    Vintage TV Turn-ons! Remember These?

This is for some of you - who appreciate some "vintage TV":

These are just some that I remember from my early days. I don't even know what happened to some of these guys. Would like to hear your comments/thoughts ...
    (I hope I can get these correct: forgive me if I don't ...): Here's a few:

The Rifleman: Chuck Connors & Johnny Crawford (Marc was hot!)...(Lucas too!)

Dobie Gillis: Dwayne Hickman (Dobie = "like ... wow, man!")

My Three Sons: all those guys were great! (Chip - Stanley Livingston, was always
my favorite, but Robbie - Don Grady was a cute guy too!)

The Donna Reed Show: Paul Petersen (Jeff - what a cutie!)

Father Knows Best: Billy Gray (Bud .... "Oh, Bud ... !")

Leave It To Beaver: Tony Dow (Wally - wish he had been my older brother!)

Ozzie & Harriet: Ricky & David (real-life guys - were both good-looking guys!)

Rawhide: Eric Fleming (Gil Favor) and Clint Eastwood (Rowdy Yates) ... nuff said!

Bonanza: Michael Landon (Little Joe) and Pernell Roberts (Adam) - "giddy up!"

The Mickey Mouse Club: so many I can't even remember them all (Lonnie, Tommy)

And I am probably forgetting SO many - who all caught my attention back in the "glory days of television!" I will never forget what an effect they all had on me! I know that some of you remember these, and maybe some that I forgot. What do ya think? ...

hey, man - you must have been watching TV with me and popping wood to the same guys !! I remember them all -- Paul Peterson, Don Grady and Rick Nelson - OMG !! I could barely concentrate on the actual show -- and isn't Johnny Crawford "out"?? only one missing that I can think of right now is Flash Gordon, and a couple of cowboys like the LoneRanger and much later -- Captain Fucking Kirk - BEAM ME UP !!

Does anyone remember The Lawman - John Russell and Peter Brown were both fantasies of mine. I remember getting closer to the TV set whenever their show was on and my mother always telling me I would go blind from sitting so close to it. Even then I was attracted to hot men. Another hottie was Clint Walker (I'll have to find pictures of him).

Re: Vintage TV Turn-ons! Remember These?

Chuck Conners did a gay porn back in the very, very start of his career. There's a picture from it of Conners getting a blow-job from a man that still exists.

Johnny Crawford showed his dick (As an adult) in a movie called "The Naked Ape" in 1973. Not erect.

I've met Dwayne Hickman, but never found him hot. Now his brother Darryl was not only VERY hot, but was still hot as recently as his appearance on THE NANNY ten years ago, when he was in his 60s.

You thought Stanley Livingston was hot? Not me. I just met him last year. Nice guy. Very intelligent. Not remotely sexy. Don Grady STILL looks hot, but he also looks these days like he's had a LOT of work done. You didn't mention Tim Considine. Hot then, still pretty cute, though quite paunchy.

Tony Dow has a thread above. Smokin' hot then. I'd still do him now.

The Nelson Brothers were always very sexy. Ricky gets all the adulation, but I always thought David was hot too.

On the Mickey Mouse Club, I never found Tommy hot, but, looking at old MMC shows again on DVD, I am struck by how really beautiful Lonnie was back then. He grew up to be a really repulsive troll, but he was a gorgeous teenager. David Stollery of "Spin & Marty", though mildly attractive as a boy, became a very sexy, smart man. Of course Tommy Kirk was kind of cute as a boy, but not at all as a man, and not the brightest candle on the alter. I've met him, and he's VERY out as gay now. He says that Walt Disney personally had him fired when they found out he was gay, even though he'd starred in some of their most successful films. He had major drug problems after then, which may account for his mental and physical deterioration. Nice man though, and quite committed to being an out and proud, honest gay man.

Of course, we can't forget Robert Conrad of "The Wild, Wild West", Glenn Corbett who replaced gay George Maharis in "Route 66", and the incredible Brian Kelly (the dad in Flipper).

