there is no other artist like her.

I like this song. Anyone know who this is?
"Love me, hate me, say what ya want about me, but all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to If U Seek Amy"
Thoughts about the video.

yay i fixed it. tell me what you guys think bout the video.
Kelly looks so beautiful.
Honestly i don't like Kelly Clarkson but i love this song it makes me cry although the video is Lame
That was such a unique and gorgeous video. Kelly looked amazing in it! I loved that it was just her the whole time. It fit the song very well! LOVED IT!
Oh no I do not hook up, up. I fall deep. Cause the more that you true the harder I'll fight to say goodnight...
loved it....she looks gorgeous in it.
When you have a new cd coming out you should look your best. Girl gained a ton and looks fat as hell.

I heard she fought like hell to not have this song released as a single because it has the exact same backup track as Beyonce's Halo, but her label released it anyway.
I am always rooting for Kelly but lately it seems like she keeps getting involved in battles and she always seems to lose.
this is a respond to Jayden.
I dont care if kelly is a size 0 or a size 12.
i just care bout her great voice. i didnt buy the cd cuz of the way she looks.
this is a respond to Ares
I tired of kelly getting screwed over.
first it was My December.
now this.
the record company is stupid for doing that.
i heard that she wanted if i cant have you as the next single.
which is a hot song.
i wanted cry instead of this song.
its not my favorite song on the album, but the video is okay.
"Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself."*Leo Tolstoy
Yeah, it doesn't seem like her label respects her opinion very much.
But it can only happen so many times until you have to start wondering, why does this always happen to Kelly?
I wonder how her management team is doing. She switched to Reba's husband a while back. It was always puzzling to me since he had absolutely no experience managing a pop star's career. I suppose if Joe Simpson can do it, anyone can, but still I don't think it was a wise choice for Kelly.
Love the song and now I love the video... ya she has gained some weight, but I have to admit that girl has a voice that can make one overlook her weight.
I should really be doing homework right now...
Ares
yea.
i know what you mean.
i read on a website earlier that in the vid.
kelly commited suicide.
that the record company didnt want to realease the vid cuz it was too dark.
I absolutely LOVED the title track, but this is a gorgeous song. and shut the fuck up about her weight. She is gorgeous and her voice is out of this world.
This is the elimination song for the girls on So You Think You Can Dance! I like it!
You know everytime I think 'bout you, baby...
It's like a movie in my head that drives me crazy...
I try to fight it, try to hide it, can't contain it, so amazing...
Like I'm daydreaming... again!
I like the song,... but the Veronica Lake look does her no justice--in fact (and it pains me to say this), in the video, she looks more like Kelly Osborne than Veronica Lake.
Hockey First!
Yes. She's fat. Who cares?
What annoys me is that this isn't anything special and, in fact, isn't really a "song" she wrote. She just bought the same background tapes the Beyonce did and made up some words to warble over it. It's just some "make your own Karaoke" thing.
Does nobody actually write music anymore?
We'll meet again...
The video was bland. In addition, I've seen similar concepts done before with videos. I just was not impressed by anything.
Actually...Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic wrote and produced both tracks....there are many songs from recent years that were both released as singles and used the same track from the same producer.
Nicole Scherzinger "Whatever You Like" used the same track as Kelis' "Blindfold Me"

then there was this Lumidee song "Never Leave You(uh Oh)....and for the life of me I can't remember the other track that used this...but it came out like right at the same time as eachother.

You have to love pop music today.
lol.

omg.
i just read this.
there are thinking of dropping her

Love the song, love Kelly, like the video.
Favorite song on the album is still "If No One Will Listen"
LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!

