fluent english and tagalog, and a little bit of ilokano and visayan. he has that 'fobbish' filipino accent, but hell, on him, its fucking sexy...

and he also knows how to grow weed and smoke it too, lol. god, i miss this guy... i miss him so...

frustratingly, the words bading (effeminate, but still straight) and bakla (homosexual) are still used interchangeably in the philippines. i think, historically, gays who are not effeminate have never really been open until recently. it's kind of interesting how the meaning of these words might change in the next few years, especially considering how homosexuals who do not flamboyantly display feminine mannerisms are suddenly coming into the social limelight. yay!

hi there.. yeah distinction of gays and bisexuals in the Philippines are really confusing....

because i think bisexuals still belong to the gay community... but some bisexuals dont want to be branded as gays...i don't know why...

and i dont understand why some people who go after men only and are trying to act straight want to be called bisexuals, when in fact they don't like girls.

i consider bisexuals those who are really good in hiding themselves, also love girls and who are mistaken as straight real guys, like some gorgeous Filipino models.

But in general, FILIPINOS, whether bisexuals or gays, are truly GORGEOUS men. Believe me.
