    Umbrella Patch

Guys this is getting serious, i cannot stop listening to UMBRELLA.

I need a 12 step program, i don't know what's happening to me, not even IRREPLACEABLE did this to me and i loved that song.

This song is so awesome, "Under my umbrella, ella, ella, ay, ay, ay

I am going crazy i need an umbrella patch. I mean gosh the song just came out on Friday and i am like this, whats going to happen when the video comes out .

I am writing a report for a presentation next week and UMBRELLA is my caffine so i can get it done. Its becoming the air i breathe.

The longest i can go without hearing it is 45 minutes after that, i start to hyperventilate.

    UMBRELLA has become my CPR.

I try to take mini breaks away from UMBRELLA and listen to other songs so as not to overdose on it but i don't know guys...

And now i have developed this incredible fear that they will severely fu_k up the video and if they do its then i will self destruct.

    Ella, ella, ay, ay ,ay

Umbrella" scores Rihanna's highest Rhythm debut ever

Looks like i am not the only one who is addicted to this song radio loves it too.

    Here is the article,

(New York, NY) RIAA platinum, award-winning SRP/Def Jam recording artist and newly signed CoverGirl spokesperson - Rihanna celebrates the exclusive premiere of the video for her current single "Umbrella" (featuring JAY-Z). The "Umbrella" video premieres TODAY on thisisrihanna.com website.

CoverGirl is presenting Rihanna's exclusive video debut at thisisrihanna.com. "Umbrella" was directed by Chris Applebaum, who shot Rihanna's "S.O.S. (Rescue Me)."

Rihanna scored her highest career debut at Rhythm Radio last week when "Umbrella" entered the R&R (Radio & Records) BDS Rhythmic chart at #31-bullet (the #2 Most Increased audience of the week, +1.2 million to a total of 4.9 million!).

This week marks the song's official impact at radio. "Umbrella" is the #1 most added at the Pop and Rhythm format, with over 110 pop stations on impact and over 50 Rhythm adds.

The single has over 40 million in audience and over 5300 spins. "Umbrella" is the first single from Rihanna's eagerly awaited third album (in two years), Good Girl Gone Bad, set for June 5th release.

Rihanna enjoyed a tidal wave of industry acclaim in 2006 with her RIAA platinum second album A Girl Like Me, and its back-to-back #1 hits, "S.O.S." and "Unfaithful." At the year-end Billboard Music Awards on December 4th, she took away four top honors, including FEMALE ARTIST OF THE YEAR, FEMALE HOT 100 ARTIST OF THE YEAR, FEMALE POP 100 ARTIST OF THE YEAR, and HOT DANCE AIRPLAY SONG OF THE YEAR for "S.O.S." She finished out the year as guest performer on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve spectacular.

In July 2007, 19-year old Rihanna will be seen in her first ads as a CoverGirl, joining the ranks of Queen Latifah, Molly Sims, Christie Brinkley and Keri Russell. The long list of famous CoverGirl models (which began in 1961) also boasts Cheryl Tiegs, Rachel Hunter, Tyra Banks, and Niki Taylor.

How awesome is this young lady.

    Re: Umbrella Patch

People need to stop making fun of Rihanna just because this is her 3 rd album in as many years and how she is releasing another single so soon. The single is called, "Shut up and Drive" which is hot by the way.

    Look at these quotes,

Love the title! She should wait for 'Umbrella' to peak though.

I'm not a huge fan of hers but I love the name of the song, so I can't wait to hear it.

This song sounds HOT! I am lovin her album titles this era! They are very different and I like that!!

She's pullin a JT. Might work, might backfire.. I think its a good idea, get her stuff out before Mariah does lol. She would be shadowed by Mariah.
Well in 2005, "Pon De Replay" would have been number 1 if it wasn't for "We Belong Together" by Mariah lol

lol she'll have like 10 albums within the next five years...
her next album will be out in janurary 08 u watch.
    What's wrong with her?

I predict that she'll get anothier hit with this song and then no more. Rihanna should stop releasing albums and just release singles.
She's definitely a singles mover. Not an album artist. And a pawn of her label. She'll be history in no time.

lol she has been releasing singles with really weird titles lately.

But as someone said, she is not really an album artist... Her last album only sold 1.1 million in the US, which is okay, but still... With having two really successful singles you would think she would have sold more, lol...
haha yeah I'm still not over that album title

Yeah, she's so fabricated for radio. It's cool, because not everyone has to try to be so deep. She's good at this.
Also note that all her singles released after her albums tank. (Even though Unfaithful [I always thought Murderer would have been a much cooler title] was her second single, it was announced for release even before the album had dropped). It's like a curse or something.

Wait, so that means that song will be on radio on june? right after the video of umbrella? isnt that too quick….

I think that’s way to quick, she or the record label should wait a little longer and also promote her single and her a little bit more.

Even though she was only two when the Eighties ended, Barbadian pop princess Rihanna is steadfastly devoted to the decade: She hit Number One last year with the “Tainted Love”-cribbing “SOS,” and her new disc’s standout track, “Shut Up and Drive,” features the bass line from New Order’s “Blue Monday.” “It’s edgier,” Rihanna says about her new album during a break from recording a track with Timbaland and Justin Timberlake. “Umbrella,” with Jay-Z, is a midtempo ballad, and “Breakin’ Dishes” expresses the dinnerware-smashing fury of a woman scorned. “I know ladies can relate to that song,” she says.

Look, "Shut up and Drive" is a hot song and i like but by June 5th Umbrella is till going to HUGE. it really hasn't even started its rise yet.

lol well wait till you hear, "Shut up and Drive." It's a hot song and will probably be huge too but i still like UMBRELLA more, ella, ella lol.

As hot as "SUAD" is, June 5th just seems too soon to release it.

Well Good Girl Gone bad is the best song on the album and really showcases her matured vocals, but Shut up and Drive is a nice song too and you forget that its not just about the song as its a marketing move to release it as the second single because the song will be used to sell cars.

Remember S.O.S was for the NIKE campaign last year. Rehab will more than likely be the 4th or 5th single if they stretch the album because in all reality any song could be a single from "Good Girl Gone Bad."

Oh i just saw pictures of Rihanna on the set of, "Shut up and Drive" She looks so hot in those barely there shorts and leather jacket. The cars are hot too. The video is estimated at US 600,000.