"Honey, I'm fabulous....I'm an incredible dancer, I've got buckets of money, I'm a hoot and a half and I got a killer rack!" - Karen Walker (W&G)
Wow.. where are they going to find another fat Karaoke singer to make up random words to go over an instrumental track she had no part in creating?
We'll meet again...
AHAHAHA! Ouch. I'm a fan of the new album, All I Ever Wanted but that was effing hilarious. On the other hand, she isn't exactly a walrus. She has a bit of extra poundage going on but there are much fatter people who seem to get away with it. JHud prepregnancy, Jordin Sparks, etc.
As for the video, I think its good but not amazing. Nothing spectacular. There are way better songs on the album too so I don't see why it was so important to release that one.
Kelly didnt even want to release this song.
she didnt want people to think it was a Beyonce rip-off.
Well Beyonce is rip -offs people aswell so Kelly shouldn't feel bad. It seems like its a common thing to see people that called themselves artists rip off one another. No wonder the music industry is crumpling...
Exactly, which is why Kelly needs to chill. Every song (and I mean EVERY) on the radio sounds exactly like another that came out two weeks before it. You name the artist and the song and I'll find you it's long lost twin in less than ten minutes.
All of them are fucking lazy and banal. Hell, I didn't really notice much of a similarity between the two until she pointed it out. I did figure b/c it's produced by Ryan Tedder that's why is sounds a little bit like Halo, and every other song he's written for a female pop star. I swear, I dunno where Kelly has been, but Ryan doles out the same cheesy inspirational love song for all of his clients.
yea
i hope she gets more artisitic freedom.
Funny how Kelly is considered a "copycat" when Beyonce didn't write or produce Halo. That was for Leona Lewis originally. Ryan Tedder is responsible for both songs.
People just can't leave Kelly alone.
And SURPRISINGLY --- Ryan Tedder is a producer of Jennifer Lopez's "Do It Well". Still shocking to me.
I hate that song by Gaga "Just Dance" with a passion, so I don't really recall how that one goes. I go out of my way to skip past when I listen to her album, for some reason "Just Dance" bugs the living poo out of me. It's too damn annoying of a song.
As far as contemporary artists biting off of Prince's shit, I can't think of a twin right now for "Kiss", but Alicia Keys and Justin Timberfake both famously used the piano loop at the end of "Purple Rain" for their songs "Like You'll Never See Me Again" and "Let Me Set The Mood Prelude". What made it so bad is that both of those songs came out right behind each other, I couldn't tell which one belonged to who-it's practically the same song sung by two different people.
I've always been a fan of Kelly but I completely forgot how impressive she can be vocally until I came across this Youtube summary of her AI performances [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RN0m1m0h15o[/ame]
American Idol will never find another singer again who can perform the way she can. It's a shame that they had her for the very first season, because there's no way anyone can surpass her. It's all been downhill after that.
That was just amazing.
I have never seen Kelly Clarkson on Idol as I didn't watch the first season of Idol.
I have to agree, I'm struggling to think of another Idol contestant that can actually match up to the power of her vocals, cos that clip was just one powerhouse vocal performance after another.
You could tell that towards the finals, her voice was deteriorating a little though... Getting just a little bit "shouty", but even then, it was better than any other Idol contestant I've watched...
I have been watching AI from the beginning. Kelly was ONE of my favorites on there, and really since season 1 I don't think there has been as many great singers, while there has been some good ones. Her voice was starting to go toward the end, but considering this was the first season of AI nobody really knew how huge it would get, or what the benefits would be of being the winner (or top 10 really).
However my very favorite on season 1 was Tamyra Gray. She only came out with one cd, and has been doing broadway since (Rent for one, that I know of). In my opinion she was better than Kelly, but certainly Kelly was/is very good.
it's too bad that 8 minutes of awesomeness ended with a off key note by Nikki McKibbon...hahaha
Carrie Underwood is better.

New Kelly Clarkson Track, 'Let Me Down,' Leaks Online: Listen
Kelly Clarkson-Let Me Down
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1b7_tP_EZGo&feature=player_embedded[/ame]
Let Me Down," a seething new Kelly Clarkson song that may appear on the singer's forthcoming fifth album, leaked online in its entirety on Wednesday (July 6), after snippets of the track surfaced earlier this week.
"Let Me Down" finds Clarkson railing against romantic frustration as she previously did in singles like "Because of You" and "Never Again," with a catchy guitar hook and pummeling percussion mirroring the singer's melodic woes. "I've been dying to open my eyes/See you try instead of always leaving me out to dry," Clarkson sneers before the second chorus kicks in.
Last May, Clarkson told fans on Facebook that the first taste of the follow-up to 2009's "All I Ever Wanted" would be released during the summer, following a series of leaked demos. "The recording is all done and now we're finishing up with mixing the record and getting ready to release the single in July," she wrote.
A representative for RCA Music Group declined to comment as to whether or not "Let Me Down" will appear on Clarkson's next album, which is due out this fall, or when the song will be officially released.