I saw a rerun of a series from 1988-1991 called Tour of Duty. It featured very handsome men, the greatest was Tony Becker. Pics anyone? Click on my siggie then.

Robert Conrad guested on a radio show I produced back in 1974. I spent an hour in a room talking with him. He's a real right-wing straight jerk, and talked endlessly about all his sexual conquests - all women of course.

But he was so incredibly gorgeous that, even though his personality was repulsing me, I was nonetheless erect the whole time I was with him.

Robert Reed as Mike Brady on the Brady Bunch, especially when they where in Hawii. Wish someone had some pics of him in his swim trunks and shirtless, he was fucking hot.

Here are a few crushes I had....

My sister was nuts over Bobby Sherman in "Here Come the Brides" and (secretly) I was too...

Bobby Sherman is now a cop in San Bernardino, California....

For some reason I had a big crush on the young actor from India named Sajid Kahn, who was in a TV series called "Maya" with Jay North. He's on the right in this photo...

Can't find any good pictures of him though. He's now a successful businessman in India.

I always thought Christopher Knight was the best-looking guy on "The Brady Bunch" despite the clothes...

And he's still hot today, in my opinion...

I also liked Jeffrey Hunter, who was primarily a movie actor (shown here in "The Searchers")...

But he also did guest appearances on many TV series in the 1950s and 1960s. He starred in a short-lived TV series called "Temple Houston." He played the role of Capt. Christopher Pike on the pilot episode of Star Trek, which was originally supposed to be the lead role on the show, but the producers liked William Shatner's Capt. Kirk better and made that the lead role instead. Here he is in a publicity shot with a young Robert Wagner behind him...

Sadly, he died in 1969 at the age of 42, after a suspected stroke, a fall and then another stroke.

And one other. In 1974, there was a short-lived TV series verson of "Planet of the Apes" and I was captivated by James Naughton...

He's now a successful Broadway actor, having won a Tony award in 1990 for "City of Angels" and again in 1997 for "Chicago," and he was also in the movie "The Devil Wears Prada." He doesn't turn me on now, though. His brother is actor David Naughton.

YES! I was probably around 9 when he was on the Planet of the Apes TV show, but I wanted him. He made a Canadian TV movie in the late 70s where he quits his job as a stockbroker and starts training for a marathon, and there are plenty of shots of him in his shorts, with his shirt off, all sweaty, and I watch it often. Even though he's probably in his 60s I'd probably still do him. Sexy, sexy man.

Barry Livingston (who played the fourth son, Ernie, on My Three Sons) used to frequent Roosterfish, the local gay bar here in Venice. Johnny Crawford, another Mouseketeer, might be gay - he did get married in 1995 at the age of 49...

Of the vintage 50s - 60s shows, I liked Bud on Father Knows Best, Paul Peterson of The Donna Reed Show (although Dr. Stone wasn't bad), Tony Dow of Leave It To Beaver, and Doug McClure of The Virginian. I also liked the tight outfits that Robert Conrad wore on The Wild, Wild West.

I thought I was the only person in the world who knew who Sajid was. (And, not to be picky, but it's 'Khan', not 'Kahn' )

How about Jan-Michael Vincent, eh? He was pretty hot stuff. Loved him in Airwolf!

Did your "Early Gaydar" perhaps read the autobiography Tab Hunter published two years ago, in which he came out, and discussed his life as a closetted gay man in Hollywood at length and in great detail?

Tab Hunter was as beautiful as they cum. I met him when he was promoting his book, and, in his mid-70s, he's still hot and I'd still do him, except his lover of 20 years was there, WATCHING LIKE A HAWK!!!

Gsdx, be warned, Jan Michael Vincent, though hot once upon a time, is a MAJOR asshole, and violent. You would not want to get into any kind of contact with him, unless you desire abuse and hospitalization.

bw92116, while I don't see whatever you saw in Bobby Sherman (I have a close friend who shares your Sherman passion) I completely agree about Jeffrey Hunter. He was a total fox. His death was tragic. Good actor too.

Re: Vintage TV Turn-ons! Remember These?

Funny, everybody liked Luke Halpin on "Flipper", but it was Luke's father, Brian Kelly, who REALLY turned me on. I got a kick out of the mentions of Sajid Khan. When my sister used to plaster her bedroom walls with photos from Tiger Beat Magazine (Davy Jones, Bobby Sherman, David Cassidy, etc), she had pictures of Sajid Khan. I asked her who he was. She said she didn't know, but they kept putting him in every issue. LOL

    Hey!
THANKS! - to everyone for your great pictures, etc. - I appreciate those!
Some of you are far more knowledgeable than I about many of these guys - I have learned alot of things that I didn't previously know! Thank you for all the info! I love to keep the memory of these guys alive! They were beautiful dudes "back in the day" and many continued to be long afterwards (although, time takes it toll on many of us ... Ha!)

I knew that I probably forgot some good ones - and you have all come through, again - with some great memories. Thanks!

I love hearing your remembrances and what a turn on many of these guys were for you! I know that they will remain fond memories for me!

In the black-and-white picture in the post above, Christian Conrad is on the right, in the striped pants. He looked much better on "High Mountain Rangers," without the blow-dried hair and with more rugged manly clothes on (and sometimes without a shirt).

Van Williams - SURFSIDE 6 & THE GREEN HORNET.
Edd Byrnes - 77 SUNSET STRIP
    Doug McClure - CHECKMATE.

Aside from Doug McClure & Rick Nelson, I know that Michael Landon, Eric Fleming, John Russell & Chuck Connors have all passed away.

There was (a few yrs ago) a porn star who went by the name Dave Nelson. He looked remarkably like David Nelson; no doubt the reason for the name.

First and foremost, Clint Walker. The producers of his show weren't stupid, they got his shirt off almost every week.
Also - the guy who played Grizzly Adams. Martin Milner. Tony Dow. And finally, the other redhead from Happy Days - Ralph Malph, I think. Check him out in his drawers in Stewardess School.

I can't get your reference in your post (#4 on this thread) ... to Chuck Connor's early porn movie ... wow! ... did not know that!

Where might one find the picture you mentioned? I am sure that I am not the only one on this post who was interested in having a look at that one!

    ....
If I remember rightly, and it's been 30 years or so, I first saw the porn shot of Conners in the book HOLLYWOOD BABYLON, or it might have been HOLLYWOOD BABYLON II, both by Kenneth Anger. Where else you might find it I don't know, but do enough websearching you can probably find it. It's real, and it's from about 55 or 60 years ago.

I used to luuuuuuuuuuuuurve Scott Baio on Charles In Charge!

And when I started jacking it,I used to pretend that Wally Cleaver and his friend...(what was his friend's name...was it Eddie Haskell?) would be in the room with me and we'd be doing a circle jerk....so many memories!!!

Might it have been Clarence 'Lumpy' Rutherford?

Contributors have certainly put together a great list of hotties, although Alan Kayser (Bubba Higgins in Momma's Family) is conspicuously absent. Kayser is honored in his own thread, however, so all is good.

But the one actor, above all, who made me squirm long before I knew what "gay" meant as it is used now was the late 6'5", 200 lb. Gardner McKay, star of the South Seas series Adventures in Paradise. As my psychosexuality developed, McKay became the archetype of the perfect man for me; he remains so to this day.

Wow! - Adventures In Paradise - I had forgotten all about that one! You have a great memory for these shows, "dude!" I agree with you - wholeheartedly - that guy - Gardner McKay - was someone who definitely made you take notice!
I was very much like you: at the time, I had no clue about what being "gay" was about - I had not even heard that term used! ... but I DID know that there was just "something" about that guy on the screen that "gave me a tingle!" (know what I mean ...?)
I can remember that I used to give my parents all kinds of hell, begging them to stay up past my bedtime, to watch that show! I was always a very obedient kid, but I REALLY had a thing for that show!
Good memories! - Thanks for reminding me of that one!

Nobody has mentioned Peter Breck from The Big Valley. He almost always showed a very huge dick bulge hanging down his leg. Anyone got any screen caps?

I heard a rumor that Kent McCord did a centerfold or something. Any truth?
